Chapter 130: East. 1937 CE
[Somewhere near the pass of K’un-Lun]
Pluto and Thena were walking quietly towards a direction in the mountain. They didn’t bring anything, only themselves. It was a windy day, the winds of the trees around them were blowing gently, and the fresh air hit Pluto’s nostrils.
“Are you sure this will be it?” Thena questioned rather calmly, but Pluto could tell that she was a bit scared and excited at the same time.
“I don’t know, love.” hummed Pluto. “If we want to create life, we need to study life itself, K'un-Lun might know what we’re looking for.”
As they neared a pass, Pluto sensed something familiar around him.
“I smell… my kind, my lord.” Smaug spoke in his mind.
“Your kind? You mean a dragon?” Pluto questioned.
“It’s faint… but I know it is.”
Pluto hummed. “Careful, a dragon near here.”
“A dragon?” Thena raised her eyebrow. “That sounds fun.”
Pluto rolled his eyes in amusement, and walked closer to the pass. Suddenly, a man dropped from the rocks above, attacking Pluto and Thena from the sky.
Thena quickly summoned her shield, and her shield held the man’s punch. The man’s hands were glowing golden, he was bare-chested, a dragon-like tattoo visible.
Pluto then kicked the man from Thena, and the man slammed towards the mountain rocks, cracking it. The man quickly recovered, and made a stance.
“We just want to talk,” said Pluto as he approached him. “We need to go to K’un-Lun.”
The man frowned, and rushed towards Pluto. His fist glowed golden, and he tried to slam it to Pluto’s face.
But, Pluto caught the fist easily, surprising the man in front of him. “Iron Fist, you have no chance against us, we’re not trying to attack K’un-Lun, we are seeking answers.”
Iron Fist’s eyes widened as Pluto knew his nickname, and stepped back. He stretched his fist, as it hurt a bit when Pluto stopped it. “What do you seek from us, strangers?”
“We seek knowledge,” said Pluto calmly. “To create life itself.”
“Life? You mean you want a child?” questioned the Iron fist.
“Yes.”
“Then just make one.” said the Iron fist with a weird face. “Don’t tell me you don’t know how to have sex…”
Pluto sighed in annoyance. “Look at us. Are we alive in your eyes?”
“What do you mean? of course you ar–” The Iron fist stopped speaking as he noticed something. “You… Undead?”
“Of course not.” Pluto scoffed.
“I sensed a familiar energy from you.” said the Iron fist, pointing at Pluto. “But you, lady, it’s as if you are not alive at all…”
“We’re not humans.” Thena stated. “We… I don’t know how to say it… Synthetic humans?”
“You mean Androids?”
“So you know about that kind of stuff.” Pluto sighed. “Yes, we’re androids.”
“Then I’m sorry,” said the Iron Fist. “K’un-Lun won’t be able to teach you anything. Without life force, one cannot practice Chi.”
“Yes, I know, I just want to know if it’s possible to have a baby or not.”
“No.” said the Iron Fist. “As far as I know, no, and I’m quite knowledgeable about this. And even right now, you can’t enter K’un-Lun, the pass only opens every 15 years, today is not the day.”
Pluto sighed in disappointment. “Well, that’s a waste of time. Fine, sorry to take up your time, oh, one more thing.”
Pluto’s eyes then turned golden, and above them, Smaug appeared with his golden body, floating menacingly in front of Iron Fist.
He gulped at the sight. A dragon? This stranger could summon a dragon?
“He has the smell of my kind, my lord.” confirmed Smaug, speaking loudly. “I do not know what happened to him, however, I suspect he killed him.”
“I did not kill him.” the Iron Fist refuted. “He lives in K’un-Lun, guarding his heart. I have been graced by him, to bore the power of the Iron Fist.”
“Well Smaug, that settles it, no need to get mad over it.” Pluto hummed. “Maybe we’ll visit another time, to see your kind, but until then, we should go.”
“Very well, my lod. Forgive me for having wasted your time…”
“Eh, not really, I’m curious as well.” Pluto shrugged as he opened a portal, “Love?”
Thena entered the portal first, and Pluto entered next, leaving the Iron Fist alone.
He sat against the cracked wall of the mountain, and sighed as he felt some of his bones broken. “Damn, that guy packs a punch…”
