Chapter 90 The Unexpected Old Man
Fir woke to the sound of his phone ringing. He groggily stretched his legs and walked over to the window to open up the curtains.
"What was that weird dream?" he muttered to himself, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. The dream was hazy, but he knew it was important. Unfortunately, he could only remember some of it.
Glancing at his watch, he saw that it was already 6:00 am. It had been days since he discovered he wasn't human, but he'd adjusted quickly.
Knock knock.
He heard a knock on the door and called out,
"It's open."
The door opened up and the maids entered, looking stunning in their new uniforms.
"Just four rounds. I have something to do today," Fir chuckled.
The maids looked disappointed, but he had other things on his mind. He had a feeling that something big was about to happen, and he needed to be ready.
The maids fawned over him in the bath, their hands moving over his body as he lay back and enjoyed the attention. It was a routine they did every day, and he couldn't deny that he enjoyed it. Besides, he knew from experience that his libido would build up if he didn't release it, so he saw it as a necessary indulgence.
As for Isabella, Evangeline had told him that she was on an important mission and would be back soon. He wondered what it could be, but he trusted her judgment. He discovered that Isabella was a force to be reckoned with, and he knew she could handle anything that came her way. For now, he would just have to wait for her return.
"Master Fenrir," one of the maids interrupted his morning routine. "Mother Evangeline told us that you have to meet someone today."
"Who?" he asked, while they dressed him in his usual designer clothes.
"We don't know," the maid replied, handing him a piece of paper. "But she gave me this address."
Fir took the paper and quickly scanned the contents. "Looks like I have to go to this place" he muttered to himself, committing it to memory. He would pay this place a visit after breakfast.
And what a breakfast it was. The table was filled with A5 Wagyu steak cooked to a perfect medium-rare, accompanied by a bottle of expensive wine, Pula cheese that cost a whopping $600 per pound, and a high-quality breed with exclusive caviar filling.
But To Fir, it was just a normal meal - he had no memories of ever eating cheap food. He didn't even know that they were the most expensive types of food money could buy.
He savored every bite as if it were just another day. And who could blame him? He was used to the finer things in life, after all.
After his breakfast
He revved up his fully customized black GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 as he made his way towards the location that Evangeline had instructed him to go. The drive was long, but he didn't mind as he had the highway to himself.
As he drove, his mind wandered to the events of the past few days. He had checked in with Justin and Elaine regarding Zelena's condition, but there was no significant improvement. Elaine had gone back to New York to focus on her studies, while Justin was busy with work.
Fir had asked Evangeline if there was anything she could do to help heal Zelena, but she had assured him that Zelena was meant to survive and recover on her own. He had to trust in her words.
Finally, after an hour of driving, he reached the turn-off that led to a bumpy road.
"Good thing I'm driving a hummer," he thought to himself as he navigated the uneven terrain with ease.
The road wound through the hills, with tall trees on either side blocking the sunlight. The air grew cooler, and Fir felt refreshed inhaling the cold air . He wondered where this road would lead him.
After a few more twists and turns, the road opened up into a large clearing.
In the center of the clearing was a sprawling farm, with fields of crops stretching out as far as the eye could see. A few cows were grazing in a nearby pasture, and a rooster crowded in the distance.
He couldn't believe his eyes. This was a completely different world from the city he was used to. He wondered what Evangeline had in store for him here.
The dusty farm seemed out of place in the modern world, but Fir's customized Hummer EV Edition 1 was more than capable of handling the terrain. As he pulled up to the farm, a man with a cowboy hat approached him, drawing Fir's attention.
"How can I help you?" the man asked.
"Evangeline sent me here," Fir replied, trying not to show his surprise at the cowboy's appearance.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ "Are you perhaps Fir?" the man asked.
"Yes, I am," he confirmed.
"Good. My boss has been expecting you. Follow me." The cowboy nodded.
Fir hesitated for a moment, taking in the rustic surroundings, but then he followed the cowboy into the house.
The farmhouse was a quintessential California ranch-style abode, with its white-painted walls and red tile roof. The scent of freshly baked apple pie wafted through the air, giving the place a warm and cozy feel.
The interior of the house was rustic and cozy, with hardwood floors and wooden beams that crisscrossed the ceiling. The walls were painted in a warm, creamy white color, and the large windows let in plenty of natural light.
As they walked through the hallway, he noticed that the walls were adorned with artwork and photographs. The doors were made of solid wood and had ornate handles, and the floors were covered in plush area rugs.
Fir was led to a room where he saw an old man sitting on a rocking chair, wearing a cowboy hat, and smoking a cigar. He looked up at Fir and nodded in greeting.
"Welcome, Fir. I've been expecting you," the man said in a deep, raspy voice.
"I'm here as instructed by Evangeline," Fir replied, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
The man chuckled and leaned back on his chair.
"Yes, I know. She told me you would come. My name is William, and I will be training you starting today "
Fenrir arched a brow in disbelief.
"Train me?" he repeated, skepticism lacing his tone. What could this old man possibly teach him?
