Chapter 85 Strong Backer ?
Vanessa was in shock as she witnessed something she never expected to see. It wasn't the existence of werewolves or anything supernatural like that - she had known about her fiancé's secret a long time ago.
What had left her speechless was the person standing in front of her.
"He's even more handsome now, but that's definitely Vincent," she muttered to herself, holding back her emotions. Vincent had been missing for a long time, and she had even suspected that her fiancée had gotten rid of him. But who would have thought they would meet again like this?
"I'm so relieved to see that you're alive and well," she muttered with a deep sense of gratitude. His true identity as a vampire didn't seem to matter to her anymore; all she cared about was that he was safe and sound.
"But why is he pretending not to know me? Is he doing it to protect me?" She mused but remained quiet.
Fir's muscles were filled with tension as he stared down the man with the white fedora. The air was thick with the scent of blood and violence, and the sound of snarling werewolves filled the warehouse.
His instincts told him to attack, but he knew he couldn't take on the whole pack of werewolves alone. His mind raced, calculating his chances of survival.
After what seemed like an eternity, he finally relaxed his body and took a deep breath. He knew he had to make a choice, and quickly.
"Alright," he said, his voice calm and measured.
"Grrrrrrr" The werewolves snarled and growled, their yellow eyes still fixed on Fir, but their alpha signaled them to back down. They reluctantly shifted back to their human forms, their faces twisted with anger and hate.
Fir slowly turned around and began to walk towards the exit, his senses on high alert. He knew that he couldn't let his guard down until he was out of the warehouse and safely away from the pack.
As he made his way towards the door, he heard the sound of footsteps behind him. He turned around, ready to fight, but the werewolves only glared at him and let him pass.
Of course , he didn't waste any time. He quickly exited the warehouse and zoomed away, his mind racing with the close call. He knew that he had just made a powerful enemy, and that he would have to watch his back from now on.
Inside the Warehouse.
"Alonzo, what the hell? You let that bloodsucker slip through our fingers? We already surrounded him!" The second in command's voice dripped with disbelief and annoyance. He couldn't believe that their pack leader would let a killer just walk away like that. Alonzo's reputation was on the line and this could be a serious blow.
"Surrounded? You dumbass, you didn't even bother to check the perimeter. Try using that nose of yours for once," Alonzo barked, his voice dropping to a deadly tone.
The title of an alpha was more than just brute strength. It was about commanding respect and instilling fear. What Alonzo had done threatened to erode that.
The second in command gulped, suddenly feeling a cold sweat as he closed his eyes and focused his sense of smell. Werewolves had a keen sense of smell, but not all were created equal. Only Alonzo and his right-hand man had a sense of smell that could reach beyond the pack's immediate surroundings.
His eyes flew open, and his face contorted with fear. "Alonzo, we're surrounded. By at least 30 unknown individuals."

The moon hung high in the sky, casting a pale glow over the warehouse as the pack of werewolves waited inside. But they were not alone. The night was alive with the sounds of rustling breeze , as a group of vampires had surrounded the building.
The leader of the vampire group, a woman with raven black hair and piercing red eyes, watched intently as her minions reported to her.
"Mother, Evangeline said to retreat," one of the vampires said nervously.
The leader sighed, "I see. It's a shame we couldn't bury this bunch of rowdy beast," she said, shaking her head in disappointment. She knew the consequences of attacking the werewolves, but she couldn't resist the thrill of killing them.
As the group retreated, their red eyes remained fixated on the warehouse. They would meet again, and next time, they would not leave without a body to bury.

Evangeline POV
I stood in the middle of my mansion, my eyes locked onto my loyal henchman who was kneeling before me.
"Did you erase all of the tracks?" I asked in a stern voice.
I was referring to the tracks of my brother, Fir. I never expected him to awaken so soon, but it seems like the medallion has done its job. The medallion was created using the blood and essence of my sister, Elizabeth, and it gave Fir vampiric powers even though he wasn't a vampire himself.
I sat in my study, deep in thought as I contemplated the situation at hand. The medallion, a powerful artifact made from my sister's power, had awakened my brother's vampiric powers sooner than anticipated. While it was a relief that he had not fully transformed into his original werewolf form, I knew that his awakening could cause catastrophic events if left unchecked.
I couldn't let my brother's emotions lead him astray. I had seen the future and it was not pretty. I needed to prevent the disaster that loomed ahead, no matter the cost.
I sighed heavily, knowing that the fate of the world rested on my shoulders. My sister Elizabeth was missing, presumed dead after my brother's death in the holy war. She was the only one who could complete the medallion and unleash its full power. But I couldn't rely on her now.
No organization can discover my brother's true identity before he becomes strong enough to completely control his power.
I will eliminate everyone that will hinder him.
