Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 40 CH: 40

Vincent marveled at the incredible speed and agility he possessed as a werewolf. The wind whipped through his fur and he let out an exhilarated growl, feeling more alive than ever before. He was careful to adjust his pace so that Debbie could keep up with him, slowing down at times to allow her to cling tightly to his back.

He also couldn't help but feel a sense of awe of his speed as he followed the path that Debbie had laid out for them. According to her, the journey to her aunt's house would normally take two days on foot, but they were moving at an incredible pace. He estimated that they would arrive well before sunrise at the rate they were traveling.

It appeared that the journey ahead would be free from any obstacles or difficulties, given their fast pace and progress so far.

However, his heightened senses caught a faint sound trailing behind them, keeping pace with his own breakneck speed. A sense of unease crept over him, prompting him to scan the area for any sign of danger. However, he knew that running faster would put Debbie in harm's way, so he opted to find an open space and face their stalker head-on.

His werewolf instincts were kicking in, and he could feel the blood in his veins boiling for combat. Unfortunately, the transformation had clouded his judgement and made him more aggressive. He couldn't even think of asking Debbie for her opinion. He just knew they were being stalked by a powerful enemy, and his blood was etching for a brutal fight.

With a sudden jolt, he came to a stop in an open space, setting Debbie down gently. The look on his face was one of grim determination, and she knew that something was not right. Her heart was pounding with fear.

"Stay" his growl rumbles.

"What's going on?" Debbie asked, but Vincent was already gone before she could even process anything.

With his werewolf abilities at their peak, he easily reached speeds of 90 miles per hour. He soon caught a whiff of his pursuer's scent, but just as quickly, it began to slowly fade away.

"Is it running away ?" Vincent's growl rumbled deep in his chest as he watched their stalker in the distance. He couldn't help but wonder if his sudden burst of speed had caused the creature to doubt its chances of winning.

But it was too late. Vincent's superior speed and heightened senses had allowed him to close the distance, and before he knew it, the stalker was within his grasp.

"You really think you can run from me?" Vincent growled with a malicious grin, his eyes piercing through the darkness.

To his surprise, he discovered that the creature chasing them was not a werewolf, but something much bigger - a bear-like creature that was at least twice his size. But despite the creature's huge body, Vincent's instincts were telling him that he could take it down. No, he needed to take it down at all cost.

"I'm going to kill you " his eyes glinted with sofocating killing intent. His heart raced wildly as he anticipated the brutal battle that will soon unfold.

The forest around them blurred as he and the massive beast hurtled through the underbrush at a breakneck pace. The pounding of their feet on the ground was like thunder, echoing through the trees as they ran. Vincent's adrenaline surged, his werewolf form allowing him to keep up with the massive beast.

The chase was a wild and chaotic , with Vincent and the beast weaving in and out of the mountain, leaping over logs and boulders, and dodging the treacherous terrain. The forest around them seemed to come alive as they ran, the leaves rustling in the wind and the branches snapping under their weight.

As he ran, he finally spotted a huge tree in the distance and made a split-second decision. He leaped towards it, using it as a launching pad to propel himself above the massive creature.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Vincent hung suspended in the air. Below him, the massive beast continued its charge, its beady eyes fixed on him. And then, with a resounding thud, Vincent landed in front of the beast, his body poised for battle.

"Awooooooooo!" he roared, trying to intimidate the beast. But it only made the creature more aggressive, as it charged towards him with full force.

"This motherfucker ! " Vincent curse outloud, preparing himself for the impact as the beast barreled towards him.

But the beast did something unexpected, it rose up to its full height and lunged at Vincent with its massive claws. Vincent relied on his instincts and used his own claws to parry the attack. The resulting clash created a thunderous boom that shook the ground beneath their feet. Though Vincent was sent flying from the impact, the bear-like creature wasn't left unscathed. Vincent had managed to sneakily pierce its stomach with his claws.

As soon as Vincent regained his balance, he took off running once again, not wanting to give the beast any room to breathe. His super regeneration aid him in taking the damaged.

Vincent kept running, his adrenaline pumping as he realized this was a formidable opponent. His instinct allowed him to anticipate the creature's moves and react accordingly. Despite its massive size and strength, he was faster and more agile, dodging and weaving around the beast attacks.

But as the fight wore on, Vincent could feel the creature's endurance was stronger than his. Its thick fur protected it from his claws, and its massive muscles absorbed his blows. Vincent started to tire, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. Even his regeneration was slowing down.

The beast, on the other hand, showed no signs of fatigue. It kept coming at him, its roars shaking the ground beneath their feet. Vincent knew he had to end this quickly before he collapsed from exhaustion.

So, he decided to use a different tactic. Instead of attacking head-on, he circled around the creature and attacked from behind, clawing at its exposed back. The beast howled in pain, but it didn't stop. Vincent knew he had to do something more drastic.

With a sudden burst of energy, he launched himself at the creature, tackling it to the ground. He straddled its massive body, using all his strength to hold it down. He then used his fang to go for the kill, biting through its throat.

The beast thrashed and roared, but it was no use. Vincent's jaw strength was too much for it. Finally, it went limp, and Vincent collapsed on top of it, panting and covered in blood.

"That was intense," he muttered to himself, still in the throes of battle. He knew that the fight had taken a toll on him, but something inside him felt proud and mighty.

"I love this feeling !" his growl rumbles in pure ecstasy.
