Chapter 114 Mutated Creature
Vatican Supernatural Division Camp
The three major organizations had established their camps in strategic locations, with DSAS being the closest to the cave as the island was within US territory.
"Sister Angelie, I think we should retreat now. There is no reason for us to continue this mission," one of her assistants spoke up after discovering they were dealing with a mutated creature.
Angelie paused for a moment, considering their options.
"Don't worry, we won't take the risk of confronting it, but we should at least observe how the DSAS and the Ministry of Magic handle the situation," she replied. The information they had on them was outdated, and she wanted to assess their current capabilities.
"I understand, Sister Angelie," the man nodded in respect. Little did he know, Angelie had a different plan in mind. She had always been one to hold a grudge, and what Denise had done earlier was not something she would easily forgive.
"You best watch your back, bitch. You wouldn't want to find yourself in an unfortunate accident." her lips curled into a sinister smile as she muttered under her breath.

Ministry of Magica - Larry's Team
***
Ten wizards stood in a circle, their eyes closed in deep concentration as they prepared themselves for the impending battle. Each of them focused on their own state of mind, clearing it of any distractions or negative thoughts that could interfere with their spellcasting.
The air around them crackled with magic, as they chanted incantations under their breath and visualized the spells they would soon unleash. For wizards, their state of mind was crucial to their ability to cast spells, so they took this preparation seriously.
One of the wizards, a fat and tall man with a bushy beard, suddenly opened his eyes and let out a loud exhale. The others followed suit, slowly coming out of their meditative states and joining him in the physical world once more.
"Larry, this mission is crucial, and I advise you not to let your guard down. People from other organizations are as cunning as foxes. If they attempt anything malicious, we will be force to eliminate them," the man with a bushy beard spoke with a serious tone.
"I understand, Lagred. We need to be cautious and always stay alert." Larry nodded
"Good, now, about our special artifact that can seal the creature. We've received intel that other organizations are also after it." Lagred continued,
"Don't worry, I have made sure that our team is equipped to handle any situation that may arise," Larry assured him. "We'll do everything in our power to protect the artifact and ensure that we get that creature."
"Good," Lagred replied with a nod. "I trust your team to handle this mission with the utmost care and precision. "
As they continued to discuss their plans, a sense of urgency hung in the air. They knew that the other organizations were watching their every move, waiting for the right moment to strike. They would need to stay vigilant and prepared for whatever might come their way.

DSAS - Denise Team
***
eαglesnᴏνel The team led by Denise was the most imposing of them all. They had not one, not two, but three supernaturals in the A-Rank category, and an impressive 15 individuals in the B+ Ranks. On top of that, they boasted a group of 7 highly skilled hunters, and had brought along a sizable military force consisting of around 30 trained soldiers, armed with heavy machine guns and rocket launchers. It was clear that this team was following the classic American strategy of showcasing their strength through sheer firepower.
They need to show their overwhelming force, knowing that their greatest challenge wasn't just the mutated creature but also the presence of the other organizations lurking in the shadows. The satellite images had revealed a multitude of small-time organizations surrounding their camp, and it was evident that they were not all there for a friendly visit. They needed to remain vigilant and keep their wits about them if they were to emerge victorious.
"We have visual on the creature " The scout spoke from their earpiece, jolting everyone to thier senses.
Without hesitation, Denise gave the order for her team to prepare for battle.
"Stay alert and stay together," she commanded, her voice firm and unwavering.
Lyka, using her wind spell, had flew to the air to have better view of the ocean.
While the rest of the team quickly got into position, weapons at the ready, as the sound of the approaching waves grew louder and louder. And then, suddenly, the creature's head emerged from the water.
"Enferno, Lyka, do it!" Denise ordered.
"Roger," Enferno's hands began to glow as he focused his power, flames flickering to life around his fingers. As he concentrated harder, the flames grew larger and brighter, forming into a giant ball of fire. The intense heat radiating from the ball of flames was enough to make the air shimmer around it.
"Take it Lyka !" he throw the giant ball of flame to her.
Lyka cast her wind spell to control it, fanning it to make it even stronger and bigger mid air. The duo's combination was so smooth that even the onlookers on the beach couldn't help but feel a sense of fear as they watched the giant ball illuminated the whole sky.
Then she took a deep breath, her hair and clothes fluttering in the wind as she focused her powers. Enferno's flames were growing hotter and hotter, until she could no longer control it. Then, with a flick of her wrist, she sent the fireball soaring toward the creature, her magic guiding its path.
As the ball of fire hurtled toward its target, it grew in size and intensity, the flames was like a miniature sun ready to desinegrate anything . The sound of it was like a roar of thunder, filling the air with a deafening blast.
The creature, sensing the danger, thrashed and writhed in the water, but it was too late. The fireball slammed into it with the force of a meteor, exploding in a shower of sparks and flame that lit up the night sky.
Boooooooooom!
Boooooooooom!
Boooooooooom!
Silence fell over the beach as the evaporated water cleared, leaving only the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Everyone held their breath, waiting to see if the creature was truly defeated.
But Suddenly, the water began to churn, and without warning, the creature emerged, launching a barrage of sharp, crystal-like missiles at the team.
Booooom
Booooom
Booooom
Booooom
Booooom
"Take cover " Denise yelled as she tried to protect the camp with her own wind spell, but the velocity of the crystals were too strong .
As the crystal-like missiles hit the ground, they exploded with a force that shook the earth and sent debris flying in all directions. Everyone quickly realized that they were dealing with some kind of explosive, and Denise ordered her team to take cover behind large rocks and fallen trees.
Enferno conjured up a wall of flames to shield the team, while Lyka used her wind spell to deflect the missiles away from their position. The rest of the team fired their weapons at the creature, trying to weaken it before it could launch another attack.
"Wheeeeesh "The creature let out a terrifying whistle, and the water around it began to boil, as if it was calling forth some unknown power. Suddenly, the water beneath the creature exploded, sending a shockwave towards the team like a small tsunami.
They quickly braced themselves, but were pushed back by the force of the waves. Denise quickly flew up, surveying the area. The whole camp was destroyed by that one attack.
"That thing is not playing around," she muttered, eyeing the creature with anger "I have to go all out, or else."
