Chapter 61: Chapter 61 - Welcome to Your New Stay
Chapter 61: - Welcome to Your New Stay
Leon and Freya sat side by side on the luxurious leather seats of the upscale car. At first, Leon felt a bit awkward when the girl turned and faced him, clearly intending to start a
conversation. As he turned to her, he suddenly realized just how close they were. Her long, straight brown hair fell gracefully over her shoulder, and she smiled warmly as she began to speak.
"So... you must have read the details of the email and the contract, right?" she asked with a warm smile.
Leon had skimmed through the contract, though not in great detail. He understood that the EPSP program was offered for free to people like him, a privilege for those deemed elite and special in Immortal Legacy.
"I'm here to be your personal support," Freya explained, her voice soothing and reassuring.
"That sounds really helpful. I didn't know Golden Age Company did things like this before," he replied, trying to hide his eagerness but feeling thrilled about the prospect. "What kind of support do you offer?"
Freya chuckled, tucking a strand of her brown hair behind her ear. "Everything you need! Financial advice, personal guidance, even career counseling-I can help you with it all! But most importantly, this support will cover a lot of things that will make your life easier outside the game, and a bit inside the game as well."
Leon gazed at Freya with curiosity, eager to hear more. "Can you explain in more detail?" he asked.
Freya smiled at Leon. "The people who are chosen to become Divine Champions are destined for greatness," she declared. "That's why Golden Age Company ensures their every need is met, especially to guarantee their comfort so they can play the game better."
"You mean like a personal assistant?" he asked, intrigued.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Kind of..." She grinned mischievously and added, "I can be everything-manager, friend, adviser... anything you need to make your life easier so you can focus on playing the game without being disturbed by outside issues."
Leon nodded slowly, but Freya noticed that her explanation hadn't been detailed enough. "Don't worry, Leon... you don't need to think too hard about this. I'm here to help you. So, I'll explain everything to you gradually, okay?"
"Sure, thanks."
"If you're worried that something in your life will change because of my presence, actually, your life has already started changing. You're aware of that, aren't you?" she said.
Although initially Leon thought that he was the only one who knew he was the Divine Champion of Sloth, but it made sense that the developers would have that data as well.
"Yes, the Sloth Champion title has started to show me extraordinary things that even impact my real life outside the game," he replied.
Freya giggled. "That's what I mean. You won't be able to live like you did before you became a Divine Champion. Well... if you choose to give up the title, that's a different story, but something great is coming into your life. And to prepare you for all of this, that's why I'm here."
"That sounds like it's going to get into my personal life, huh?" he said with a smile.
"You don't mind a cheerful girl like me getting into your personal life a bit, do you?" she said, giggling.
"Actually, that's a bit of a problem for my quiet life," he said, grinning.
Freya couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry, you can still focus on your game and your physical training, and I'll handle the rest."
Leon turned to Freya, realizing that she seemed to know quite a bit about him. "Have you been watching me?"
Freya smiled and shook her head slightly. "Do you still believe we can live without being watched by anyone? At least we're watching you for good reasons. Although it does mean we're keeping an eye on your personal life, this is a policy of every government in the world regarding people like you who gain sudden popularity and status to ensure they don't end up in difficult situations."
Leon pondered her words, understanding the need for such measures but also feeling the weight of his new reality. "I see. Well, I guess that's something I'll have to get used to."
Freya nodded. "Exactly. But remember, I'm here to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. You're not alone in this."
Leon nodded slowly, trying to accept that his life would indeed change gradually from that day forward. He realized that this was unavoidable, just as Freya had said, unless he decided to relinquish the title, which he certainly had no intention of doing.
Freya smiled warmly and then grinned. "So, I also have a game account in Immortal Legacy," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "It's not very high in level, but I think it's enough to provide some support for you in the game for the time being."
"Oh... so you also play the game?"
Freya nodded. "Yes, and I think you'll be surprised by my level," she said, giggling. "No, it's not as high as the top rankers, but I think it's sufficient if you need my help with monster hunting or anything similar inside the game. And it'll definitely make things easier since you'll be spending most of your time in the game."
"Thank you, having someone who knows my secret will be a huge relief. It's nice to have someone who can cover for me in front of other players."
Freya clasped her hands together and gave him a warm smile. "I mean, that's just an extra thing I can offer you because my real job is to help you outside the game."
She shrugged lightly. "I can't do as much as you can - I'm just a normal player, after all - but there are plenty of ways I can assist you outside the game. I have access to lots of resources that could be useful for you!"
They exchanged casual conversations as the car made its way through the city center. The driver took them to a luxurious hotel, parking in an empty lot beneath a streetlight. Freya stepped out of the car and motioned for Leon to follow.
"Come on," she said with a smile. "I have something special for you."
Leon, feeling slightly apprehensive, climbed out of the car.
Freya winked and led him away from the car. "I told you that today would be a fun day, didn't I? And I wasn't kidding about that."
Leon furrowed his brow as they entered the lobby of the luxurious hotel. It was the first time he had ever set foot in such an opulent place. The lobby was grand, with marble floors that gleamed under the elegant chandeliers. Richly upholstered furniture was arranged in cozy seating areas, and the walls were adorned with exquisite artwork. The entire place exuded a sense of sophistication and grandeur that left Leon in awe.
"So, the Golden Age Company has prepared a lot of support for people like you," Freya explained. "I'm sure this is more than you expected, but I think you'll like it."
They entered the elevator and rode up to the highest floor. When they stopped in front of a grand mahogany door, Freya turned to Leon with a knowing smile. She opened the door and gestured for him to step inside. "Welcome to your new stay. I hope you enjoy it!"
