Chapter 562: Chapter 562 - Nature's Herald has Leveled Up

News of Princess Alora's expedition to confront the Moonlight Fae spread rapidly across the internet as Tora streamed the event live on his private channel. The broadcast captured a huge audience, as this was the first time many would witness Princess Alora leading such a large- scale battle.

"I can't wait to see Princess Alora in action!"

"This is going to be intense-especially with Broken, Ivana, Elincia, and the rest of the Ass Guild involved."

"I could watch Ivana fight all day."

"Livelywood's sword skills are impressive, too. He's such a promising talent-this is going to be epic."

"Go, Princess Alora! I love you!"

"Don't forget Princess Alora's Knight Grand Crosses, Lionell and Mercy-they're insanely strong, too!"

By midday, Princess Alora's entourage reached the small village where they would leave their carriages and continue on foot. The villagers had already gathered along the roadside, eagerly awaiting her arrival.

"Welcome, Princess Alora!" they called out.

The carriages came to a stop, and everyone disembarked, including Princess Alora, who greeted the villagers with a warm wave. She stepped closer to the crowd, allowing them to approach as Lionell and Mercy took up protective positions nearby.

"I'll be leaving my carriages here for a few days while I carry out a mission in the forest," she announced kindly.

They had a few minutes to rest and prepare, and Broken used this time to feed his Beasts. Stepping away from the others, he summoned Blaze, Pawpaw, and Polly.

"I want food... I'm hungry..." Pawpaw immediately started rolling around and mewling. "Haven't you eaten plenty already?" Broken sighed. "You need to watch your diet, Pawpaw- only eat monsters that will actually help your growth."

"I'm hungry!!" Pawpaw protested, bouncing around and occasionally leaping onto Polly, though by now Broken understood it was mostly just the kitten's way of playing.

Since the Moonlight Fae's attack on Deadbay City, Broken had gathered a good collection of Monster Soul Stones, most of them plant-type monsters.

"I see you're eyeing this, Gaia," he said, holding up a gleaming soul stone.

[Epic - Ironbark Treant Soul Stone Lv. 225]

"That looks delicious, Master. Give it to me," Gaia's voice echoed in his mind.

It was by far the best Monster Soul Stone Broken had obtained-Epic grade, nature-element, and a high level. Without further delay, he fed the soul stone to the ring, which absorbed it immediately.

He had fed Gaia several high-quality soul stones in the past, but he hoped this one would lead to a significant upgrade.

A vibrant green energy pulsed from the ring, confirming his suspicions.

[Queen Gaia - Nature Goddess Spirit has received a significant boost and is currently developing an upgrade.]

[Upgrade in progress-this process will take some time.]

"This upgrade couldn't have come at a better time," he muttered with satisfaction.

While waiting, he fed another Monster Soul Stone to Polly, holding off on giving any to Pawpaw since he knew the kitten had already eaten plenty from his own hunting sprees. "Broken, give me food... roar!"

"We'll be fighting plenty of monsters soon, so you can fill your stomach later."

"Oh, really? Is there good food there? I only want good food," Pawpaw insisted.

Broken patted the kitten's head with a chuckle. "Yes, there'll be high-level food waiting for you, so get your stomach ready, alright?"

"Roar... Pawpaw loves good food!" the kitten mewed, darting off to chase after Polly with renewed energy.

Polly didn't show any immediate upgrades-likely because she had recently unlocked the ability to fly.

"Master, I believe there's something we should discuss," Gaia talked to him.

[Please select a path for Gaia's upgrade:]

[1. Strengthen the Gaia Beast]

[2. Enhance Survivability]

[3. Increase Damage Output]

Broken paused, considering his options. "If I choose the first option, will it reduce the summoning cost for the Beast? Or... would it allow me to summon more beasts?"

"That path will likely lead toward a reduction in summoning costs," came the response. "I think that's the best choice. I'll go with the first option," he decided. "The Beasts are incredibly versatile and adapt well to different situations-but the summoning cost is just too high right now. Sure, the 200 Mana isn't huge, but having to cast it every 5 minutes is a hassle, especially since I can't just release the beast for autonomous hunting."

Broken selected a suitable Monster Soul Stone for Blaze. The blazing skeleton horse seemed pleased as he fed it a high-level, Elite-grade soul stone. Broken could see the flames surrounding Blaze grow more intense, flickering with newfound strength.

"Take it easy, Blaze. Keep leveling up steadily-you're doing well. We'll feed Flare, too,

later."

Just then, a notification appeared.

[Congratulations! Gaia has successfully received an upgrade.]

[Nature's Herald (Active Skill) has leveled up!]

[Nature's Herald (Active Skill) Lv. 2]

[Connected to Nature Conjuring, this skill lets the summoner call forth a single powerful creature from the same beast group, summoning them one at a time instead of all at once. Summoning a new creature will cancel the previous one.

Mana Cost: 500

Cooldown: 10 seconds]

Broken examined the upgrade details carefully, comparing it to the previous version.

The Mana Cost had risen from 200 to 500, but... the skill had no duration limit anymore? Oh, damn-this is seriously impressive.

The beasts previously lasted only 5 minutes, but with this upgrade, they could likely endure

much longer.

An exceptional upgrade, indeed. This was exactly what he needed.

[Epic-grade Sporeclaw Bear Lv. 220]

[Epic-grade Bloodblossom Serpent Lv. 218]

[Epic-grade Nightshade Wraith Lv. 221]

[Epic-grade Fungal Gargantuan Lv. 215]

[Epic-grade Thornmantis Lv. 205]

Broken still had five Epic-grade Monster Soul Stones saved up, and he planned to use them to enhance his equipment through Soul Engraving. His strategy was to prioritize stones with skills that could complement specific items, maximizing synergy.

However, he hadn't yet fully analyzed the potential skills from each type of monster or how well they might sync with his equipment. For that reason, he would proceed carefully, only committing to engraving once he had a clearer sense of each stone's optimal placement. But as it turned out, the team was already gathering and preparing to depart. Once all members of the attack force had completed their preparations, they gathered to listen closely to Princess Alora's final command.

"This mission is one of the utmost importance, filled with danger and peril," she announced. "We'll face monsters fierce enough to tear us apart and legions of wild Faebeasts lurking in the depths of the forest. Our goal is clear: to launch an attack on the Moonlight Fae stronghold, eliminate all resistance, and ensure every one of us returns home safely." Her words echoed in their minds, and the team held on to her every word.

"For this mission, the primary team will include myself, Baron Broken, Ivana, Kingsley, Melliandra, and Elincia. Lionell and Mercy will operate autonomously, adapting to any situation that arises. Additionally, we have the support of the Ass Guild, who will respond to the battlefield conditions as needed," she concluded.

With that, the expedition officially began.

None of them realized, however, that the Moonlight Fae had also been preparing for this

encounter.

"Release all of the Faebeasts," commanded Morel, the Fae Knight Commander. "Let them see

that we are not to be taken lightly."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
