Chapter 1161 Time Limit
Kyran's next spar partner was from the Forest Dragon Tribe. Their innate magic was called Nature magic, and it piqued Kyran's interest because it had similarities to Spirits' magic. The only difference was that the Spirits manipulated nature based on their core or their kind. In contrast, the Forest Dragon Tribe could manipulate anything connected to the Forest they came from.
An excellent example of the Spirits' magic was how White Lily's magic manifested as lilies because that was her core. She was a spirit born from an ancient Lily flower; thus, she could summon any form of lilies. The same was the case with Chrysanthemum, albeit she summons chrysanthemums.
The Forest Dragon Tribe's Nature magic was truly impressive in its versatility. Their range was comprehensive, allowing them to grow trees, flowers, and even riverbanks as long as these elements were available in the forest they were born in.
Despite the diverse attack patterns their magic offered, the Forest Dragon Tribe's power had a significant limitation. The effect and strength of their summoned magic would weaken the further they were from their territory, posing a challenge in battles that took them away from their forest.
For this reason, even if the dome was surrounded by forest, the Forest Dragon Tribe's talent, a young female dragon named Keita, could not fully display her tribe's magic.
Nevertheless, Kyran learned a lot about their magic. Or at least the concept of how she could create a path that allowed her to manifest the things available in the forest from which she came. It carried a similar idea to Space magic, where one could stretch or shorten the distance between two points.
However, rather than manipulating the distance, she created an invisible path to extend the influence of the forest where she lived so she could summon the elements it had and use them to attack.
Kyran found their magic concept helpful because it could allow him to use magic in locations that would typically restrict his usage. Before he could fully use their concept, he needed to consider other things, but the enlightenment was enough for him to start researching it.
Unlike the match against Ambros, Kyran and Keita's match went on without them suffering any injuries. Keita's magic transformed the arena into a mini lush forest, but Kyran's monstrous strength turned it into a wasteland.
Kyran's display of strength left the dragons with a mixture of awe and disbelief. They could not fathom how such a skinny body could produce such destructive strength. Judging from his weight, he should not have the capability to destroy the arena or even scratch a dragon's defenses. But he proved them wrong and even damaged the arena while he leveled the forest that Keita had created.
Like the first match, the matriarch of the Forest Dragon Tribe, Izadi, declared that the spar was a draw, ending it in just fifteen minutes.
The audience then started to see a pattern. It would appear that all dragon tribes would continue to stop each sparring match and announce that it was a draw because there was no clear victor between the two, even if the match continued for hours.
Eissen also realized this and formally declared that starting from the next match, a draw would be declared if a winner was not determined after fifteen minutes.
All tribes agreed to the new rule. Even Aillos gave his silent consent.
Kyran also agreed to it because he confirmed that fifteen minutes was his limit in Draconic— aka Chaos magic.
The break was also reduced because each match was given a time limit. A ten-minute break would be given only if the arena was wrecked. But if not, it would only last five minutes.
Cyneah was initially glad that each match would now last only fifteen minutes. However, the reduced break time displeased her. Unfortunately, she, like Kyran, had no say about the change since even if the arena was destroyed, the dragons could fix it in three minutes. If each break would still last for ten minutes, the audience would get bored.
Moreover, everyone wanted to see as many matches per day as possible, so reducing the break time was reasonable.
In the end, Cyneah settled on the idea that the faster the spar matches finished, the earlier Kyran could return and rest.
Kyran continued to spar against the other dragon tribes and learned more about their magic concepts. The more he learned, the more he realized that his Draconic and Void magic was quite compatible. He initially believed that the nature of the two Ancient magics was opposite each other, which was why he was hesitant to combine them and create new magic.
But now that he knew they were compatible, it made sense how he managed to combine the two when he first created the Void Scales.
Besides the Void Scales, Kyran would only perform a pseudo-combination of the two— like the Void Armor or Void Needles. It was only a pseudo-combination because those magic were not created while circulating the two magic energies together. It was either the Void first and then the Draconic afterward or vice versa.
Now that Kyran knew he could combine them without worrying about any negative repercussions, he could not wait to enhance the first few original magic moves he created.
The last dragon tribe Kyran was matched with was a young talent from the Venom Dragon Tribe.
As soon as the two participants appeared in the arena, the audience, who had started to appreciate Kyran's ability and endurance, immediately tensed.
It should be noted that even if the Dragon Clan was considered morally good compared to the other clans in the Higher Realm, internal differences remained among them.
One good example was how the Hydra Dragon Tribe and the Naga Dragon Tribe clashed because they had a conflict of interest.
Another more infamous among their clan was the somewhat twisted concept that the Venom Dragon Tribe had.
To be honest, there were quite several tribes that felt uncomfortable working with them because of their Poison magic. The only reason they were still tolerant was because even if they mostly created poison, it was also true that the medicines they produced were very effective. Apart from that, the Venom Dragon Tribe was very loyal to the Sky Dragon Tribe.
If not, they would have likely gone rampant among the dragons, causing harm to other tribes with their poisonous abilities.
To be honest, their loyalty to the Sky Dragon Tribe could be seen as a double-edged sword. This was because they were quite determined to eradicate anything or anyone that could pose a threat to them. Of course, they would only act unless Aillos agreed. Nonetheless, that did not stop them from trying to feel out any danger to the clan that lurked around them.
Like Kyran and his family.
The Venom Dragon Tribe's elders feared that Kyran and his family might start to influence the other dragons, and copulation between dragons and humans might become natural.
If that happened, the future of the tribes and the clan would be jeopardized. They were already in trouble because Aillos could not appoint his heir since Ames's descendants were lacking— being humans.
What if the other tribes ended up in a similar position? What would happen to their clan if their leader became a mix-breed between a human and a dragon that could not even turn into a dragon?
They were called the Dragon Clan for a reason. Their next leader should also be a strong dragon like Aillos.
Alas, none knew that Kyran and his family had no intentions of getting entangled with the Dragon Clan's future leadership. Kyran wanted to create his own force, and thus, he and the Dragon Clan would become allies.
Since all of this would only be revealed on the final day of the Grand Gathering, when Aillos, the patriarchs, and their second-in-command had their close-door meeting, Kyran, and his family could only endure the wrong impression of those tribes that were still opposed to their becoming part of the clan.
"This will be the last match of the day," Eissen announced as he looked at the two participants in the arena.
The Venom Dragon Tribe's talent was a young dragon in human form with short silver hair and bright green eyes. From this, no one would think that Poison was his innate magic. Only if one looked closely at his scales could they find a purplish-green tint around them, reminiscent of a dragon with poison attributes.
In any case, the young talent's scales were hard to see because they were smartly hidden under their green uniform.

"Like the other matches, if there is no clear victor in fifteen minutes, the match will be declared a draw," Eissen continued.
Kyran furtively glanced toward Eissen's direction. He found it strange that he reminded them of the time limit when he never announced it again after the first one. Moreover, the match started almost immediately because Eissen would declare the start of the match as soon as they appeared.
Why was Eissen repeating those things? Was it because it was the last match?n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
No.
Eissen was definitely delaying the start of the match.
Why?
That was something Kyran had to find out.
Kyran turned his attention toward the Venom Dragon Tribe's talent, who was amicably smiling at him. There was nothing strange about the latter. Even his smile appeared genuine. However, that was only how one would see on the surface.
Kyran narrowed his eyes as he finally noticed the faint scent swirling around the Venom Dragon Tribe's talent.
