Chapter 118 - Good News
Noah sighed as he watched the two laugh as if they were not facing any great problems right then.
"Look at these two, laughing like that," Noah said with a creased forehead
Luo's eyes darted towards her husband and she scoffed, "What do you want us to do, cry our hearts out? Let Gavin chill out and laugh a little at his twisted destiny. Besides, I'm confident. I will discuss these matters with Keira myself. I will ask for her Field Marshall husband's help if she is willing."
Luo had become close to Keira as her sister Lana was almost like a sister to Keira. She looked at Gavin and said, "You're so lucky, Your Highness. You have many connections in this country. You may be a part of the Royal Family but you and your Father's movements are restricted so as not to put the whole Royal Family in danger or tarnish your name since you guys represent the whole state of country B.
One wrong move from the Royal Family and all of you would be condemned by your citizens. Let us take care of all the dirty work from here and we will make sure that this case is closed as soon as possible."
"And I'm really grateful to have you guys around me," Gavin said with a wink and he honestly meant that. It is true that the movements of all members of the Royal Family are limited.
"You are now part of our family Gavin, so we are all in this together," Luo winked. She looked at her husband who was sitting beside her and sighed. Noah looked serious and in deep thought, so to lighten the atmosphere, Luo looked at Brione and said, "By the way, I have great news."
"Really? What is it?" Brione asked curiously.
"Well, Calvin will have a playmate soon," Luo said bashfully while caressing her tummy.
"Oh my God! Congratulations you guys! Another baby! Oh wow! This is such wonderful news and I am really happy for you guys!" Brione gasped excitedly. She loved her nephew Calvin and just thinking of another baby made her really excited.
"We have some good news of our own!" Gavin interrupted the celebration while holding Brionne's hand firmly. The two of them had agreed to disclose their news to Noah and Luo once they arrived at the penthouse but he felt this was as good a timing as any to do it.
"Huh? What?" Noah asked, keenly staring at Gavin with his questioning eyes.
"Brione and I signed our marriage contract and I got it registered in our country using my real identity of Gavin Wilhelm," Gavin announced with a smile that reached his ears.
Brione's face reddened, while Luo immediately pounced at her as they were sitting facing each other.
"Congratulations!!!" Luo beamed and let go of Brione instantly before her husband scolded her to get back in her seat.
"This is very sudden, but because you're Gavin, the man whom I trust the most, then I am glad. I am very happy knowing that my only sister is in good hands. We should celebrate and plan a family bonding time." Noah suggested with a half-smile.
"Oh, I will take care of the planning," Luo uttered excitedly.
"Ah, I guess, my baby will soon have more playmates as Aunt Brione is now married. Could it be that she will also get pregnant soon?" Luo teased, making Brione's face blush hard.
"You two should have a proper wedding ceremony once everything is settled. I would love to meet your family, Gavin, but I know that now is not a good time for that. So please let your family know that we understand everything. Let's solve the more pressing matters affecting your life first," Noah commented.
"How about being married? Do you plan to announce it too?" Luo asked the two.
Noah interrupted by suggesting, "I don't think it's a good idea right now. You two could just say you are engaged but don't mention anything about your marriage." In truth, he was worried for his sister's safety ever since she got involved with Gavin. And Gavin's situation right now was not ideal especially with the danger lurking around him and his family.
Gavin seemed to read his expression and said, "I understand, Noah. I will do everything I can to keep Brione away from any danger."
"We are all on it -- we can't afford to have either of you in danger," Noah answered firmly. He was going to do everything in his power to protect and keep his family intact. And now Gavin was a part of their family as he had hoped from the moment Gavin confessed his feelings for Brione.

Meanwhile, Keira and Damiel arrived first at Gavin's penthouse and Damiel arranged a small welcome party for his son. He kept pacing while waiting for Gavin and the others to arrive.
"Uncle, please come and sit here. They will soon be here. Please try to relax and stop pacing," Keira commented and pulled Uncle Damiel to the couch with her. She was glad he was more composed now because a little while ago, he was sobbing in the car. She fully understood that his tears were tears of joy because his son had come back alive.
"It's really him, Keira. My son is back. I felt his warmth but he doesn't remember me," Daniel whispered. Keira could feel how heartbreaking it must be for him as a Father, for his son not to recall any memories of them together. She too had missed Gavin because he was like a brother to her. Gavin always confided in her about the matter of his heart. And she was grateful to see him succeed and be with the woman he longed and loved.
"I'm sure he will remember you soon, Uncle. Right now he is still adjusting, so we have to be patient with him," Keira encouraged and patted Uncle Damiel on his back to comfort him.
