Chapter 105 - Play Tourist
After eating, Brione and Cedric did not waste time as she too had received a call from Mitch to return to country D.
Will arranged for Brione and Olivia to meet at a common boutique, where Brione was planning to shop for some presents to bring back to her family and friends. The set-up was to coincidentally run into each other while shopping.
Olivia greeted her first, "Brione?!"
Brione looked at her with a wide smile on her face and quickly hugged Olivia as she burst out loudly, "Olivia! It's been a while!"
The plan was for Olivia to accompany her with the shopping before they went to a predetermined restaurant to have some lunch. Their table was located at some distance from the others so they could talk freely.
"Do you have some news about Cedric's motor skills and birthmarks?" Olivia asked curiously. Will had informed her that Brione had some important news to deliver, so she was expecting updates about Cedric's motor skills.
"Yeah, I couldn't tell you anything over the phone as I thought it would be better to tell you everything in detail in person. I also wanted to give you some news about Gavin…" Brione stated with a smile. Olivia's eyes widened when she heard Brione use the name Gavin instead of Cedric.
"Yes, it's been confirmed that the man I am with now is Gavin. Gavin and Cedric are identical twin brothers. Right now, the King and Gavin are facilitating a special elite task force to investigate both Cedric and Oliver confidentially.
Oh my God, control your tears, Olivia, please. We are not sure if you are being followed, so you need to keep smiling, please.," Brione reminded Olivia, who started to smile while trying to control the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes.
"I'm so happy for you. I am glad to know that Cedric did not have a change at heart. But I am worried about Cedric. What if…" Olivia could not finish the thought.
"Don't lose hope, Olivia. I didn't lose hope that Gavin is alive somewhere. I'm sure Cedric is too. He's around somewhere. We just need to find him and bring him home." Brione consoled Olivia with a smile.
She had once been in the same place where Olivia was now. The thought of losing someone you love is very painful, especially when you have regrets for not doing things with them while they were still around.
She held Olivia's hand on the table and gently squeezed it.
"I'm sure he is alive. Keep praying for his safe return so you two may be united soon. His father and twin brother are doing everything they can to find him," Brione whispered and Olivia nodded with a smile.
Brione grabbed something from her purse and handed it over to Olivia.
"What is this?" Olivia asked.
"Open it," Brione whispered shyly.
It was a notebook and a pen.
"It's a simple present that I thought to give you. You can write anything in there, things you wanted to say to Cedric while he was gone, like how much you miss him every single day or about your dreams with him." Brione teased with a smile, making Olivia blush hard.
"You're too sweet, Brione. Thank you for this. I hope we can keep in touch even when you and Ced… I mean Gavin, return to country D," Olivia whispered.
"Of course. I am pretty sure we will see each other often, Olivia." Brione commented with a wink.
The two of them talked some more. Little did they know that one of the restaurant's diners was sneaking glances in their direction. And when the two of them went their separate ways, the man continued to follow Olivia Philips.
Brione heaved a sigh as she climbed inside the car, where Gavin was waiting for her. The windows were heavily tinted so no one could see inside. Gavin instructed the driver to start the car.
"I feel bad for Olivia," Brione whispered with a sigh.
"Hmm, I can tell that she's a strong woman like you, so she will overcome this," Gavin commented. Brione agreed with him and whispered, "Yeah, I too? feel that she's a strong woman."
They had to go in different directions to make sure they were not followed.
"All clear, Your Highness. We're not being followed." Kevin, who was in the passenger seat, reported.
"Alright, drive directly to the Theme Parks," Gavin instructed. He handed Brione a shawl and a pair of shades and said, "Wear this so no one will recognize you. Let's go on a date before returning home."
Brione, excitedly, put on the shawl to cover her head and neck and put on the eyeglass. Gavin put on a cap and a shade.
"Let's go play tourist," Gavin whispered in her ear as they got out of the car. He wanted to show her some must-see attractions while she was in country B.
They first went to one of the famous theme parks. Gavin held her hand with their fingers intertwined together. Brione felt elated to go on a date with Gavin.
"What ride do you wanna try first, huh?" Gavin asked once they entered the park.
"You hated doing this kind of stuff before. Whenever I asked you to go, you complained that it is for kids," Brione commented.
"Well, that's true but I read in my diary that I regretted not taking you to amusement parks as you wanted to. The reason is…"
"You're afraid of the rides and you don't want to look like a coward in front of me!!!" Brione teased and Gavin's face reddened with embarrassment.
"So tell me, Darling, how about we try that ride first?" Brione commented, pointing to the speeding train on a peak going upside down.
Gavin gulped, suddenly regretting that he brought Brione here, but Will had been certain that this was the best place for all ages, that it was a magnificent pleasure garden from inside.
Brione laughed seeing his face turn pale just by looking at the ride she was pointing out. She hugged his arm and pulled him to a slow ride that he would enjoy.
"I'm just kidding, Darling. I will, of course, choose a ride that you too will enjoy. I will avoid all extreme rides because they are not at all exciting without you by my side. Let's just enjoy some slow and light rides together." Brione commented with a smile.
"No wonder, I love you so much," Gavin whispered in her ear and gave her a peck, making Brione blush hard.
