Journey Towards Greatness

Julian walks out of the laboratory with many questions regarding things he has heard till now.

He doesn't know who to trust.

Lily said that she was working with the league, but Julian was never informed of this by them. It is not something they will hide from him because Cynthia is his fiance.

Even if the authorities didn't directly contact him, Cynthia would have said something.

So the first thing Julian does is call her and fact-check what Lily said.

He hears to call tune on his phone and it is immediately picked up by Cynthia from the other side.

Julian "Hello baby, how are you doing?"

He asks.

Cynthia "I am doing great, now that I heard your voice,"

Julian "What about Chloe and Daisy? How are they?"

Cynthia "They are doing great as well, but they miss you. We all miss you,"

Cynthia says as they have not met each other for months.

Julian was busy in Alola, and now he directly came to Orre to deal with Cipher. He has not given his fiances his time, which makes him feel a little guilty.

He could always abandon everything and go meet them but he feels that the business he has here in Orre is much more important right now.

Julian "Don't worry, as soon as I am done here in Orre, I am going to spend all my time with you three."

Cynthia "Promise?"

Julian "You know I always stay true to my words. I promise,"

Julian promises.

Cynthia "Good... So why did you call? It isn't just to talk to me, right?"

She asks.

Julian "Why? Can't I just call to hear your voice?"

He asks smiling.

Cynthia "I know you. You prefer video calls. So it must be pretty urgent there for you to just do a voice call,"

She says.

Julian "You got me. I called because I wanted to ask you about something."

Julian says.

Cynthia "What is it?"

She asks.

Julian "Didn't you say that the league has no one working for them here in Orre, right?"

Cynthia "Ya, why do you ask?"

Julian "Well I just met this woman named Lily. She works for Professor Krane and she is claiming that she is working with someone from the League,"

Cynthia "What? I don't know anything about this,"

Julian "Are you sure? The league wouldn't send someone to scout the region before telling you, right?"

He asks.

Cynthia "No, they wouldn't. I am informed about every major decision that the league takes. Especially if they are planning to expand their influence in other regions."

Julian "So who is this person that is claiming to be from the league?"

Julian asks.

Cynthia "I don't know. Let me get back to you after asking around. Love you,"

Julian "Love you too,"

The call ends leaving Julian wondering. For now, he decides to wait for Cynthia to get back to him as he makes his way to Mt. Battle.

He opens the map application on his phone and starts studying the route he needs to take to get there.

Julian 'Looks like I will have to go through Agate village to reach Mt. Battle'

He thinks to himself after looking at the Map.

Wanting to know more about the village, he looks it up on the internet.

Agate village is situated on a mountain path making the terrain very hard to walk on, but to Julian's surprise, the majority of the people living in the village are old people.

Julian "Ho, these old people must have some pretty strong bones for them to live up there,"

Julian says as he reads about the village.

Agate village is small but a massive forest surrounds it, so finding it might be hard for people who have never been there before.

Now that Julian has a rough idea about the village, he sets off.

Though the Orre region is small, getting there will take him some time. He could, of course, use Charizard to ride, but he wants to experience the new region on land.

To join the road that will lead him to Mt. Battle, Julian enters Gateon City once again.

Riding by the ocean always feels great as the cold wind brush against his face.

Julian drives down the port, following the road, when he notices something.

He slows down his motorcycle as he sees Michael and Jovi being confronted by a very large man.

Julian frowns and approaches the two.

Julian "What's going on here?"

He asks grabbing Michael and Jovi's attention along with the big bulky man.

"Who the fuck are you?"

The big burly man asks with his rough voice.

Julian looks at the man and is surprised by how big he really is. The man is at least seven feet tall and should easily weigh around 250 kg.

The man is clearly abusing some serious steroids to get so big.

What Julian doesn't understand is why is this steroid junky trying to pick a fight with children.

Jovi "Mr. Strong trainer!"

Jovi exclaims excitedly seeing Julian. She remembers him just like how her mother described him to her. A very strong Pokemon trainer.

Michael "It's Mr. Julian,"

He corrects his little sister, but she seems to heed to mind to her brother's words.

Ignoring the big burly man, Julian looks at Jovi and speaks to her.

Julian "What's going on here?"

He asks.

Jovi "This gorilla-like man is trying to bully us for no reason,"

Jovi complains while flailing her finger at the big guy.

"Huh? You little brat. What did you say?!!!"

The burly man gets angry at Jovi's comment and approaches her, ready to swing his arm at the little girl.
