Chapter 419: Amon, that is my Name
SHING! SHING!
The blonde-haired girl saw a sword flash for her stomach, prompting her to backflip out of the way and whip her silky hair around in elegant fashion. After which, she changed stances to something more versatile and lunged forward. "I, on the other hand, believed that Anna was just waiting for the right guy," she said as she flared the ice element on the edges of her blade. "Maybe this guy is the guy she's been unknowingly searching for… Or maybe not…"
SHING! SHING!
As the girl's blades collided and sent sparks flying, the topic lingered on their minds. No longer able to focus on the fight, they decided to conclude the battle and leave the arena, instead making their way over to where they last heard Annabelle was going. A playful glint emerged in both their gazes as they wished to tease their friend about this unknown mystery man.
After a few minutes of strolling, they arrived at the Registry Building for any who wished to sign up for an Academy Event. It was a large two-story pagoda-style building that had a width of thousands of meters, along with a height of dozens of meters. Explore more stories at m,v l'-NovelBin
The doors to this place were always left open, as students would constantly enter and exit the building, just like now. However, rather than a typical day, just about everyone was staring at the gorgeous pair of voluptuous girls that had just passed through the Registry Building's doors. Both of them were shorter, being around 5'6, but when it was these two, no matter what height they were, they would be noticeable from miles away.
As they entered the Registry Building, they immediately noticed a unique pair standing in front of a counter, with the shorter individual occasionally turning to the other with a grievous expression. Realizing right away who they were, Zara, the Headmaster's daughter, and Nova, the Immortal Lord's daughter, approached them. On their faces were mischievous smirks as they made sure to conceal their presences.
However, before they could sneak up and surprise the dynamic pair, a cold glare shot around and honed in on them. A little frightened, they backed up and accidentally tripped, causing them to stumble onto the ground. Bang! A few objects were knocked over as they rubbed their heads and winced in feigned pain, only to realize that two pairs of eyes were staring right at them.
"Oh…" Zara averted her gaze, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. The same thing happened to Nova as they both found it impossible to return the accusatory glares they were receiving. A hush hung in the air for a few moments, so they assumed they were in the clear, but when they turned around, they were suddenly clasped on the shoulders by a purple-haired beauty with her entire face shrouded in shadows. Looking at her 'friendly' expression made them seriously regret ever coming to mess with their friend.
"Listen—" Zara tried to say, but was interrupted by Anna's crisp voice, saying:
"There is no need to explain yourselves; I know exactly what you two are doing here."
"You do?" Zara and Nova raised their brows in confusion, to which Anna grinned what looked to be an evil manner to them. However, contrary to what they thought, she said, "I know that you two are here to sign up for the Duo Tournament! Isn't that right!?" She helped them up off the ground and hugged them. "I am kinda vexed that you guys didn't tell me beforehand, considering that we originally all agreed against it, but it's completely fine! I know you were just trying not to hurt my feelings!"
"???" "???"
Zara and Nova had no idea what she was rambling on about, but as long as she wasn't mad, then everything was good? Either way, though, they now had to sign up for the Duo Tournament if they wished to fully escape embarrassment. Sighing, they escaped the passionate hug, then Zara said, "This Duo Tournament… when is it?"
Anna tilted her head in confusion. "You two came to sign up, but you don't even know that much? Well, that is just like you two now that I think about it," she nodded in understanding. "Anyway, sign-up ends today, and the Tournament is set to begin tomorrow morning."
"Tomorrow morning?" Zara and Nova exclaimed in unison. 'We were supposed to have that tea party at Princess Lexi's house tomorrow, but now…'
They sighed and resigned themselves to their fates. Anna, on the other hand, looked at them with a perplexed gleam in her eyes. "Well, anyway, I meant to do this later, but this man here is a…" Her mind blanked for a moment, as she didn't exactly know what he was to her. She wound up just keeping quiet, but when she saw the cheeky smirks on her friends' faces, she puffed out her cheeks and said, "He's a very good friend! Yes!" All while holding onto his arm. Though, when she realized her ample breasts were pressing up against him, she backed away as her face flushed red.
Seeing this, Zara and Nova took back what they thought earlier. This prank was well worth it. However, what they were now interested in was the crimson-haired man who had kept silent this entire time. Looking him up and down, they thought, 'He's handsome — that much is undeniable. But his aura is pretty basic, and he doesn't seem very strong… Is this what Anna is into?'
The more they analyzed his existence, the more puzzled they became. Yet, when they recalled that look he gave them earlier, their confusion only grew instead of lessened. Looking at him once more, they saw his piercing gaze focused right on them, seemingly understanding everything about them with a single glance.
"You…" They struggled to find their words, mostly because they didn't know what exactly they should say. Ultimately, they sighed and said, "It's very nice to make your acquaintance, Mr…"
"Amon," answered Azmodeus. "That is my name."
