Chapter 121: The Ultimate Skill: Sierra's Last Stand
~PUNCH~
"-49372!" another [Servant of Sierra] vanished.
"Haha~ you try to act as if you're righteous," Sierra's smile did falter for a second, but she kept her composure as she summoned back her bow in hand, it was floating right behind her.
~PUNCH, PUNCH~
"-51938! -50281!"
"You think you're some hero of justice, don't you?" she continued.
~PUNCH, PUNCH~
"And yet… I can see in your expression that you never cared to begin with!" she pointed her bow at him, "Now all I need is for you to get hit once, then it's game over!"
~PUNCH~
Stark punched the final [Servant of Sierra], making it vanish into thin air as it could finally rest, then he looked up at Sierra, a vortex of aura in his eyes.
"Stop talking so much, my god," he groaned as he kept walking toward the archer.
'Clone Frenzy,' he summoned his clone beside it, and it began to walk beside its owner, the same expression on its face.
"DOUBLE ASSAULT," his clone suddenly activated the legendary skill, and dashed toward Sierra, with zero intention to let her rest.
"I ALREADY KNOW OF YOUR TRICKS NOW!" Sierra shouted as she created three arrows and pulled the string of her bow while all three were in hand.
"Invincible Dodge," the clone calmly avoided the first three, but was forced to use his skill on the third as it was much faster.
[Archer's Focus] adapts to the opponent over time, and so that meant that Sierra at some point would be able to predict even the overly fast Stark.
That is… if he gave her that time.
Since when created five arrows this time, ready to point her at the clone.
"HEAVEN'S WRATH," the clone didn't let it get away with that.
And so right as it was cornered by the arrows, trying its hardest to escape, it was still hit by one of them, transforming its figure into one of those horrifying servants.
'Come back…' Stark didn't want to let his clone suffer so he called it back instantly.
"You won't be able to do that anymore, no more clones, no more stat boosts," Sierra laughed.
But she had failed to notice one simple thing: the small crimson light in the ceiling that was growing more and more.
[Heaven's Wrath] had successfully activated, and Sierra's arrogance didn't allow her to notice it as she thought that the clone was just trying to survive.
Five seconds later… she sensed the aura and looked up.
But it was already too late at this point.
~FWISHHH~ the beam had charged up, and… ~BOOM~
As if descending from the heavens to purge the monster, the giant crimson beam of aura fell perfectly on Sierra, who immediately attempted to get away from the radius of the attack.
After all, even her [Archer's Focus] skill had warned her that surviving this wouldn't be possible.
~BAM, BAM, BAM!~
She was hit three times by the attack while trying to get away.
"-29382! -24827! -25045!"
Her [Crystal Armor] was now almost completely destroyed, cracks visible on every part of it as it only had 100K HP to protect its wearer, and the moment these HPs run out, then Sierra would be defenseless again.
In the meantime, seeing that Sierra was occupied, Stark activated [Spatial Inventory] and pulled out two [Potions of Regeneration] as he had lost some HP during the battle.
But the moment he opened them both using his fingers and got ready to gulp them down…
~FWISH, FWISH~
Sierra sent two arrows, and this time they weren't even aimed at him, but the potion themselves, as the glasses exploded upon impact and all the liquid fell to the floor.
"…" Stark wasn't surprised, of course it wouldn't be easy to heal yourself during a battle.
"…" for the first time since the battle started, Sierra didn't say anything either, instead she just got up, a neutral expression on her face as well, a far cry from the constant smiles and grins she had before.
This surprised Stark, but then he sensed something terrifying.
[WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!]
It seemed like [Focus] detected it as well as dozens of panels appeared around him.
And when he looked up… he saw a small smile on Sierra's face as she lifted both of her arms up, her bow floating between them like she had just acquired it inside a chest.
"SIERRA'S FINAL STAND," her final skill had finally charged up, and so the bow between her hands began to spin at the speed of light, creating a vortex of blue aura, sending shockwaves throughout the cave.
~BIM, BIM, BIM~
He began to hear noise around him.
~BIM, BIM, BIM~
Trails of white aura escaped the bow, and placed themselves all over the cave.
~BIM, BIM, BIM~
Upon further inspection, Stark noticed that… those trails of auras were actually [Arrows of Sierra].
And every 'BIM' he heard was basically the warning that an additional was added.
This honestly wouldn't be scary under normal circumstances, but the problem was… that he heard hundreds upon hundreds of BIM's.
And just as expected, now, all over the walls of the cave, surrounding Stark and Sierra, were hundreds, if not thousands of arrows.
'Huh…?' Stark was confused, after all… this seemed impossible to dodge.
And as if she read his mind… Sierra answered, her malicious grin back.
"Because it's not possible to dodge it!" she laughed.
'…'
[This is an 'unavoidable attack']
If a single one of these arrows was able to kill him, then… wasn't he fucked with this sheer amount?
[Invincible Dodge] wouldn't help since there are too many of them, and there is no way he could avoid them all, it was completely different from the [All-Area Strike] of the Mirror Master…
And so just like that, Stark was at the mercy of the 'Crystal Archer'.
"Phew~ almost thought it would never finish powering up, but thank 'Godless Demon' I was able to do it!"
"AURA SMASH, CRIMSON SPEARS!" he tried to send his attacks at her, hoping it would eliminate her as her bow was still floating, but…
A dozen arrows pointed toward the attacks and flew to block them, meaning that Stark now had nothing to attack from long-range anymore.
Except for [Heaven's Wrath] that is, but he knew that Sierra would send all the arrows if she saw him do something suspicious.
In the end… there was no solution to this problem, he was fucked.
And it made him angry, more angry than even back at the surface, the crimson aura around his body flowing like waves and surrounding his entire figure, as some sort of shield.
'…'
"Well, GOODBYE!" Sierra laughed as she pulled her hands down, and all the arrows suddenly flew toward Stark.
[Death incoming!]
'…'
But Stark refused.
