I Killed The Main Characters

Chapter 6: Second Evaluation [3]

"By the way young master you're looking stunning as ever," Alice complimented as they went down the spiral stairs.

"Haha...only cause you picked them for me," Noah said smiling nervously finding the situation awkward.

'Just keep quiet...'

Noah noticed his parents.

For the past 3 days, he avoided being in the same room as them.

He didn't want to draw attention that he was a 23 year old deadbeat in their son's body.

That's why he always came up with excuses, atleast until all of the original Noah's memories resurfaced.

"Amon Ashbourne, a few of the influential people atleast when it comes to the western continent alone, he isn't of noble blood but his power and wealth put him on the Counts House position."

"Most influential houses were as follows from most powerful to least, The Royal family, Prestigious Families and the Count Houses."

"Then after that there are the civilians and residents or also known as Commoners."

Amon Ashbourne had black silky short hair, a beard that was growing in and a muscular build. Yellow eyes that explained how Noah got them.

"His wife and the mother to this body, Margaret Ashbourne, apart from looking pretty every chance she gets, she surprisingly owns a business..."

Margaret Ashbourne had blonde hair.

Blue eyes, curvature body in the right places.

Her appearance only spoke of unparalleled beauty.

'So that's where Noah got these lashes from...'

Noah thought.

Noah thought all of this getting to know almost entirely everything about this body and those around.

"Moreso, the reason I decided to stay is, unlike other powerful families....

These two love Noah more than anything."

"There's my sweet baby."

Margaret said while approaching Noah, her hands wide open and then hugging him.

"Ow, mom not so hard."

Noah called out from between the breasts peering up to find a better angle of breathing.

"Okay Margaret, stop hogging the boy."

Margaret let go but put one arm was around her son as they both walked to the sitting area.

There Noah saw them.

The lower priests of the 3 churches.

Each exuding their own energies but all looked similar in a way.

They stood with a calm, confident air, their robes flowing around them in the gentle breeze.

Despite their medieval priestly attire, there was something distinctly modern about them, a subtle blend of old and new that Noah couldn't quite place.

The first man, Father Eldric, wore robes of deep crimson adorned with intricate patterns of silver thread.

A thick, well-groomed beard framed his stern face, and his eyes held a piercing intensity.

Embroidered on the front of his robe was the symbol of the Church of the God of Sword—a gleaming sword crossed with a shield, representing strength and protection.

His presence was commanding, as if he could cut through any obstacle with a single glance.

Beside him stood Father Aric, whose robes were a vibrant shade of blue, reminiscent of the sky at dusk.

His beard was neatly trimmed, and his expression was one of serene wisdom.

On his chest was the emblem of the Church of the Elemental God—a swirling vortex of wind, fire, earth, and water, symbolizing harmony with the elements.

His aura was one of calm power, as if he could summon the forces of nature with a mere thought.

The third priest, Father Tobin, wore robes of dark green, interwoven with golden threads that caught the sunlight.

His beard was long and bushy, giving him a rugged, yet approachable appearance. The insignia of the Church of the God of Technique adorned his attire—a clenched fist with a spiralling dragon around it.

He exuded an air of creative ingenuity, as if he could solve any problem with a clever twist of his mind.

Each priest held a round, glowing orb in their hand, the light within shifting and pulsing with a life of its own.

Noah knew exactly what those orbs were.

They were the fabled Orbs of Talent, used to assign an individual with a talent and to determine which constellation had chosen them.

"Ahhh yes, Noah Ashbourne, great to see you again," father Aric said as the other priests bowed down.

'Normally one would have to visit the individual churches but then again, those with money can send for the lower priests to evaluate their sons and daughters from the comfort of their home.'

Noah thought recalling his knowledge of the game.

"Now son, you know how this goes, you did it when you were 8, place your hands on the orbs and have the priest evaluate your attributes."

Amon said urging his son.

Noah moved without saying anything and placed his hands on the orb held by the priest of the technique god.

The room fell silent.

Then the system window popped up infront of Noah but only he could see it.

[Ding!]

[■ The god of Technique does not choose you. As expected. ]

'Tch...I can see that,' Noah muttered to himself, feeling disdain for the last sentence.

The orb didn't glow.

"Oh my, it seems you still lack talent in the martial arts, no worries, I'm sure you'll have other great abilities," father Tobin said bowing and withdrawing himself and joining the family beside Alice.

'Expected...'

Noah thought and proceeded to Father Aric and just like before he placed his hands on the orb feeling its coolness.

[Ding]

[■ The god of elements has chosen you as one of his disciples. Still doesn't change anything. ]

Yet again the system chimed in.

Noah didn't say anything and moved to the last orb.

The god of sword.

He placed his hands and for some time nothing happened.

Just when Noah waa about to take of his hand it glowed for a bit.

Brighter than the Elemental god orb.

Noah and the others had their eyes wide open.

Hopes were shattered as the orb went off completely and stopped glowing.

"Hmmm...you almost got the sword god's blessing."

"But you are talented as ever young mage Noah, perhaps the constellation of elements sees something in you greater than other attributes."

Father Edlric said.

"My son is greatly gifted in magic..."

Margaret said jumping up and down while hugging Amon who looked like he couldn't breath from the tightening embrace his wife was giving.

Amon was a sword prodigy under the constellation of swords and had mastered other weapons upto the intermediate level.

He always wanted his son to receive similar blessings as him.

That way there was no need in hiring teachers for Noah, as he would do so himself.

Even so, Amon was happy with the outcomes.

Whatever path, he was going to give Noah his full and utmost support.

"Congratulations Noah."

Amon said.

"Thank you father and everyone for your humble time."

Noah said giving a smile.

"Well then, the church of the god of elements will be expecting your arrival 2 days from now."

Father Aric said.

"Thank you for your services."

Amon said as the priests left.

Even though he had only received the Elemental god's blessings Noah had a seen a message from the system that had him grin inwardly.

...

[Ding!]

[■ The god of sword sees potential in you. Maybe your not hopeless after all.]
