Chapter 250: Trouble At Door

True Alchemy Pavilion was a giant hub for alchemists. All sorts of herbs and pills are available there. It was a large building with a bustling population. Yang Shi and Jin Yu arrived there.

" Welcome guests, What can I help you?" A beautiful girl came as she asked politely.

" Do you have Beast Feeding Pills?" Yang Shi asked.

" Guest is lucky. Our alchemists recently concocted a batch of Beast Feeding Pills. Please come with me." The girl nodded as she asked Yang Shi to follow her.

" A bottle containing twelve pills costs three hundred thousand gold coins. Each pill is middle tier rank two pills." The lady spoke.

" Then give me two bottles please." Yang  Shi nodded. Beast Feeding Pills are generally used by beast tamers or those who have Demonic beast companions.

These pills can easily fill the large stomach of beasts and also increase their cultivation. Yang Shi bought them for Jin Yu and Xiao Hei.

He quickly bought two bottles of pills. Jin Yu quickly snatched a bottle and popped a pill in her mouth.

" Eh, Little Sister, these pills might be harmful to you." The lady was astonished as she saw Jin Yu eating a Beast Feeding Pill.

" Ahaha, She is just a bit unruly." Yang Shi sweated as he spoke.

  He certainly can't say that Jin Yu is a demonic beast in human form. It will create a huge ruckus in the whole kingdom and even the king of Azure Feather may appear.

" Uhh, It tastes good." Jin Yu nodded in approval.

" Tastes good?" The lady almost fainted.

  This pill was supposed to feed the demonic beast, but this girl here saying it tastes good?

" Could it be" The lady thought of something but shook her head in denial.

" Ahem, Miss I wonder if your store has Soul Nourishing Pill or something like that?" Yang Shi hastily asked. He couldn't let the lady think more of Jin Yu's matter.

" Soul Nourishing Pill?" The lady was startled as she heard Yang Shi. " No, Young noble. Soul Nourishing Pills too precious."

" We currently don't have them. However, if you get the ingredients, you can request someone to concoct it." The lady spoke.

" Is it so? Soul Nourishing Pill is a high class rank three pills. Is there something with a similar effect?" Yang Shi asked again.

" Hmm, I think Mind Calming Pill can consider as a similar pill. It is a rank two pill which is available here." The lady thought as she spoke.

" Give me a bottle of that." Yang Shi thought and said.

" Understood." The lady smiled happily.

She could tell that Yang Shi is pretty loaded. She hoped Yang Shi would spend more, so she can also get some commission.

" Young Noble, your total price will be four hundred thousand gold coins." The lady nodded.

Yang Shi didn't mind as he paid the money. Four hundred thousand gold coins is a trifling sum for him.

  " I wonder if the Mind Calming Pill will have any effect on me." Yang Shi sighed. " Only if I have Soul Nourishing Grass."

" But I can't possibly go back to Deep Sky Forest and search for Soul Nourishing Grass again."

" Are you concerned about your damaged soul? Why don't you find a soul cultivation technique?" Jin Yu asked.

" No, even soul cultivation techniques aren't an option for me. My soul is damaged from the roots."

" So, without enough soul qi, cultivating soul techniques will be useless." Yang Shi laughed bitterly.

As they were coming back, Yang Shi went to another store to buy some Talisman Papers and Perception Stone.

" I should practice the talisman inscription before I start forging True grade weapons." Yang Shi probed.

As they left the store, they roamed around the market for a while and returned. As they were returning, a white cloaked person looked at Yang Shi with a malicious gaze.

" Hmm?"

Yang Shi suddenly felt someone was spying on him. He looked around, but among the crowd, it was almost impossible to notice.

" Maybe it's my misconception." Yang Shi mumbled as he didn't mind much.

The white cloaked person looked in Yang Shi's direction as he hastily left.

Yang  Shi and Jin Yu finally came back to their house as Yang Shi sat to cultivate. He popped three Mind Calming Pills in his mouth as he started to refine them.

He could feel his soul trembling slightly as the medicinal energy enveloped it. After an hour he opened his eyes in frustration.

" I can feel my soul has recovered a bit, but it is only a small part. At this rate, I need to eat at least a few hundred Mind Calming pills to recover back.

" It would be still easy if the matter could be solved in that way. But after some time, the pills will be ineffective on my soul."

Yang Shi sighed as he got up. Today was the first day of his store, so he was sure that there won't be any customers coming here.

Yang Shi took out a talisman paper and a bottle of demonic beast blood. After mixing a few herbs in it, the mixture became dark. 

Yang Shi didn't add the Perception Stone as he could use soul qi.

Yang Shi dipped the brush in the ink as he started to draw a basic Torch talisman. It is one of the basic rank talismans and its usage is also simple.

  After activation, it will burst into a bright flame which can illuminate even the darkest cave. It doesn't have any attacking defensive property, so its value is very low.

But Yang Shi was a novice in talisman making, so he needed to start from scratch. He used his soul qi carefully as he continued his drawing. After half an hour, he stopped as he took the piece of paper.

He infused the spiritual qi into it as it suddenly turn into a ball of flames. However, it didn't emit any heat, only flaming radiance.

" Well, With my current amount of soul qi, I can cast two basic rank talismans in one go."  Yang Shi pondered. But then, he heard a commotion on the down floor as he frowned.

" What's happening?" Yang Shi got up as he went down. Bai Ruxue also startled and followed Yang Shi.

" Hah, to think he lives in this torn down place. Old man, hurry and call that bastard!" A young man shouted as he pointed his sword at Uncle Han.

" You!! Aren't you disciples of the Golden Sun Sect? Why are you attacking this place?" Wen Ran was enraged as he asked.

" Little Wen, calm down. Guests, It seems you have some misunderstanding." Uncle Han tried to appease the disciples. There are five of them, and he could feel that their cultivation is high.

" Don't try to act innocent. Where is the young man who has black hair and a bizarre purple eye?" A young man asked angrily.

" Are you looking for me?" 

Yang Shi asked calmly as he came down from the stairs. He understood why the Golden Sun Sect disciples are here.

" Brother Liao, He is that bastard who injured brother Cao." A disciple pointed at Yang Shi as he shouted.

" Oh, so you are the one, huh? Punk, you dare to mess with the Golden Sun Sect?" Liao Xin snorted as he looked at Yang Shi.

" Only seventh layer of Primordial Spirit and dare to brag in front of me?" Yang Shi laughed.

He jumped and landed near Uncle Han. Yang Shi neared his mouth toward Uncle Han's ear as he whispered something. 

Uncle Han's expression turned weird as he heard Yang Shi.

" Keep this storage pouch and do as I say." 

Yang Shi nodded. Uncle Han sighed as he turned back and entered the kitchen.

" Hahaha, Are you calling for reinforcement? No matter what, you won't able to escape today." Liao Xin laughed coldly.

But before he could react, a kick landed on his chest.
