Chapter 85: The Three Cities

Chapter 85: The Three Cities

I have a use for the Ghost Flame. May I have it?

In truth, Greenstone didnt hold high hopes when he voiced out his request. Nobody else knew what it could be used for, but it being an Epic material meant it was extremely valuable.

Yet everyone chose to give up on the item straight away.

Greenstone was startled, while everyone else seemed to think that it was the natural thing to do.

WIthout your healing spells, wed be long dead. Also, you havent gotten anything good in a while now. Take it.

Thanks, Greenstone said as he stared at the Ghost Flame in his item bag.

Drako Yau smiled and clapped his hands. Great, now that weve liberated Evergrand, lets visit the city and have a look around.

Chau Yu sat on a chair. The chair, however, was situated on the city walls, granting it a spectacular view over the surrounding scenery.

Youre thinking about those people from Yoda? Two shadows silently appeared behind him. One of them had a tall and sturdy physique, contrasted by the thin and plain wooden longsword hanging on his back.

Chau Yu chuckled as he waved the fan in his hands. Never thought theyd manage to liberate Evergrand, those people.

Tripurity calmly said, Theyre just lucky that we didnt encounter the Demon Castellan. If their opponent had been us in Where Rivals Meet He was clearly unconvinced about Dual Coalitions achievements.

Chau Yu shook his head and made another laugh. Triputy, youre good at almost everything but this. You look down too much upon the talented people in this world. He then turned around and said, About that, Scholar has personally experienced it and come to realise such.

Among the two shadows, the other one unexpectedly belonged to the ever-frosty Handsome Scholar.

Theyre very strong.

Tripurity didnt say anything. He had already exchanged blows with Handsome Scholar, and the paladins flexible shield techniques were really troublesome to deal with, though it was still manageable for him. Nonetheless, Handsome Scholar was certainly decent in combat.

Especially Mask. Handsome Scholar didnt feel ashamed to say it himself; that was simply his personality as a soldier. I cannot win against him.

Thats not the only reason why your squad lost, Chau Yu said. Your guild master ex-guild master, excuse me, was too conceited and hasty with his plans. Thats the first reason. The second reason is that youve overlooked the rewards of The Siege.

Chau Yu counted his fingers and continued, Todays the fifth day after The Siege ended. Players who successfully defended their cities receive a 20-point buff in Attribute Points for a week, while players who failed receive a 10-point debuff. Attribute Points arent as important as Skill Points, but you also have to factor in the quantity.

You get five Attribute Points every time you level up. Their current buff is 20 points! Added with your 10-point debuff, the difference just gets even larger. In such a situation, your squads defeat wasnt that hard to predict.

Handsome Scholars eyes flashed upon hearing Chau Yus explanation. So thats why Mask can deal so much damage on me. It has to be the Attribute Point difference, no?

Of course Scholar, youre very skilled in combat, far beyond that of ordinary players. The fact that Mask can keep you repressed in an upfront fight meant hes extremely strong as well. Chau Yu was fascinated. Oh, Mask This person, Ill definitely make him mine!

Three days went by, and those homeless players could finally re-enter the cities. However, the four major cities had now become three major cities; Terrafirm had turned into the Demon City dungeon forever.

The player count in the three cities was starting to average out, though Empyreon still had the most players. Not only did its name sound pretty cool, the citys misty appearance and great overall strength also attracted many players over. Empyreon was also the base of many top-tier and second line guilds; third line and ordinary guilds simply didnt have a place in the city.

As for Dual Coalition, it was disbanded and players returned to their respective cities. While countless guilds still gathered in Evergrand, Underworld was starting to give off the vibe of the best guild in the city. After all, it was them that had decisively abandoned the city and brought the players over to Yoda during The Siege event, and it was also Hades and Soulsmith who played a major part in liberating the city. Some players who returned to Evergrand from other cities didnt like the Underworld guild, but they had to hide their hostility to avoid triggering the masses anger.

Yoda, on the other hand, was in a completely different state. Zephyrwolf played a major role in safeguarding the city, yet his guild Howl of the Tempest Wolves, unlike Underworld, was an assembly of unruly lackeys. Even with many relatively stronger players joining thanks to Zephyrwolfs influence, it wasnt an issue that could be resolved instantly. It took time to raise the overall quality of the guild, and time was the only solution as well.

As such, every guild wanted to share a piece of Yoda, the tasty pie that no one owned. The golden 1 engraved onto the wall was just so eye-catching and coolwhy would someone not want to become the citys lord? Zephyrwolf wasnt going to let those fellows who slipped away before the crisis and came back afterwards to take a share of the loot, but there wasnt much he could do when his guild wasnt that strong yet; his guild would definitely lose in guild wars.

It was his personal prowess and charisma that barely kept the situation from spiralling into chaos. As the owner of Nights Venator and the demon wolf king, no ordinary player could dream of taking him

Right now, an unexpected visitor had come to Yoda.

Why are you here. Drako Yau, with his Mask of the Hidden Dragon on, said with a speech bubble. Just seeing the person standing before him gave him a headache.

Zephyrwolf and Greenstone stood beside Drako Yau. Greenstone had that emotionless look on his face, while Zephyrwolf was almost drooling as he stared at the person.

Comon, I had a fall out with Age of Scholars because of you. Im now a poor homeless lady. Youll have to take responsibility for it, hehe. Idyllic Poet blinked her crystal eyes, making a pitiful expression on her face.

The drool in Zephyrwolfs mouth almost dripped out as he said, No worries, Yodas a big place, you can always stay here!

Drako Yau stomped Zephyrwolfs leg in secret, making him yelp in pain.

Whats your objective?

Objective? Idyllic Poet was clearly in the mood for something. She touched her lips with her finger before saying, Nope, no objectives whatsoever! I just want to find a good place to stay, thats all.

Drako Yau turned silent at her reply.

There wasnt much he could do to help Zephyrwolf right now. Even though he was good friends with Zephyrwolf and no one could rival his stature in Yoda, he didnt want to stand out at all. He wished for nothing but laying low and getting stronger, then get out of this place. That was it.

But he had also heard of Zephyrwolfs recent predicament. If Idyllic Poet joined his guild, it would help boost Zephyrwolf and his guilds status in the city.

Do as you wish. But dont let me find out that youre up to something. A speech bubble popped up above Drako Yau.

He then turned around and left; he had no intentions of getting involved with this woman. It didnt take a lot more experience for him to reach Level 18 anyways, so he wanted to make use of his time to level up instead.

Now that class progression was nearly within his grasp, he was starting to look forward to it.
