First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 801 Before We Go…

"Driri, play my Blood & Murder Mix."

*Playing 'God's Warrior' by Tee Grizzley.*

Seras excitedly danced about her closet like a teen girl in an early 2000's movie.

Fighting and dancing both require a certain level of rhythm and attention to pacing that Seras certainly should have possessed.

But she either didn't care to dance correctly, or was unable to at present. The music kind of just did whatever with her body like Lailah when she'd had enough liquor.

Adrenaline coursed through her body in waves as she picked weapons off the wall.

Her spear was the first thing to go in her dimensional storage, followed by the khopesh Ra gifted her a few million years ago and the shield she took from Zeus.

She was so deep in her own little world that she didn't notice Bekka walk in; no doubt looking for clean clothes to steal.

Though when she saw Seras dancing like a ditzy housewife, she paused and leaned against the doorway to admire the sight.

"Something interesting?" Valerie was passing by while Bekka was staring and also poked her head inside.

Together, the two women kind of just stared at Seras' cute, yet awkward dance with a slightly predatory look.

At a certain point, Seras noticed the looks on her and looked back.

Bekka and Valerie were still watching her with glued eyes.

""…Keep going, don't let us stop you."" They said at once.

Seras smirked as she briefly pulled out her headphones. "You know if you've got time to gawk you can do me a favor and help me make a decision about what weapons to bring."

Seras' closet was different from a normal woman's.

Since she basically only wore the same ten outfits and shoes on repeat, a very small section of her closet was devoted to regular clothing.

The rest was all powerful weapons and armor that she had either Deebo'd from the mythological world, or certain very special pieces given to her by her family over the years.

"I haven't gotten to use most of this stuff on a real campaign yet and I honestly didn't ever think I would get a chance like this!" Seras squealed.

Her excited aura was starting to leak out- in the form of sparkling red butterflies that looked like they were made from blood.

It was only cute to those who slept beside her every night. Everyone else would have found it horrifying.

"Now that I think about it, it might be best to just take everything and alternate between them everyday?? We might be gone for a long time after all!" Seras nodded as if this made perfect sense. Her tail swished back and forth as if to show just how much it agreed with her brain.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Valerie's expression waivered. "R-Right, well.. I'm glad you got everything figured out, babe."

She left in a hurry before Seras could offer a word in response; making the red dragon wear a confused expression.

"What's gotten into her..? She seemed out of sorts."

Bekka sighed in exhaustion. She walked over to Seras and hit her hard enough on the butt to leave a handprint.

"H-Hey! What was that for??"

Bekka transformed into a scarily large wolf and lay on the ground. Clearly exhausted beyond belief.

"My dear… I know you are excited, but I'll ask you to remember that this isn't just some chance for us to step on a battlefield again. We're trying to save a loved one. You have to be more mindful."

Seras grimaced as her mood saw a noticeable plummet.

She was excited, that was true. This was the first time in hundreds of thousands of years she would be leaving Tehom to fight. And the first time since her birth and honeymoon that she would be gone for more than a month at a time.

When one remembered she was the embodiment of war for superiority, it was easy to understand why the very prospect of this trip might make her excited.

But her excitement had clouded her vision just a hair.

And now that she was aware of that, she felt horrible.

"I just…"

Bekka wrapped her tail around the red skinned goddess and pulled her into her furry body. Seras flopped down without a fight.

"I'm not scolding you. We all know how much you've missed getting out into the world these last few thousand years. We're all happy that you're getting to do what you love, but just remember what's important here- supporting someone we love."

Seras nodded slowly. Her eyes fluttered closed as she enjoyed the softness of Bekka's fur and the lightly sweet scent that naturally emanated from it.

"I need to apologize…" She asked in a quiet voice.

Seras slowly opened her eyes and frowned when she noticed something that did not belong.

"Hon, is this a potato chip in your fur?"

"We're focusing on you, not me!"

-

Abaddon was currently in his own closet. Unlike Seras, he faced no real dilemma in deciding what to bring.

He had received quite a few gifts and trophies from his time alive just like everyone else, but he wasn't really interested in bringing all that much.

He got dressed in silence and with his eyes closed; tying the red belt around his sleeveless dougi while reflecting on suspicions that were known only to him.

"Looking good there, dad!"

Abaddon opened one eye and found a very compelling lookalike sitting nearby.

Thrudd wore a set of black dry-fit leggings and a tank top of the same color. Though she didn't need it, she also had a red belt around her waist that was eerily similar to her father's.

"Thank you, Thruddie… Are you going somewhere?"

"With you!" Thrudd beamed.

"Are you?" Abaddon raised a brow.

"I am." Thrudd said firmly.

Abaddon placed his hand on her cheek and stared at her with a pitiful smile. "I do wish that you would not. Many unknowns await us and the jeopardy cannot be overstated."

Thrudd opened her mouth to speak.

"But.." Abaddon sighed. "I recognize that you've long become a woman, my daughter. You all have."

'Gah?'

Abaddon and Thrudd briefly looked down.

Odessa was sitting on the floor with a toy and Gandora to keep her company.

"Not that one though." Abaddon clarified.

Thrudd giggled. Her innocent laughter put a small smile on her father's face.

"If you truly want to come with us then I will not refuse you. But I must tell you I would rest far better knowing you were safe at home."

Thrudd leaned in to her father's hand and closed her eyes to enjoy it's warmth.

"I do appreciate your worry, but I'm afraid I must insist on going nonetheless. For thousands of years all I've done is sit at home and train and I want to do more. I was born to do more."

Abaddon reflexively let out a long sigh again.

Thrudd inherited Bekka's outlook on war. She was much more pacifist than most of her siblings.

The call to arms wasn't something she ever indulged in lightly and she had a relatively relaxed temper.

If she was itching to come with them, then she must have really been going stir crazy at the house.

"Well won't forbid it." Abaddon ruffled her hair. "But I have to know- just how much of this is born of your desire to avoid being in proximity to Behemoth?"

"O-Oh, would you look at the time, seems like I've gotta go get back to packing!"

Thrudd turned into a bolt of lightning and rushed out of the room faster than Abaddon could get his next words out.

With his second oldest gone, Abaddon merely shook his head as he sat on the floor beside Odessa.

"You just better make sure that you don't grow up on your old dad too fast.. I don't know if my heart will be able to take it."

Odessa looked up at her father with a rattle in her mouth and her hands covered in drool. Not a single thought was behind those jeweled green eyes.

He almost wished that she could have stayed this way forever.

-

In light of recent events, Abaddon felt really uncomfortable with the idea of leaving Tehom behind.

There was also his responsibility of protecting creation from the horrors that would plague it. Last time he left Tehom for too long, a bunch of horrors broke out.

So together, he and Lailah came up with a way to make sure Yog-Sothoth couldn't feel him leave and the horrors wouldn't become emboldened either.

Abaddon extracted his eldritch dna from his genetic makeup. He gave it physical form and left it to guard the gate beneath the house.

Just for good measure, the girls fused into Ayaana and did the same. Thrudd didn't have to leave hers beneath the house, but she did have to leave it behind.

She decided to turn her portion into a large crystal that she left in the care of her older sister.

When that was done, Audrina used her divine power to hide every trace of them. Even if they were right in front of your face, you would absolutely never notice them.

Finally, the group said their goodbyes to the rest of their family and gave Asmodeus, Darius, and Kirina orders to stand by.

Their checklist before leaving was much longer than Shin's who just… picked up his keys off the dresser and left the house.
