First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 783 Returning to The Frostlands

"Are you ready, my loves?"

Ayaana giggled as she looked at her husband's outstretched hand.

She wanted to take it, but just this once she felt that it would be counterproductive to today's events.

Instead of taking their husband's hand, and their rightful place in his lap, the girls opted for taking the throne directly at his side instead.

Abaddon looked as if he'd just been shot. At least before he realized that he could change it.

Ayaana's throne was lifted into the air and turned it upside down.

His beautiful wife came falling into his lap by complete and total coincidence.

But now that she was here, she may as well be comfortable, right?

"Nice to have you here, my loves." Abaddon smiled innocently.

The wives pinched his cheeks and pulled with all of their strength.

"Such an unprofessional husband. How are we supposed to appear as graceful and dignified rulers when we're sitting in your lap like this?"

"Are there any who would dare say that your beauty is not the epitome of grace?" Abaddon wrapped his tail around her waist to hold her in place.

Ayaana didn't like it, but she found herself sinking in to her husband's body and making herself comfortable.

"…We're only going to sit here for a couple of minutes. Then we're getting back in our own seat."

"If you say so." Abaddon shrugged.

His wives would have to pry themselves from him before he willingly let them go.

And judging by the look in his eyes, they knew it too.

Abaddon's loving look of poorly veiled obsession was like their bread, butter, and vibrator. They subsisted on it, and got off on it.

It made Ayaana feel like she had to keep her own proclivities in check; lest they destroy everything everywhere so that the wives could be all he would ever see.

They could think of nothing more they wanted than for this man to look at them this way for as long as inhumanly possible.

If there was one hidden secret to the success of Abaddon and Ayaana's relationship, it would undoubtedly be that the two of them were equally mad over each other.

Hence the reason why Ayaana was shying away from her husband's gaze now and trying her damndest to control her blushing.

Unbeknownst to the two of them, a magical motion-picture like aura surrounded the two lovers as they gazed into each other's eyes.

Finally, Ayaana couldn't help herself.

"You… are very handsome." She said quietly.

Abaddon was sexually harassed everyday. Sometimes a handful of times at that.

He should have been well used to compliments by now, but somehow he felt like this was the first one he had ever heard in his life.

His smile became slightly dopey, and his brain warm and fuzzy. "I.. that's…Will you marry me?"

"Yes..!" Ayaana nodded so hard her head almost flew off.

They were so blinded by love they had forgotten that they were already married.

Ayaana abandoned all thoughts of moving and made herself fully comfortable on her husband's body- even swinging her legs over the arms of the throne.

She rested her head on her husband's chest and giggled to themselves softly- having cute daydreams that only the eleven of them were aware of.

Meanwhile, Abaddon was admiring every facet of their figure; the ones that could be appreciated by all and the ones that were privy only for him to know.

"….Uhm, Young Master? Young Lady?"

The duo suddenly jolted awake. The dreamy aura behind them disappearing into reality.

"May I let the princess in now, or should I just leave..?" Duke asked, clearly uncomfortable and unused to being so easily forgotten about.

"P-Please, let her in if you would, Duke." Ayaana said with a smile designed to hide her embarrassment.

The old butler complied and moved in front of the doors to the throne room- pulling them open.

He gave a short bow to Mira, and stepped aside to allow her and her followers in.

Abaddon and Ayaana suppressed immensely fond smiles.

It was always so strange to see Mira acting as a grown up.

When looking at her, sometimes her parents still saw that little girl who refused to wear pants and demanded sugar at every meal.

And yet, her current aura and demeanor were not that of a messy four year old child.

She was a grown woman now. It made them as proud as it did sad.

The entire troupe of Unongendi dropped to their knees at once. Mira mirrored their actions.

"Glory to the light and dark of Tehom. I am pleased to see my rulers in good health." Mira said respectfully.

Abaddon and Ayaana bit their lips so that they wouldn't laugh.

She walked past them yesterday several times- and didn't even bother to give them more than a roguish smile.

"Please stand." Ayaana said graciously.

The Unongendi complied instantly. As did their leader.

"I come to bring you both news of my departure." Mira continued. "As well as brief you on the details of our mission."

Enjoy new stories from empire

"Go ahead." Abaddon let a small smile slip.

"Recently, we received a message from an informant in Jötunheim. A stone giant."

Once they heard the location, Abaddon and Ayaana became noticeably more serious.

"Recently, they've been having some struggles in a few of their territories. Things have gone quite poorly as a result. During each of these conquests, the rival leader is seen waving a black book boistering some rather nefarious magic."

Abaddon and Ayaana glanced at each other.

"As the Euphrates are still off world, I thought it would be prudent if we took the opportunity to jump on this occurrence quickly instead of waiting for them to get back." Mira had a small smirk.

Evidently, the rivalry between the two forces was still going strong.

"I see… you have our permission then." Ayaana rapped her nails over the grand golden throne. "Recover the book, and the one wielding it. And do try to return quickly."

"Of course. It will be as you have said, Empress." Mira bowed again.

Ayaana felt her brow twitch uncontrollably.

She didn't like this whole 'acting dignified in front of other people' thing. Especially not with her children.

Who was her daughter calling empress? Her name was Mommy and anything else was completely unacceptable!

Abaddon had to give his wife's hand a couple of squeezes so that she didn't blow up this whole operation ahead of time.

He didn't really like any of this either, but what was he to do? He couldn't really fault Mira for wanting to seem more like a leader than a princess in front of her people.

Thea and the twins wanted the same thing.

He had given up fighting this battle long ago, but his wives would not go so quietly.

Ayaana grumbled underneath her breath. "I got your damn 'Empres-"

"A-Anyway, what will your means of entry be?" Abaddon interjected. "Last I checked, Yggdrasil tries rather hard to keep you children out ever since your brother and sisters went on that little rampage in Asgard."

Mira nodded, having already thought of this.

"Grandfather Gulban will assist us in reaching the realm. The entire mission should take at the most three days."

Ayaana complained internally. 'Oh, so he gets to be called Grandpa, but we-'

'Babe.'

'Fine!' Ayaana huffed.

The two of them held hands and swept their gazes over everyone present.

They suddenly spoke in a deep, powerful voice that seemed to come from the depths of their unfathomable souls.

""You have our blessing.""

A dark red hue temporarily shrouded the Unongendi and Mira.

As soon as it appeared, it vanished. Leaving an uneducated eye to believe it was no more than a trick of the light.

But those who were touched by it were already aware that it was all too real.

The Unongendi bowed deeply until their temples were pressed against the floor.

"You honor us with your blessing. I swear to you both that we will bring you satisfying results." Mira said with her head down.

Ayaana finally couldn't take it and waived her hand.

The sisterhood of dragons stood up and bowed once again before filing out of the room as one.

Once the door was shut, Ayaana curled her finger towards their daughter.

Mira's entire demeanor seemed to do a complete one eighty. "Mama, this is-"

"Sh! Your empress is calling you." Ayaana dug.

Mira wasn't ready to face the no doubt sever consequences of refusal.

She waddled up to her parents' throne and sat on her knees in front of them.

Abaddon and Ayaana each picked one of her cheeks and kissed her on it.

Mira smiled innocently.

"Don't try to grow up too fast, okay? Your mother's fragile old heart can't handle it." Ayaana said sorrowfully.

"…I won't." Mira said in response. Both of them seemed to have forgotten that she was already fully grown.

"Come home quickly, alright? Odessa needs as much time with her sister as she can get." Abaddon said as he ruffled her hair.

"Of course. I'll be back soon."

Mira stood up and swiftly followed her priestesses out of the throne room.

At no point had Abaddon or Ayaana ever told her to be safe, or even to call them if she needed anything.

Their faith in her abilities was just so great that they didn't even bother to waste her time with useless prattle.

The young woman was just that superior.

And to think, her career as a warrior had all started because she had a fascination with metal spoons.
