Chapter 110: Complex and Angry
Chapter 110: Complex and Angry
At the residence of the wise centaur Chiron,
In the sunny cave of Mount Pelion.
"Teacher Chiron, I understand that you want to punish Hercules, after all, he did make a mistake, but... why do I have to be punished as well?" Promise lifted his head and looked at the tall and mighty centaur Chiron in front him.
Then he glanced at the side where Heracles had been thrown out by Chiron, whose terrifying strength had formed a huge pit in the ground.
Well..the big guy still hadn't woken up from it.
And now Promise was feeling very aggrieved.
Chiron's punishment was simple and brutal, it was a whip of love... which meant a beating.
Nicely put, it was a battle,
But if it was a real fight, Chiron was no match for Heracles.
Well..only if he dared to fight back!
He dared?
Off course, he dared not.
As for Promise..let's not talk about fighting back, Chiron might even have to beg him, begging not to be kicked into the Underworld by him.
After all, even his casual tap might send him on his way.
Hearing his words, Chiron glanced at the boy, his face returning to its usual gentle smile as he said, "So, may I ask, who disobeyed the teacher and secretly went down the mountain with Jason?"
"Ah, wait a minute, teacher, you clearly said you didn't mind last time when I came back!"
"Did I?" Chiron tilted his head, thinking for a moment.
Then, under Promise's wide-eyed, incredulous gaze, this gentle teacher, who hadn't been driven mad yet, smiled warmly and said, "I forgot."
After saying it, the next second, the centaur Chiron charged at Promise.
Before the boy could react, he skillfully gave him a solid flick on the head.
And the pain made Promise pass out instantly, but it didn't cause any harm to his body.
Well...one must admit, in the entire Greek mythological era, only Chiron, this teacher, could control the strength of hitting Promise so precisely that it wouldn't cause him harm.
Later, when the boy woke up, it was already dark.
He was lying on the ground,
But Chiron, who was really worried that Promise might catch a cold, had already covered him with a grass blanket.
"Promise, you're awake?"
Just as Promise woke up and hadn't fully reacted,
Heracles(Hercules, tbh I might use any name as I see fit.) appeared in his line of sight with an embarrassed look.
Hearing this, the boy blinked, then sat up, lifting the blanket, and looked around in confusion, asking, "Where is Teacher Chiron?"
"Oh, you mean the teacher?
He went hunting, saying you rarely come back, so he wanted to prepare a good dinner for you."
Hearing this, Promise felt very touched and said, "Indeed, I knew the teacher still loves me!" "Oh, and by the way, he told you to wait patiently and not run away. He will give you a thorough assessment tonight to see if you have been lazy over the past year."
Hearing this, the boy threw off the blanket, stood up swiftly, and said seriously to Heracles,
"Hercules, it's really great to see you again, but now is clearly not the time to reminisce, so goodbye!"
After saying this, he turned around and wanted to leave, even taking out his paintbrush, ready to summon Pegasus.
But Heracles grabbed him by the scruff and lifted him up effortlessly.
Heracles, the most powerful hero in the ancient Greek mythology, not only looked like a statue crafted by the gods, with muscles and blood filled with pure internal magic power which shuld be called divine power, but he was also 2.5 meters tall.
He looked like a small giant.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Thus, in front of him, Promise's struggle seemed as futile as an ant facing an elephant.. as Heracles carried him back to Chiron's wooden cabin.
Soon, Chiron returned from his hunt.
He brought back abundant spoils, and upon entering,
The first thing he saw was Promise sitting by the window with a despondent look and
immediately understood what had happened.
Unable to help but smile, he said, "Alright, stop pretending and come help me. I won't blame you anymore."
As soon as he finished speaking, Promise's expression changed instantly.
He jumped up from his seat and and walked towards Chiron with a smile on his face.
This situation made Hercules, who was watching from the side, couldn't help but laugh out
loud twice.
Although there were only three people in the wooden house which was dimly lit by
candlelight, it seemed very lively.
Later, Promise even summoned Pegasus to join the small dinner party.
During the dinner, Heracles looked at the handsome Pegasus and couldn't help but exclaim,
"Is this the legendary meteor you tamed, Promise?"
"No, you're mistaken, Heracles," However, the boy corrected with a smile. "I didn't tame Brother Pegasus, because we are the best of friends."
When Promise said this, even Pegasus was taken aback.
And Heracles immediately stood up and apologized to Pegasus.
"By the way, Heracles, why did you steal the golden apples?" Promise then asked the
question that had been puzzling him fo quite a while now.
After all, having spent so much time with Heracles at Chiron's place, he knew very well what
kind of person this guy was.
Contrary to his giant like height that could strike fear in the mind of an enemy and the oppressive power brought by his strength, Heracles was like a perfect hero crafted by the gods, with a gentlemanly demeanor and noble character.
Well let's not talk about what happened latter in the mythology...
Under normal circumstances, even if Athena and Hermes persuaded him, he wouldn't steal... Well..it least, he wouldn't have stripped the golden apple tree bare, and even cut off a part of
it!
Hearing his words, Heracles remained silent for a while, hesitating on how to respond. "He did it for you and Meleager," In the end, Chiron, despite being somewhat angry and more so helpless with Heracles' actions, answered in his place.
"When he learned from Athena and Hermes about what you had done so far, he understood that even if he refused, Orpheus and Meleager, who were saved by you, would certainly agree to the requests of those two gods."
Hercules naturally knew that his actions would completely anger the Queen of Heaven.
But whether for the sake of Promise or Meleager and the others, he finally chose to face this
anger.
Anyway, his relationship with Hera has never been good.
Upon hearing this, Promise felt a mix of emotions and anger.
The complexity was obviously towards Athena because he had always received too much help from her, and their relationship was so good that even Hera and Demeter had been jealous.
So, even if she did something much worse he would never get angry much less blame her.
And that's for something far worse, let's not speak about something as simple as this.
Not to mention he was the reason why she did it...
So, he was a bit speechless against her, but..
What does this have to do with Hermes?
