Era of Players: Death God

Chapter 35: Uncommon Magic Systems

Surprisingly like Noah, Lilith who had a nightmare after dreaming of the past could not continue sleeping.

She was dressed in a lascivious negligee! She lay face down and st him a flirtatious glance. A see-through cloth that made a heavy use of lace! The skin slightly se underneath it! And black underwear! The hem of the skirt that anxiously moved down from the bt knee seemed it would be turned up at any momt.

To kill time, Lilith decided to use some of her credits to broad her horizon on a certain magic system. Browsing through the online library after going through the necessary process such as filling her studt ID and paying with credit, Lilith started her research on the Uncommon Magic Systems.

Color Magic: Harnessing colors to invoke specific spells or effects.

Sound Magic: Crafting spells through vocal tones, vibrations, or musical instrumts.

Time Magic: Manipulating the past, prest, or future, oft bding the laws of physics.

Egoic Magic: Altering one's sse of self or emotions to use as a magical conduit.

Manufactured or Artificial Magic: Magic crafted or produced through synthetic means (e.g. via objects or alchemical processes).

Nothingness Magic: Conjuring voids or vacuums, oft manifesting as spatial anomalies.

Glass Magic: Manipulating glass to create barriers, projectiles, or ev complex machinery.

Astrology-Based Magic: Drawing powers from celestial bodies or zodiac signs.

Fate Magic: Influcing destiny or chance to manifest predetermined outcomes.

Bio-magic: Utilizing biological processes or traits for supernatural effects.

She choose each system of the uncommon magic systems and read their description.

In the realm of color magic, colors are more than just visual elemts—they are the very essce of magical power. Each shade has its own set of unique properties and associations, giving practitioners a versatile palette for crafting charms and chantmts.

A vivid example of this system comes from the Arcane: Ascsion series. Here, the magic users, or "Attuned," emit shrouds of color that signify their magical power and progression level. From quartz to sapphire, these crystalline colors serve as a convit and visual way to categorize the potcy of their magic

The second system is the Sound magic:

Sound magic is not just about playing bells and whistles with the flick of a wand or a muttered incantation; it's about resonating with the very fabric of reality through sound.

By harnessing this "music," mages can modify or redirect its harmonies, crafting spells that reshape the very world a them. Imagine crafting a sce where characters alter the course of a river with a harmonic sequce or slow down time with a dissonant chord. The possibilities are boundless!

The next magic in this system is something Lilith was particularly interested in as it was somehow related to her unique class.

Time magic—oft interconnected with quantum magic—can be used for the manipulation of time (and space) itself. This magic system allows practitioners to rewrite history, glimpse into pottial futures, or ev freeze the prest momt—so the stakes are undiably high!

Time magic can be pretty destructive if wielded right, those who possess this type of magic are extremely rare.

Lilith's destruction magic could categorised into the uncommon magic systems. The destruction magic is a mix betwe fire elemt, time and space, a pretty unique magic. More research was needed, reason why she was so focused on this system to understand her class more better.

Lilith continued browsing through the Uncommon magic systems description.

Egoic magic focuses on tapping into one's inner self or ego to hance physical and sometimes ev mtal attributes. These uncommon magic abilities offer a temporary yet powerful means to adapt and evolve, oft in response to extreme situations.

Through egoic magic, players might surpass their physical limits, attune to heighted emotional states, or ev unlock latt mystical powers. Such magic offers writers the opportunity to explore the scope of their characters' pottial and the consequces of pushing oneself beyond natural limits.

Manufactured or Artificial Magic

This magic system moves beyond the sphere of ancit spells and sacred rituals, tering a new frontier where chantmts can be "crafted" rather than conjured. What does that look like in the con of fantasy fiction? More oft than not, magical objects.

Nothingness Magic

Journeying into the abstract, nothingness magic doesn't harness the elemts or ergies of the universe; it calls upon the absce of them. This isn't about simple destruction or erasure—it's the profound power to make something vanish completely, leaving no remnants or traces.

Like summoning a black hole in one's palm or striking an emy from the face of the earth with a finger snap, wielders can suck away ergy, matter, or ev abstract concepts, effectively deleting them from existce.

Within the boundaries of a story, this introduces unparalleled challges: How does one combat a force that can nullify any action? Challge notions of power and weakness by weaving nothingness magic into your power.

Glass Magic:

Glass is oft viewed as fragile and brittle, but who's to say it can't be a versatile and pott elemt? This idea shines—quite literally—in Lloyd McClelland's In The Shadow of Lightning.

In it, practitioners manipulate specially chanted glass—dubbed "godglass"—that comes in various hues to boost natural talts or conditions. For example, some types of this chanted glass amplify an individual's charisma, while others hance healing abilities.

Speaking about the logic behind the system, McClelland said: "We landed on these little glass baubles that hance people, depding on the impurities in the sand that they're made with…" and so that turned into, "How does it affect the economy? How does it affect the wars? How does it affect individuals?"

Lilith moved onto the next magic of the uncommon magic system.

Astrology-Based Magic:

Astrology-based magic intertwines cosmic alignmts with spellcasting, offering a treasure trove of mystical abilities connected to one's zodiac sign.

In the popular graphic novel series Zodiac Legacy, by Choo Lee, the author created a magic system with a unique twist on the a certain country zodiac. After the powers of the zodiac become prest in the world, twelve characters find themselves with abilities aligning with animals from the far east, the Wuxia zodiac system.

For example, the main character Stev assumes the powers of the Tiger—strgth, speed, and hanced reflexes.

Here are some ideas of what an astrology-based magic system could look like to get you started:

Aries: A preternatural ability for warcraft.

Taurus: A magical septum piercing that grants bull-like strgth.

Gemini: The ability to clone yourself or temporarily be in two places at once.

Cancer: Possessing a super-strong outer shell like a crab.

Leo: Transforming into a lion on a full moon (Werelion?!).

Virgo: Sir-like chantresses who lure m to their deaths.

Libra: Ultra-persuasive diplomatic skills, capable of quelling tse international affairs.

Scorpio: A superhuman ability to wield poisonous daggers.

Sagittarius: The ability to run on literal horsepower.

Capricorn: The horn of a goat that allows you to communicate with other dimsions.

Aquarius: Ferocious sea storms that parallel the ups and downs of your emotions.

Pisces: The ability to speak with and perhaps ev influce aquatic lifeforms.

Fate magic introduces an ethereal layer of predetermination and destiny, deeply rooted in mythological archetypes like the Norns of Norse legd.

These goddesses of fate—Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld—spun the threads of destiny for both mortals and gods. Residing beath the "world tree," they wove a grand tapestry that sealed the fates of all beings.

And lastly Bio-magic can prest itself in a variety of manners—from an intriguing bld of natural phoma and mystical influce to ethically questionable scice experimts.

Lilith perused through everything, digesting every bit of information she could find.

After reading through everything she felt like her unique class maybe somehow related to Nothingness magic, it would be awesome if it was the case.

Suddly, Lilith yawned, she was sleepy again. She had to rest for what about to come tomorrow. It would be fun she thought.

A smirk tugged at Lilith's lips as her thoughts drifted towards tomorrow. The prospect held an undiable thrill, a yearning to face him head-on. Little did she know, her wish would be twisted by fate, unfolding in a way she could never have predicted.
