With Young Master Reiwu back to health, he slowly woke up, but Davis knocked him out as he used his Soul Suppression Art, the basic form of suppressing with one's soul pressure.

He then threw him into his life ring and imprisoned him in a high-grade coffin without saying a word.

"You can take your son back in ten thousand and ten years."

He turned to look at Taiwu and said in a slow yet stern voice.

"I understand."

Taiwu nodded solemnly. He knew what the consequences would be if he failed to prove himself. Somewhere in his heart, he also felt an odd sense of relief since his son always kicked up trouble so much so that he couldn't be at peace.

He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, unable to discipline his son and unable to put an end to his son's tyranny while doing his all to take care of the business. The other Autarchs also took advantage of this weakness. All he could do was appease those who were harmed by compensating them with wealth.

Sometime later, Davis and his party left, staying in another city nearby.

As for Taiwu, he went into seclusion, planning to announce that he was about to have a breakthrough, and the auction was canceled. After all, the main item was taken away, and the rest of the precious goods that were going to be auctioned were also stolen- no, gifted. There was going to be an immense backlash as cultivators would've taken their precious time to travel from a vast distance, so he must appease them again with banquets and other treasures he could possibly procure.

Fortunately, he had reserve treasures that could still be of some value to Immortal Emperors.

More fortunately, the Divine Emperor of Death left a few treasures with him, something that would even attract the eyes of Empyreans. He left with him a few Essence Orbs to cover his tracks.

Nonetheless, he wanted to stitch his head back to his body, so he did his best to prove himself, trying to procure resources that they wanted on the priority list.

He recognized these items were ingredients used to concoct pills that would increase one's cultivation in the Immortal Emperor Stage. There were also a few elemental items required for the growth of spirits. He used his connections to buy these resources in bulk.

Some resources couldn't be obtained here and would take weeks or months to be transported from other realms, so he first focused on obtaining items that were present in this realm, quickly transporting them using three Empyrean Grade Flying Ships he had for personal logistic use.

The trade markets of Eternal Twilight Lower Realm and its surrounding realms could be easily accessed by him.

For a few days, the market for these items was almost emptied out, and they did not know who bought them.

It was almost the third day.

"Darling, are you really going to leave?"

Shirley was on the bed with him, tracing her finger over his chest as she pouted at him. They were indeed naked.

Since Lea and Mingzhi were overworking to see that everything with Metenoa and Taiwu was moving the way they wanted, Shirley took the chance to hunt him down. She was silent throughout the whole journey, but once the opportunity presented itself, she pierced through with her talons and snatched the prey for herself.

Davis sighed in delight. They had spent two whole days dual cultivating.

"Don't worry. We're just waiting for Mingzhi and Lea to finish their work, establish a solid foundation, and for those Daynight Princes to get back and present us with the two treasures we require."

"…" Shirley soundlessly nodded.

She still remembered that they needed the Eternal Daynight Scripture and the Infernal Haze Retribution Cloud's Core. However, this was the third day, and she was afraid those stupid Dark Apostles would somehow visit Davis again and change his mind.

Davis said otherwise again and comforted her.

He then left the bed and walked out of the chamber after refreshing and dressing himself up. They had rented out an entire palace to themselves, so they didn't need to worry about outsiders being inside. It was also one of Taiwu's properties, but they were here on the premise that they rented the entire palace out, so there were two layers of safety and concealment.

He remembered he had forgotten about someone and went to her. Fortunately, she seemed to be in the hall with someone else. It was none other than the silver-haired little girl. She was silent and shy the whole time. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Hey, rabbit. I still haven't gotten your name."

Davis went ahead and intruded at their dining table, taking a seat for himself. He sat opposite the Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit and cast a charming smile at her as he asked.

The Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit didn't know what to say.

She kept silent the entire time after witnessing the interaction between him and the Heavenly Blight Hall. She barely knew the former as their interaction was something that took place in a land of survival and fewer rules, but she followed after him because she knew he could be trusted as he always kept his word.

She wanted to talk to him and give her thanks, but he locked himself in his chamber. She could only imagine what went on.

"Illumina Lunarisse. Illumina is my name, and Lunarisse is the name the Empress bestowed on me."

"Illumina…" Davis nodded, "It's a good name."

"That said— I have fulfilled your request to save the Lunarisse Empress's granddaughter. You can leave anytime you want, but I want to ask if you are giving away the Lunarisse Empire's Treasury to me."

"Not giving away. It's practically yours. I owe you far too much." Illumina Lunarisse sounded modest, even ashamed to have asked him so much.

Davis raised his brows, "But you are not the owns the treasury, no?"

Illumina Lunarisse nodded, "I'm only the gatekeeper, so if it was opened without my permission, I would slowly die out in sickness, but since that didn't happen, I can only imagine that every other Lunarisse Empire's imperial members are dead. I also asked the Lunarisse Empress why she didn't open the treasury to increase her own cultivation base. After all, the treasury has treasures that support even a Mid Stage Empyreans. However, she answered back that my life was more important than seeking out benefits."

"Supporting Mid-Stage Empyreans…" Davis mused loudly as he rubbed his chin.

He still hadn't fully gone through the treasures he obtained from Taiwu, but he was extremely interested in obtaining whatever treasure might be in the Mid-Empyrean range.
