Kronos Alistair stared back at the Divine Emperor of Death, his eyelids quivering ever so lightly before he snorted.

Kronos Alistair soared into the air, and the Divine Emperor of Death followed suit.

Kronos Alistair glared at the Divine Emperor of Death, face-to-face, as he recollected their first encounter.

Fifty seconds. Fifty seconds… was all it took for him to fall in battle.

The Divine Emperor of Death had seen through all his attacks and possessed a shocking amount of soul force that he wasn't afraid to waste and actually overpowered him, an Immortal Emperor, and then proceeded to behead him with an iridescent wheel that put a shocking pressure on him, petrifying him to death. He got intimidated and wasn't able to use Time Laws in time.

That's why he had chosen to flee at the second encounter but still died to the Divine Emperor of Death's assassination arts, the iridescent wheel overwhelming in a similar way.

This was the third encounter and he didn't think he could survive by fleeing again, choosing to face the Divine Emperor of Death without retreat.

"Senior, I am Kronos Alistair. You have an iridescent wheel with a deathly wolf that you plan to use to defeat me, but it's better that you don't."

"To court Queen Nadija."

The people who were intrigued by the two Divergents were shocked, but Queen Nadija was even more shocked.

"Do you two have some history?"

The Divine Emperor of Death turned to look at Queen Nadija, where she vehemently shook her head, causing him to return his gaze.

"You aren't here to kidnap her, are you?"

"What is she to you anyway?" Kronos Alistair narrowed his eyes.

He had been eying Queen Nadija for a long time.

"A friend's benefactor." The Divine Emperor of Death responded casually, "If Queen Nadija is in trouble or faces harm, I have assured my friend that the ones who try to harm her will suffer."

Kronos Alistair grinned coldly yet inwardly. He was cursing his bad luck.

He had heard the Divine Emperor of Death was somewhat reasonable person but reason could only go so far and to top it off, Queen Nadija now has his protection. At this rate, it seems like he wouldn't be able to obtain Queen Nadija, causing him to clench his teeth.

He blurted out with reluctance before he turned around, "Then I'll take my leave."

Kronos Alistair inwardly grumbled. In the previous two encounters, didn't he say that he should scram within a few seconds!?

"Say, are you able to look into the future?"

"…!"

His heart skipped a beat as he heard the ridiculous words from the Divine Emperor of Death.

A normal person wouldn't even think of that, as this feat wasn't possible without using divination, and even then, there would only be visions for Mystic Diviners and not have a clear view, allowing him to play as he pleased in real-time.

Kronos Alistair stared at this monster who was able to garner what he was capable of with just a few questions while when he fought, his time-attributed attacks were seen through and dealt with before an overwhelming attack finished him off.

If he moved strangely, he would be attacked as the other party's focus was fully on him. It was clear he couldn't lie his way out, either.

Was there no way he could escape from this monster?
