Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3553 Investigation To the West

Chapter 3553  Investigation To the West

"Mhm…"

After dispersing to investigate, the female Divine Inquisitor, with an authoritative voice, eventually sensed an array of powerful undulations and descended on them, only to see a palace and a bunch of Peak Immortal Emperors.

The deathly mist around her fluctuated as though inducing a sense of alarm as in her suppressed state, she didn't think she could take them all at once since their auras were dense and powerful.

However, she was prideful and had full confidence in the reputation of the Reincarnation Dimension that if she introduced herself, then no one would dare to harm her. It wasn't blind faith but that was how it went in previous inquisitions.

She descended and entered the palace like a ghost.

"Master, you went too far."

"I… I know. I am trying to make amends for it, but I don't know how, and he certainly doesn't seem able to forgive me, at least not today."

"…"

"Will the Divine Emperor of Death retaliate?" asked another person.

"…"

No one noticed her as they appeared to discuss, allowing her to take out her scroll and investigate the people here.

'What the… my authority isn't enough to look at her origin? Even her father and mother are blank, or is she a new soul…? Oh… what's this… the Life Supreme has taken note of her…? Oh my, her soul has… fourth-tier karmic virtue… makes sense...'

The Divine Inquisitor noticed the title of the Divine Saintess of Life. It was universal, meaning that she was acknowledged as that in this universe at the very least and through karma, also in the Three-Layered Universe.

She listed Saintess Lunaria as a suspect and moved on to the others present here.

'Oh, so she's Solara Skyshore…'

'Zera Nullheart…'

'Elysian Veritas…'

'Ryheris Yilan…'

'Keith Siegknot…'

"…"

After she investigated everyone present through the scroll of origin, the Divine Inquisitor did not seem amused.

"Great… everyone here is a Divergent…"

She didn't know how to investigate everyone thoroughly.

Besides, for Wix Voidfield, Lunaria Skyshore didn't show up as a Soul Contract, which meant Lunaria Skyshore was most likely an Anarchic Divergent.

To her, this space seemed to be the most suspicious place in the universe with such a congregation of Divergents with an obviously powerful Anarchic Divergent who seemed to be at the center of them all, and what's more, she was called the Divine Saintess of Life, something that made her remember the past as this Universal Title was owned by another Divine Saintess called Myria.

"So what's this about the Divine Emperor of Death's retaliation?"

"…!"

The Divine Inquisitor voiced out, abruptly garnering all eight of their attention, which shocked them beyond compare as they suddenly became aware of her.

For a moment, everyone thought that the Divine Emperor of Death sent her against them as they sensed her deathly aura, which was tantamount to relating her to the Divine Emperor of Death.

However, when they realized what kind of question she asked, they turned confused.

"I don't appreciate you intruding upon my palace." Saintess Lunaria narrowed her eyes at her, "Just who are you? You look quite evil."

"Insolence." The Divine Inquisitor's voice was overwhelming, having a terrifying pressure on their souls, "You are in the presence of a Divine Inquisitor of the Reincarnation Dimension. Offer your humility or reap the consequences."

"…!?"

Saintess Lunaria and the others became shocked.

They didn't know if they should believe her or not, but her aura was unlike they had ever seen, making them feel pressured.

It didn't seem to be Myria clad in the apex treasure's energy either, as she was familiar with the apex treasure's energy signature, although it could've changed, and she couldn't be sure about it.

Regardless, she possessed a cold expression as she certainly wasn't amused by her own actions today.

"The Divine Emperor of Death owns the region to the east, and we have a misunderstanding, so I'm trying to apologize, that's all.

"Is that all?" The Divine Inquisitor probed further.

"…"

However, Saintess Lunaria kept quiet, prompting the Divine Inquisitor to nod.

"Then do you eight have anything to do with the disturbance that had caused all of your souls to be affected?"

Saintess Lunaria didn't even flinch one bit, "Yes, there was a mis-happening and he got blamed for that."

"What do you mean?"

Saintess Lunaria paused for a moment, turning to look away before she heaved a sigh.

"I found an anomaly and required the Divine Emperor of Death's help to access it but it since he was an Anarchic Divergent like me, things went wrong and the myriad of souls in the First Haven World and its mini realms got affected, and everyone thinks its his fault, so that's where the misunderstanding began."

"Where was this anomaly you speak of?"

"I don't know." Saintess Lunaria shook her head, "It was here and probably dispersed after we interacted with it or it had possible gone into the void. Perhaps, you should hurry and leave in order to be able track it."

"If the words you uttered in front of this seat are lies, then you will receive this inquisition's judgment."

"Pui!~"

"Saintess!"

Abruptly, Saintess Lunaria's eyes widened before she spat a mouthful of blood and dropped to her knees. But before she could reach the ground, she regained balance, glaring at the black-cloaked reaper.

She instantly realized when she chose to acquiesce the authority of the Divine Inquisition, she already got hit with its karma. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The Divine Inquisitor's aura fluctuated with derision.

"Lies. I will get to the bottom of this by searching for this so-called Divine Emperor of Dea-"

*Bzzz!~*

Abruptly, shadow engulfed her from underneath, holding her in place and a huge pressure descended on her as though a planet was crashing down towards her, causing her to be shocked.

She glanced at Kalaxis Vain and Keith Siegknot, turning shocked at their prowess, which was enough to annihilate her in her suppressed state!

She unleashed her death energy as tendrils of death shot out like tentacles, trying to shatter their suppression. However, three yin-yang wheels appeared around her and compressed, suppressing her entire cultivation, making her shocked as it shouldn't be possible to suppress a being like her unless it was like the special energy of the World Master.

The woman called Zera Nullheart made her heart tremble, but it didn't end there. Two men appeared around her, looking to make a move.

But before she could do anything else, a cauldron appeared and flipped down on her, sealing her in a dark space.

"Y-You dare!? Do you want to make an enemy out of the Reincarnation Dimension? All of you will have your souls extinguished at the very least!"

Becoming fully suppressed that she couldn't even exert her death energy anymore, she yelled out in panic, appearing to have lost her composure.

The Guardians looked grim.

Reincarnation Dimension? Was that supposed to be true?

"Let her go…"

However, Saintess Lunaria waved her hand, causing the Guardians to narrow their eyes.

This strange woman harmed their Saintess. How could they let her leave?
