Chapter 314: First Part - Battle Royale (2)
"If what the boss predicted come true, should we move the men from the port to tackle this matter instead?" Alex asked. His reply was OK, but through Stein, Zhang Qin Feng noticed some differences in his tone.
There was a hint of anger in his speech, even if he managed to control it pretty well.
As for his reason for seeming impatience, it's linked to the death of two deputies in the attack. The two deputies were chosen from his team of elites. And right now, their deaths greatly affected his ability to reason.
"No. All the deputies will remain where they're posted, except for Satella's core team, do you understand?" Zhang Qin Feng said. His strict order means he won't allow anyone to disobey this order.
"This…" evidently, Alex had other plans in his mind. But it was thwarted by Zhang Qin Feng even before he thought about it.
"Do anyone here know what is their current numbers right now? And what kind of strength they had?" he continued.
"From what we know, they have between three hundred people, split into two different teams. Weaponry-wise, it was comparable to the uncharged version of Thunderbolt Rifle we had. But we're unsure about how durable is their defensive equipment."
"But we're sure they had control over the two MCC left behind. Also, these people weren't stupid. The location they chose to fortify was once the police station of this Turbine Town." Shaun added after remain quiet throughout the meeting.
"Alright. This matter will be handled by Satella's Core Unit and myself. The rest of you will return and protect your post. I want you to make sure that no Crystal-Heads managed to approach our bases until we planned what to do with them. Do you get it?" Zhang Qin Feng's stern tone came as he passed down his order.
"Boss… Are you pissed?" Queenie asked.
"Yes, I am. That's why I'm taking this personally. The grudge of killing sixty people of mine and two deputies, also taking my MCC without paying me rent, I'm angry about all this." Zhang Qin Feng said.
"But these people had no death in their previous attack. Even if our core unit is strong, there's still a risk in this…" Queenie wanted to continue, but Satella stopped her from talking.
For the next two hours, Zhang Qin Feng merely talked about what kind of planning he had for now and the future before allowing everyone to leave. And there's only Zhang Qin Feng, and Satella was left inside the meeting room.
"What's in your mind, Feng? Please let me know before I worry too much." Satella asked while putting her head on Zhang Qin Feng's chest. After becoming his woman for this long, she knew what kind of gesture she should employ to make Zhang Qin Feng talk to her.
"Well… Since we're definitely going to clash with them, I have a better way in my mind on how we show them our strength." Zhang Qin Feng answered her with his fingers tugging on her lovely chin.
While she expected the least, Zhang Qin Feng gave her a peck on her lips with a smile before he continued.
Let's see if my prediction tomorrow is correct. I'm sure the Crystal-Heads will attack us once they lose patience. If they decided to attack even after seeing the MCC parked on the bases, that means they're desperate."
"If that is the case, we'll be attacking them based on the report the others gave us. Just prepare your team because we'll be going at them on foot tomorrow, without the MCC." Zhang Qin Feng said.
And after he finished telling her what was in his mind, it was time to put something else in action. Carrying her in a princess-hug, the two retreated back into their bedroom, where Zhang Qin Feng gave his effort is satisfying her.
As Zhang Qin Feng predicted, the Strand Line Recycling Hub and Bew Wind Base were attacked the following afternoon. Their attacking force was quite fierce, but it was not comparable to those that took down two of Wind Base's Squadrons.
This could only mean one thing.
They have a better grasp on the technological advantages, but not on resources. The lack of heavy weaponry on their attack over the two bases further confirmed Zhang Qin Feng's suspicion. This also explained why they had their eyes at Turbine Town.
Perhaps in their eyes, Turbine Town is another manpower generating machine that could help them spreads their influence around this district.
When the report from the two bases came back, Zhang Qin Feng instructed Satella to lead two teams fully equipped with all the arsenals they had. From Thunderbolt Mk-II to Decimator Rocket Launcher, Raven Sniper Rifle, and multiple cylindrical grenades with different functionalities.
Of course, Zhang Qin Feng followed as well.
It took them about half an hour to arrive at the fortified police station. And with the two MCC walls blocking a large part of the building, it was undoubtedly a super-protected fortress.
"Disperse and position yourself on the upper ground." Zhang Qin Feng ordered. Using the taller buildings surrounding the police station as their sniping point, Zhang Qin Feng quickly received a report of what the people were doing.
"Boss, these people are in the middle of moving their ammunition, food, and other supplies into the station. We're waiting for your instructions." one of the snipers reported.
"Open fire. Takedown the guards on their walls." Zhang Qin Feng instructed.
**BANG!**
Consecutive shots were fired. It was then followed by dead soldiers falling down from the wall and littered everywhere. This sight took the Crystal-Heads by surprise as more people quickly armed themselves and came to the wall.
And before they managed to spot the shooters, the second barrage arrived. Another group of soldiers fell to the ground.
This time, nobody dared to move. Those that still alive quickly hide and seek protection from anything that could block their visage.
"No targets in our sight. What's your next order, boss?" one of the snipers reported.
"Fire the Decimator Rockets at them. Fish them out until no survivor left. I want only dead bodies." Zhang Qin Feng said while hinting to Satella to leave this sniping point.
Evidently, he still has something else in mind.
