After getting a 0.1% understanding of the Demonic element, Aren also knew about the basic effects of demonic energy.

The nature of demonic energy was truly befitting of an advanced element. It can affect the mind and body both, and it was only used on those two things both negatively and positively.

Negatively on enemies and positively on self, on both soul and body aspects.

On the soul aspect, Aren can infuse demonic energy in his soul and invoke Will Force. He can use this force to suppress others and dominate them. Even if it can't dominate the target entirely, it can disturb and reduce their combat ability since suppressing willpower negatively affects targets.

The second nature is physical. Aren can enhance his physical aspects by infusing demonic energy into his body. This infusion of demonic energy brings out temporary versatile enhancement in his body as long as demonic energy is provided to that physical aspect of his body.

For instance, if he infuses the demonic energy in his dragon tail, he can physically make it stronger, and on top of that, it would provide a random but not totally random enhancement in his tail. According to what Aren felt, the enhancement is related to the atmosphere around him.

For better information, Aren will have to use it later after forming the Demonic affinity core.

After traveling for another hour, they arrived at a large underworld city that was bigger than the previous city.

"We are finally at the Gaar Underworld City, "Konish said as he descended the chariot before the three of them started walking towards the entrance gates.

"Aren, you can literally get most of the things special to the underworld and more in this city since it's one of the top five cities in the underworld," Jin said with a beaming smile, "Although it's ranked fifth, it's still a great thing."

"And the City Lord of this city is our relative, so…you know, many things are easier to do here," Konish said with a faint smile.

The three of them reached the gate, and Konish showed a token to the guards before letting them go inside with respect in their eyes. However, their respect was directed towards the token.

"One of the top five cities…then I guess your relative must be a Legendary powerhouse, right?" Aren asked.

"Indeed," Jin nodded.

"Well, the relative is actually our uncle, blood-related uncle. However, he has severed ties with our main family," Jin said with a sigh before he smiled, "but we are his dear nephews, so he still helps us in need and cares for us."

"Aren, we will first go visit our uncle. You can also form your affinity cores in the palace since it has specialized facilities there," Konish said.

The three of them were walking towards the largest palace in the city. Aren was listening to them and also looking at the people, stores, and buildings. They were all made up of tough materials like silver-black wood and Staron metal.

"What kind of facilities is needed to form affinity cores?" Aren asked with doubt because he felt that it shouldn't require that much preparation since its a natural and comprehensive thing.

"Well, for starters, you need to be in a place with a concentrated amount of elemental particles of your affinity," Jin paused a little bit before continuing, "in such places, you can comprehend your elements faster and reach 1% progress in your level 1 element power, after which, the process to form an affinity core will semi-automatically start.

"Semi-automatically because you have to continuously pour Spirit energy and Soul energy into the ongoing process while the affinity core is forming in your inner space."

After Jin finished speaking, Konish chimed in with a hint of proudness in his, "our uncle's palace has a facility that can provide you such contracted environment for your fire and demonic element. Naturally, you can also use such facilities in the city by paying gold coins, but they are not as good as the ones in our uncle's palace."

"Oh?" Aren was surprised before his eyebrows creased a bit, "but…I just met you several hours ago, and I am a stranger to your uncle. I don't know why you want to help me for free."

"Eh…It's not free, of course. Hahaha," Jin laughed before he patted Aren's shoulder, "An event or two in the tournament requires us to team up. So we are just investing in you for a better chance at winning more points."

"Anyway," said Jin as he grinned, "such facilities in the city are not that expensive either, and requesting our uncle to use the facility in the palace is not that big of a deal."

"Alright," Aren nodded before a determined smile formed on his face, "However, since I am participating in the tournament, I will aim for the top."

"Cough…, well, there will be hidden dragons and crouching tigers in the tournament. Even we are not sure that we can get the first rank," Konish said with a wry smile.

"It's all about mindset," Aren said with a grin, showing his white teeth, "since I am going to participate in the tournament, then I am going for the top rank! It will be a goal with a progress bar, and I will give my entire focus and work to fill that progress bar towards the goal."

Konish and Jin looked at each other before laughing loudly, "hahaha, I guess you are right! We shouldn't assume our loss or underestimate ourselves! All right, let's see who reaches the top!"
