Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 113 : Deserted Estate

"Hisss…" He inhaled deeply before exclaiming, "Damn! This is the Royal Capital!!.

Felix stood frozen, his eyes wide with disbelief as he gazed at the sprawling city below, a colossal behemoth lying like a sleeping giant.

By sheer coincidence, he and his companions had found themselves on elevated ground, overlooking the majestic Royal Capital.

There can see the entire Royal Capital from where they stood. The Royal Capital was simply too huge so big that, they couldn't even see the end of it.

"Hey fat bro, is this really the Royal Capital?" Nixie asked, swallowing hard, his expression dazed as he turned to Quill.

"Absolutely! Stunning, right?" Quill replied with a grin that could light up the night sky.

"Yeah, it's truly breathtaking," Felix and the others, Trinity, Gwendolyn, Brixton, Zephyr, nodded in agreement, their faces reflecting a mixture of awe and wonder.

The Royal Capital was nothing short of monumental. The city walls towered nearly two kilometers high and stretched endlessly into the horizon.

Felix's cultivation level couldn't even allow him to see where they ended.

Along those towering walls were massive cannons adorned with flickering runes that seemed to pulse with energy.

Even from this distance, Felix could feel an ominous aura radiating from them; soldiers patrolled the battlements with fierce determination in their eyes.

With excitement bubbling within him, Felix took a deep breath. They had finally arrived at the heart of power in Avalonia!

"Alright, let's go!" he urged as they made their way toward the enormous iron gate.

The long road leading to it was bustling with people, an endless stream of travelers moving toward the Royal Capital.

Carriages rolled by while others rode various magical beasts or horses.

"The Royal Capital has eight entrances like this one," Quill explained. "Every day, countless people journey here."

Minutes later, they reached the city gate and strolled through without any hindrance from the guards standing at the entrance, a surprising lack of security for such an important place.

Since the Royal Capital is the central power of the Avalonia Kingdom at least there should be some security checks.

As if reading his thoughts, Quill chuckled. "Anyone is welcome in the Royal Capital."

Felix nodded knowingly; it made sense now.

Stepping through that grand iron gate felt surreal.

"Wow!" They all exclaimed simultaneously as they entered a vast thoroughfare wide enough for a hundred carriages to travel side by side effortlessly.

Interconnected smaller roads branched off from this main artery, each one impressively spacious and bustling with life.

The scene before them was nothing short of spectacular: people from diverse races mingled together : humans, dwarfs, elves, orcs… even creatures Felix had never seen before! It felt like stepping out of a beginner village into a vibrant main city in an online game.

Compared to Bridgemoor City? It was like comparing an ant to an elephant!

Tall buildings adorned every corner; some were more magnificent than anything back on Earth.

Felix couldn't help but feel like a country pumpkin exploring the big city for the first time!

"What are we standing around for? Let's move!" Quill snapped them back to reality.

"Yeah, right! Let's go!" Felix took a deep breath, rallying his entourage as they set off down the bustling main road.

Laughter and excited screams from the children echoed around them as they pointed out every new sight that caught their eyes.

It was a delightful chaos that drew the attention of passing pedestrians, though most quickly turned back to their own business, accustomed to such lively scenes too many times.

A few minutes later, they reached an intersection where Quill suddenly halted.

"Big bro Felix, I'm heading back to my clan now. If you need anything, just send word to the Maywraith Noble Clan," Quill said, tossing a cyan token toward Felix.

Felix caught it deftly and nodded in acknowledgment. "Okay, see you!"

"Good," Quill replied with a smile before boarding his carriage.

With a wave of his hand, he vanished into the maze of streets alongside his guards.

Felix examined the token in his palm and smirked slightly. "Perfect timing," he thought before tucking it away.

Turning to Zephyr, he asked casually, "So, how's everything going?"

"Don't worry, big bro! They should be arriving soon. Oh look, there they are!" Zephyr exclaimed with surprise as he pointed ahead.

Felix and the others turned to see two figures clad in black approaching: one tall and lean; the other short and chubby.

These two people are Finn and Clarke. Zephyr have already sent the ahead to the Royal Capital before they even left Brigdemoor City.

"Gate Master!" Finn and Clarke bowed respectfully upon reaching them.

Zephyr nodded back before asking, "Have you taken care of everything?"

"Yes, Gate Master," they replied in unison.

"Alright then, lead us there," Zephyr instructed with a wave of his hand.

The group followed Finn and Clarke through winding roads filled with twists and turns for what felt like ages.

Two hours later, they stood before an enormous mansion that looked like it had seen better days.

Weeds sprawled across the grounds like nature's takeover; even the gate appeared ready to collapse under its own weight.

Surrounding them for twenty miles were nothing but overgrown greenery, there was even small forest looming in the distance.

"Big bro… is this where we're going to live?" Nixie gasped in disbelief at the deserted area surrounding them.

Felix frowned as he looked at Finn and Clarke before turning his gaze toward Zephyr. Explore new worlds at mvl

The tension was palpable; Finn and Clarke broke into cold sweats under Felix's scrutinizing stare.

Zephyr's lips twitched slightly at Felix's expression before he addressed Finn directly: "Can you explain what we're looking at here?"

Wiping sweat from his brow, Finn quickly explained: "Gate Master, we bought this mansion based on your requirements, it was the only place that fit all the requirements you asked for. This estate once belonged to a low-class noble family, but it sems something happened to them so it's been abandoned for ten years.

So we went to the Officials in charge of this district and bought it and it's also the only place that fits the requirements you mentioned"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Felix and the others listened intently, nodding in understanding.

"It's all good," Felix replied with a casual wave of his hand. "We'll just replace and renovate everything. We've got plenty of funds, and besides, this gives us the perfect opportunity to make it our own! Plus, it suited all the requirements I mentioned ."

Finn and Clarke exchanged relieved glances; their backs were drenched in cold sweat from fear.

"Alright, let's head inside," Felix said decisively.

With another wave of his hand, he effortlessly blew away the rusted old iron gate as if it were made of paper.

As Finn and Clarke stepped inside the estate, they were met with a haunting sight: towering, overgrown weeds swayed in the breeze, while crumbling buildings loomed like forgotten giants.

The entire place felt deserted, save for a few animals wandering amidst the tangled underbrush and the rustling of birds in the gnarled trees.

It was as if they had stumbled into an abandoned haunted house, an unsettling atmosphere that left much to be desired.

Finn and Clarke face was filled worry.Their hearts tightened as they glanced at Felix's calm demeanor.

A cold gaze seemed to pierce their backs, making their hearts race as if they might leap from their chests at any moment.

"Alright everyone," Felix commanded, his voice steady despite the eerie surroundings. "Search for an intact building; we'll make do for now. I'll head out to find some people who can help renovate this place. Trinity, you're in charge."

"Got it, big bro!" Trinity replied eagerly, rallying everyone to get organized.

With that, Felix strode out of the estate, retracing their earlier path.

He took a moment to absorb his surroundings; the twenty-mile radius around the estate was all his, a vast expanse of land but in the bustling Royal Capital, it was simply insignificant.

A few minutes later, he found himself outside the estate's confines but didn't venture far.

Settling down in a remote spot nearby, he gazed around with curiosity.

This was his first visit to Royal Capital and although excitement bubbled within him and he wanted to explore the Capital.

But pressing matters loomed larger, like finding a new place to call home. Staying at this dilapidated estate? Not an option.

"System," he transmitted mentally, "name your price for rebuilding this estate."

[ 1 Million BEP ] came the swift response.

Felix's lips twitched at the hefty sum but he nodded resolutely. "Alright, but I have a few requirements."

[ Understood, Host ] replied the system.

With a smile creeping across his face, Felix began listing his demands as the system initiated plans for reconstruction.

Minutes later he wrapped up his list.

[ Is that all, Host? ] asked the system.

Felix paused thoughtfully before nodding again. "Yes! If anything else comes up, I'll let you know."

"Building will be completed in four days. Nice doing business with you!" The system went silent after its confirmation.

Rolling his eyes playfully at its abruptness, Felix lingered there for another twenty minutes before finally rising and heading back toward the estate.
