Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 111 : Jarvis The Jaeger

"Big bro, I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time," Zephyr said, taking a deep breath and flashing a content smile.

Felix nodded, his own grin wide as he soaked in the serene surroundings.

They had paused by a magnificent river, its crystal-clear waters flowing gently beside lush green grass dotted with vibrant flowers that released a faint fragrance.

Butterflies danced through the air, adding to the peaceful beauty of the scene.

The group had set up a picnic here, indulging in moments of leisure.

Felix, Zephyr, and Brixton sprawled out on the soft grass while children, along with their servants' kids and other family members, played joyfully by the riverbank.

On the opposite side of the river, behind a small hill, Trinity, Gwendolyn, and Nixie were enjoying a cool bath beneath a majestic waterfall.

"When will we reach the Royal Capital?" Brixton asked curiously.

Felix opened his eyes to gaze at the clear blue sky for a moment before responding, "Once we finish here, we won't stop again; we'll rush to the Royal Capital in no time."

"Yeah," Zephyr chimed in. "We've been on the road forever! We haven't even cultivated for a month; our strength is slipping."

Brixton interjected thoughtfully, "True, but while we may not have cultivated recently, we've given our minds some much-needed rest. There's a time for everything, cultivating non-stop isn't good for mental health."

Felix smiled at Brixton's wisdom and turned to Zephyr. "He's right! After all that tension back in Brigdemoor City, it's important to relax and clear our minds sometimes. You can't always be focused on cultivation; everyone needs some downtime!"

Zephyr stared at Felix incredulously; wasn't he usually pushing them to cultivate?

Shaking his head with an amused smile, he settled back into basking under the sun alongside Felix and Brixton.

Suddenly, Felix furrowed his brows and sat up straight as if sensing something amiss. Zephyr followed suit with confusion etched on his face.

"Do you guys feel that?" Brixton asked cautiously.

"Yeah," Zephyr nodded gravely as he pointed across the river. "There are violent mana fluctuations coming from over there."

"It seems something is happening over there," Felix said seriously.

His gaze shifted toward Jarvis standing atop a large boulder nearby; he was also looking intently in the direction Zephyr indicated.

Felix gave Jarvis a faint glance and nodded slightly.

Jarvis also nodded back calmly before his body started turning ethereal and vanishing into thin air a few seconds later like he was never there before at all.

"Don't worry about it,Jarvis will handle it," Felix reassured them before reclining back down to enjoy the warm sunlight once more.

Zephyr and Brixton smiled and exchanged glances before lying back on the clear green grass. All three of them basking in the warm glow of the sun.

A few kilometers away from their peaceful picnic away from the river, where Felix and his friends were blissfully enjoying their picnic behind a huge mountain in a valley.

A brutal battle was unfolding behind the mountain as a grim scene marked by bloodied corpses and severed limbs scattered across the ground.

The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood, a stark contrast to the laughter echoing from the picnic.

On one side of the valley stood a menacing group clad in black hooded garments, their faces obscured as they advanced relentlessly.

Opposing them were guards in gleaming silver armor, valiantly protecting an opulent carriage at the center of it all.

But despite their noble efforts, it seemed that victory favored the dark figures; they pushed back against the guards with ruthless efficiency, leaving only a handful standing from an original force of two hundred.

Inside that lavish carriage sat a fat and plump young man with oily hair and beady eyes,a huge potbelly, thich meaty neck, his plump body trembling with fear.

Panic gripped him as he thought, "How did they find me? I thought I left my clan secretly… only a select few knew my whereabouts!".

Outside, urgency filled the air as the Captain of the guards shouted desperately: "Young Master! We can't hold them off any longer; they're too strong!"

A mocking voice cut through the tension: "Young Master Quill! Come out now or we'll drag you out like the cowardly pig you are!"

Fury surged with the fat young man called Young Master Quill as he clenched his meaty fists.

"Dammit! These guys " he thought angrily as he clenched his meaty fingers.

After taking a moment to steady his breathing and quell his rising dread, he finally opened the carriage door and stepped outside.

"Well, well, well, it seems our cowardly pig has found some courage!" sneered the leader of the hooded figures, his disdain palpable.

The other cloaked assassins erupted into laughter, encircling Young Master Quill and his remaining guards like a pack of wolves closing in on their prey.

Quill clenched his teeth, fury bubbling beneath the surface. "Oh look, everyone! Young Master Quill is angry! Please don't laugh too hard; he might just take it out on us!" The leader's sarcasm only fueled their mirth.

As laughter echoed around him, Quill took a deep breath to steady himself. "Who sent you? How did you find me?" His voice trembled with urgency.

"Calm down, Young Master," the leader replied mockingly. "As for who sent us or how we tracked your little hideaway… well, perhaps you'll learn that when you're dead and in the underworld!" His laughter rang out cruelly.

"What do you mean?" Quill stammered, fear creeping into his voice.

The leader's tone darkened. "It means we're going to kill you, you foolish pig!"

"Run! Young Master, get out of here!" shouted the Captain of the Guards as he stepped forward defensively.

His weapon glinted ominously in the dim light as he stood firm before Quill.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Oh yes," sneered the leader. "Your guards are so loyal! Don't worry; we'll send them to join you soon enough."

With a wave of his hand, the hooded figures advanced menacingly, weapons gleaming with bloodlust.

Meanwhile, perched high on a tree branch several hundred meters away stood Jarvis, motionless and calm as he observed the unfolding chaos.

Narrowing his eyes at Quill and his beleaguered guards surrounded by danger, he glance at the direction Felix and the others were and a light flickered in his eyes.

A small smile crept onto his lips before he vanished from sight.

Quill's face drained of color as despair washed over him while those sinister figures closed in. "How much did they pay you to assassinate me? I can double it,triple it!" He stammered desperately as his body quivered with fear.

But silence met his pleas; they charged forward without hesitation.

Panic surged through him," This time I'm going to die, completely dead".

Just then, a shadow materialized between Quill and his attackers, a figure that made all present freeze in shock and wariness.

Especially the leader of the hooded figures, he was truly shock as he didn't sense how this black shadow appeared. He was the strongest here, he was a Tier 7 Legendary Knight but he didn't even sense anything.

Quill's heart raced with newfound hope as he recognized Jarvis standing before him like an unyielding wall.

"Please sir,who are you?" said the leader cautiously. "And I believe this doesn't concern you."

Jarvis stood motionless, hands clasped behind his back, his expression as calm as still water.

"Please, sir! Save me! If you do, I promise to reward you handsomely!" Quill exclaimed, hope shining brightly in his eyes.

This time, Jarvis offered Quill a fleeting glance, his gaze flickering as if deep in thought. "Are you sure?" he asked slowly.

Quill was momentarily taken aback but quickly nodded fervently. "Yes, sir! I promise I'll reward you handsomely!"

"Good," Jarvis replied with a faint smile before turning to face the hooded figures looming nearby.

The leader of the hooded figures narrowed his eyes into a chilling glare. "Do you even know who you're messing with if you save this stupid pig?" he spat.

Jarvis shook his head nonchalantly. "I don't know, and frankly, I don't need to."

"Then I'll kill both of you!" the leader shouted angrily. Despite being uncertain about Jarvis's strength, he was confident in his own abilities; after all, he was a Tier 7 Legendary Knight.

With a swift wave of his hand, the hooded figures surged forward at lightning speed.

In an instant, a long slender blade appeared in Jarvis's grip as he faced them calmly. His body vibrated slightly for five seconds before settling into stillness once more.

As the hooded figures charged within mere meters of him, they suddenly halted in their tracks.

"Why did you stop? Kill hi..." The leader's command was cut short when over three hundred hooded figures erupted into bloody mists, limbs and organs flying everywhere like confetti at a twisted celebration.

The leader's eyes widened in shock; terror gripped him so tightly that yellow liquid seeped from his pants as he wet himself in fear.

With a thud, he collapsed to the ground, paralyzed by sheer dread.

Quill and his guards were equally stunned and terrified as they stared at Jarvis standing there unscathed, as if he'd never moved at all.

Quill trembled as he looked at the long blade in Jarvis's hand now dripping with crimson blood. "H-how did he do that? He didn't even move!" His voice quaked with disbelief.

"No, Young Master," replied the Captain of Quill's guards with wide eyes filled with shock. "He did move, but he was so fast,so fast that we couldn't see it! He may have appeared still… but the moment that blade appeared in his hand he already moved"

And just like that, a chilling silence enveloped them all.
