Chapter 335 Going Back To The Spider Queen's Tomb A
Zerrick opened a hole in space and sent the lamp of vow inside of it.
"Are you satisfied?"
"You can't blame me. I can't risk letting others know that the black calamity is here, sealed at the depths of the twilight forest. The fear of losing the world you and everyone you knew sacrificed themselves to protect makes one paranoid. You would've better understood me if you were in my shoes. Don't think of my action as me targeting you. I would've done the same if someone else was here." Zerrick said all that to clarify some things to Elliot.
Elliot rolled his eyes at him.
"Did I ever say I wasn't in your shoes or that my world isn't facing the end of times? If I can't understand how you feel, then no one else can."
"Your world is too?"
"Yeah, it's under threat of losing Its core and becoming a waste planet, which would have no other reason to exist than to act as a base for the demonic gods and their armies of monsters and beasts."
Elliot had thought about what other reasons the demonic gods would want to capture Earth except for wanting to expand their territory. And after many days, he concluded that Earth, too, had a core, and the demonic gods wanted that, and that was why the serpentine devil was wasting so many resources to conquer Earth.
"I didn't know. I'm–"
Zerrick was going to apologize for his careless remarks, but before he could do so, Elliot spoke first, "You don't need to apologize about it. It's not like you knew about it or that it is your fault."
After hearing the words of the young man, the odd man raised his eyes to stare at the young man and suddenly smiled, saying, "Shall we go and hunt some spiders?"
"Is there a reason for us not to? She is my enemy because she is a demonic goddess, a threat to my world. But she is also your enemy, a threat to your world. She plans to unseal the master of ten shadows, an evil god on the same level as you. If we don't stop her, what do you think will happen to your world? And the fight there might even reach up to here, and if things go wrong, the black calamity might end up escaping the seal. What I want to say is that we should weed out the trouble today before it can go bigger and bigger by working side by side."
Elliot didn't want the latter to think that he was begging for his help or that Zerrick was helping him in any way or form.
In truth, taking down the spider queen would be extremely beneficial to both of them.
First, Zerrick, who wanted to keep his main words and small Worlds as they are, would achieve his goal by killing the spider queen. If he doesn't do it, then he would lose his main world to the demonic gods, and who knows, maybe those treacherous bastards are actually planning to set free the black calamity after the master of ten thousand shadows.
The spider queen knew about the existence of this place. Otherwise, how could she teleport Elliot here? And since she knew about this place, there was a chance she knew about the black calamity too!
<br/>Elliot explained everything to Zerrick.
Zerrick's eyes widened, surprise and shock vivid in them.
He was surprised after knowing what the spider he recently came to know about from Elliot was up to.
Yes, Zerrick didn't know about the existence of the spider queen that had laid tens of thousands of eggs and was still laying eggs in the main world, Ash Grey World.
He was bound to the twilight forest.
He couldn't go out of this place for long as he needed to supervise the seal and make sure it was stable, and the rest of the guardians of the seal were not being lazy and doing their job.
Thus, he barely interfered or took an interest in the matter of the main world, which mainly was desolate. The last time he interrupted was to fight the black calamity and seal it. Ever since then, he had been here, looking over the seal and fighting off all the curious cats and black calamity's servant that came to this forest to unseal it.
He could have never thought that a spider would be there, plotting to unseal a long-forgotten minion that had reached the same evolutionary stage as him.
He also couldn't believe a part of what he had just heard.
"Master of ten thousand shadows? Did I hear that right? He is at the sublime emperor level?"
"Everything I've said so far is true," Elliot said in a voice full of honesty.
"I never thought that the little shadow slave that luckily escaped the purge would grow up to become the master of ten thousand shadows, an immortal that one can't kill and can only seal. Fate is full of uncertainty and surprises. Even a mere slave can ascend to the ranks of sublime emperors." Zerrick said emotionally.
Elliot's eyes widened after he heard him calling the master of ten thousand shadows a mere slave.
"He was a mere slave?"
"Yes, he was but one of the many slaves created by the black calamity," Zerrick said with an affirmative expression on his face.
He was familiar with the master of ten thousand shadows. The last time he fought with the black calamity, the master of ten thousand shadows was present. But at that time, he was merely a rat, a weakling. The master of ten thousand shadows survived that battle because he ran away and snuck into his rat hole. No one chased after him as they were busy killing the black calamity.
Who would have thought that an insignificant servant of the black disaster would become a sublime being after thousands of years? Literally, no one.
Hearing his words and finding out that a mere slave reached the very top of evolution, Elliot couldn't help but say, "It looks like the saying, "with time, even a slave can become a king," is as accurate as they come."
"I never liked spiders, and I personally hate those who forget their status and try to reach out to grab something that they know doesn't belong to them. Spiders like them, we must break their limbs and kill them before they can lay their threads and swing away. I say, let's break into the spider queen's hiding spot and kill her before she can put her plans into motion." Zerrick said after a moment.
Spiders were not aesthetically good to look at, and the first reaction of most humans, Demi-humans, aliens, and subspecies was to run away from them or squash them to death. And if the spider was too trashy, just like a piece of garbage, then good men take it upon themselves to squash the life out of them.
The spider queen had not played the both of them, nearly causing Elliot to kill his pet and him to kill Elliot, but was also planning to unseal the master of ten thousand shadows, which was once a lowly servant of the black calamity but now a sublime emperor himself.
She was the worst of the worst, a piece of garbage, and for those two reasons, and deserved to die.
Zerrick wanted to put an end to her because he knew that if she exceeded in unsealing the master of ten thousand shadows, then the next thing the two of them would do would be coming to the twilight forest to kill him and free the black calamity.
"I have got the same thought as you in my heart, but we are a world away from her. How are we going to get there?"
Elliot, too, had the same desire as him, but could his burning passion and desire shoot him towards a planet uncountable miles away?
Nope!
He wasn't strong enough to enter space without freezing to death.
He wasn't strong enough to jump to another world.
Lastly, although he had a teleporter, he didn't have the coordinates to the ash grey world. Without the world's coordinates, no matter how much energy he pumps into the teleporter, at the end of the day, it would still be useless.
"Didn't I last clarify that I can teleport you everywhere and anywhere? I can teleport you anywhere. As long as you have a destination or a person in mind, I can teleport you to that spot or that person. The clearer the picture and the closer the destination, the higher the chance we will land on our destination and not someplace foreign. I've never seen the spider queen, but I believe you must have. Just picture her in your mind while holding my sleeves, and I will teleport her straight to her! We will go down and stomp her to death like an any, give her a death fitting for insectoid lineage."
