Chapter 266: Old Enemies Faceoff, Marcuse's Strength
Chapter 266: Old Enemies Faceoff, Marcuse's Strength
The rift that formed over the Deerut's base rapidly expanded as before Insect Queen Yelshiva could even do anything, it had already sent out those who had used it to travel to this domain.
Instantly, a horde no less than the Insect Hive's forces appeared out of the darkness, bundled together into teams; these Flesh Mutators had a savage presence like no other, led by two familiar-looking individuals who dressed the same as Deerut.
By this time, this horde had already spread out in a battle formation around the rift as a gorgeous black-haired woman with long red fingernails, glowing red eyes, and two bone horns had appeared, her face having unusual blood-red markings.
A towering aura filled the air as she glared at the distance, eyeing the purple-eyed beauty with purplish-black hair, pale white skin that wore a sexy spiderweb-like dress as she sat at the core of her insect army.
Both women gazed at each other intensely as the world around them started to ripple due to their power, bringing a halt even to the terrifying battle by Deerut and the Insect Hive's forerunning squadron.
"I greet mother!"
Deerut, who was still transformed into a giant long-haired man, said as he abruptly appeared on the side after flickering like a blurry ray of light. Behind him, was the remnants of his squad that had survived the Insect Hive's former attack.
"You've done well, Deerut. Good work defending this place. Hmph! I have no idea how that insect witch even learned of it, but it doesn't matter. Today, we will be the ones to claim those God Fruits. Vrak, Ezgods!"
"Yes, mother," Both Vrak and Ezgod's said as they bowed before Galgorax.
Looking at them more closely, one would notice that these two individuals were somewhat different from the norm, Vrak had multiple mouths on his body as Ezgods had many different faces.
"You must both work with Deerut and destroy that general of that bitch; as for her, I'll take care of her myself."
Galgorax said in an icy tone as her eyes narrowed when peering at her in the distance.
Deerut, Vraks, and Ezgods nodded with understanding, not daring to show any signs of disobedience. They then turned around and glanced at their hordes before commanding.
"Gather together!"
With their shout, all forces combined into one large army before they stood forward, facing the direction of the Insect Hive's army.
Yelshiva naturally noticed this; she gave Galgorax a similarly cold look as she waved her hand when speaking, "Go."
Marcruse, who stood by her side, forever and always sighed as he gave her an in-depth look before floating ahead of the army, all other insect hive forces followed behind before coming to a halt in silence. The air now had a darker vibe, as if a knife could cut it due to the tension.
"Galgorax, I wouldn't have thought that you kept such a well-hidden secret to yourself. I might not know what it can do, but I can sense the benefits from this tree simply by standing its presence, don't you dare think that you'll be able to claim it for yourself."
Yelshiva said, finally sounding the banner of war.
Galgorax emanated a rich killing intent from her eyes as she spoke, "Hmph! Yelshiva... you've truly grown smarter over these years hidden away; it even seems that you've gotten a bit bolder too. Today, I want to see if you can survive. Kill them all!"
Yelshiva had a cruel look in her eyes when she heard her words; she pointed her finger forward and commanded, "Slaughter!"
Both sides roared as they charged against each other once more, aiming to annihilate their foes. In seconds they collided, as a fierce battle once more started.
Blood and guts spilled overall directions staining the ground with corpses as bug men used special techniques to annihilate those of the Mother Breed. Simultaneously, the Flesh Mutators unleashed peculiar types of body type skills that had the same effect.
The battle was fierce, but each side only seemed capable of inflicting a similar damage rate, seeming to be evenly matched in strength.
'Tsk, these meddling pests, they're lucky my complete horde is too busy handling those troubling humans.'
Galgorax thought with an angry expression on her face, but her anger soon faded as she noticed that the top players were about to clash together.
Having surrounded Marcruse, Deerut wasted no time, he hinted at the others before his body glowed in a powerful aura as he shouted, "Body Change!"
Instantly, his figure transformed from the tall, long-haired man into a slender and petite woman, holding on a staff formed by his flesh and bones. The second he transformed, he waved his staff, conjuring a ball of terrifying black energies that bolted towards Marcruse like lightning.
Vrak stood still as his body began to split apart, forming into three exact clones of himself, each with the same kind of power as the original. They also rushed at Melcraze from three different angles, aiming to shatter his body with their fists.
Finnaly, the mouth's on Ezgods body opened, a shocking cry sounded as multiple sonic waves fired towards him at incredible frequencies, sweeping through the void like a cannon.
Yelshiva's eyes glowed as she saw Deerut's change, she thought to herself.
'So, it's true, her highest in command did indeed have the power of shapeshifting. It seems that the information about the others of her Eight Destroyers is also the same. Hehe, no matter, she can't use them all with those humans in the way, and right now, none of them are a match for my Marcruse.'
As if to prove her right, Marcruse only frowned as he spoke with a tone of confidence, "I may not be the strongest, but there's no one who can break my defense."
His body then erupted with a dense gold energy as his black gold armor took on an even brighter sheen. Soon, his build had increased by another meter as his body grew even muscular, giving him an indestructible feeling.
Following his change, the onslaught from the Eight Destroyers had arrived crushing onto his muscular frame, but rather than seeing a scene of blood and carnage, Deerut and the other leaders had wide eyes as they saw a shocking scene.
Marcruse stood perfectly still as if nothing in this world could disturb his spirit, no different from a lonely invisible mountain at the summits of the world.
'This creature so that's the reason for her confidence,' Galgorax said as her eyes turned stern; when she looked at Marcruse, she felt a familiar power. At this point, she finally realized the reason for Yelshiva's confidence, the very lackey that stood at her side was a being no different from themself.
Yelshiva felt pleased with the sigh of Marcruse dominance, she knew that he wouldn't be able to deal much damage, but as he had evolved to a level comparable to herself and had specialized in defense, no one in this world could find it easy to kill him.
"Without your children, you are nothing. Now that they are all preoccupied, I only need to deal with you myself," Yelshiva said as her body erupted a towering power, looking as if she was ready to take action herself.
"Your pet might be powerful, but he's still not capable of defeating my destroyers. As for handling me, hmph! You're merely just an insect, don't get ahead of yourself!" Galgorax said in an ivy tone, her voice sounding across the area; her slender figure also began to emanate a terrifying power that clashed with Yelshiva's aura from a distance.
At this moment, both seemed as if they were about to begin the true clash, but unaware to them, in a nearby mountain, a group stood in silence, staring at them with sharp and calm eyes.
