Grey opened the door, and to his shock, he was welcomed by an intense cold, a complete contrast to the heat that was outside the building. He couldn't believe that these two places were in the same place, outside was shockingly hot while the inside wasn't. He couldn't process what was happening, he could tell that this place was definitely special and very different from other secret realms he has been to. One of the things he is used to is the uniqueness of each secret realm. This one having three different portals which represented three different regions showed its uniqueness. Now that he is inside, he couldn't help but feel a form of awe as he looked at the area around him. With a deep breath, he walked into the building. He was welcomed by a large Hall, and in this Hall were statues. He couldn't help but feel a sense of dejavu, like he had seen something like this before a long time ago. He tried to recall it, but after thinking about the countless trials he has gone through since his cultivation journey started, and also the multiple secret realms he has been to, he gave up on the thought of locating where the place he had seen something like this could possibly be. He didn't rush after walking into the building, but the moment he entered the building and walked past the door, it slammed shut. He wasn't too surprised by this since he had experienced things like this over the years and was used to it. He looked at each statue curiously, the thought of trying to destroy them came to mind, but he quickly tossed it to the side, this wasn't a place he could act willfully, any mistake and he truly might be in danger. Void appeared on his shoulder after a few seconds, "Finally, a small sense of safety."
"You were in danger while we were outside?" Grey raised a brow. Void nodded and said, "I could sense a strong killing intent directed towards me."
Grey found it strange, he was the one who was with Void from the first day he hatched from the egg, there is no way he had come to a place like this and caused trouble, so why was he feeling a strong killing intent directed at him?
'There's more to this.' He thought to himself and gave Void a glance. He has always been very curious about Void, if this was a place that may have some kind of information about Void, he didn't mind investigating the reason why this place or whatever that's in it wants to kill Void.
Void felt a sense of relief as they were in this building, he looked at the statues and said to Grey, go check out their postures. Each statue has a strange posture, and the details in them were amazing.
Grey walked closer to the statues and indeed, they all had a strange posture. He didn't do anything, rather, he inspected the Hall. A few minutes later, he realized that other than these statues, there was nothing else in the Hall, no secret room to take him anywhere else which he found a bit odd, but after being to a lot of places, he knew that all he needed to do was figure out whatever is in here.
'Definitely the statues.' He didn't need anyone to tell him that these statues had something to do with it. As long as he could figure out what's up with them, he could get whatever was here and also exit this place. He was very careful as he inspected each statue, he looked around them trying to see if he could find a switch or something that could take him away from this place. In most cases, that's how it worked. He would be sucked into the secret world in the statue where he would face a few trials and then leave after completing them. He went from one statue to another, inspecting every single thing about them, but unfortunately, the expected result didn't appear, rather, he was left depressed. 'What the hell?' He was a bit frustrated and kicked one of them, but even that didn't bring any reactions. He started to try different things, from trying to move it, to attacking, to bowing before it. Whatever came to his mind, he attempted it, but the statues didn't show any reactions. His frustration grew as time went on, not being able to open the supposed secret realm out of this place made him a little anxious. Unless he could find a way to open the secret realm here, there's no way he would be able to leave this place. He sighed as he sat down beside one of the statues, he looked at each statue closely and couldn't help but feel that each posture was unique to a statue. He sighed and shrugged, 'What's the harm?' Grey stood up and under the gaze of Void, he stood in the same position the first statue was standing. Both of his feet were apart, and they were both facing the opposite sides, his hands were clasped together, and one of his eyes was partly closed. He didn't get any reaction, but he didn't rush to leave the position, for some reason, he felt his mind and muscles calm down relatively after being in this position for only about a minute or so, he could think properly, and the frustration he was feeling at that moment disappeared. 'Oh, this isn't that bad.' He thought to himself. Void, on the other hand, couldn't believe that Grey was actually doing the posture of one of the statues. He has seen how Grey had tried everything to get a reaction from these statues and they were still in the same state. He didn't think too much about it, after all, the positions of the statues were indeed odd, maybe they truly did have something to do with how they could leave this place. After Grey was in that position for a long period, something happened. A ray of light came from the forehead of the statue he was doing the posture of and shot into his head. Grey didn't even have the time to react before the light entered the space between his eyebrows. There was no way he couldn't dodge it. His eyes were wide and worried, but after the ray of light entered his body, he had a sense of relief as all he saw was a vision. In the vision, he saw a large black bird flying in the sky, on the back of the bird was a middle-aged man who had both hands crossed behind his back, he stretched his hand toward the army that was before him, and the power of the earth element came to life. The terrain changed instantly, and from mountains, it turned to swamps, and then a rocky terrain, and finally a desert. After the continuous change of terrain, it was as if the army had disappeared with the flow of time, he couldn't properly deduce what happened to them, but he knew at the end of all the changes, he didn't see any of them. 'What's the meaning of this?' There were ten statues in total, but two of them were ripped off the ground, and if not for the signs that they were there, no one would've noticed. Only eight statues were left. The first one he copied the posture from showed him that scene. He didn't know what the scene meant, but he had the feeling that the other seven would be able to show him what it meant.
He walked to the second statue and just like the first one, he copied its posture. A few minutes later, he once again saw the same vision, this time, with an added detail. In the vision, the man was once again standing on the back of the large bird, and as he stretched his hand, the scenery changed, there was the use of the water element this time, and a snow-filled mountain appeared in one of the scenes it changed to.
After Grey came back to, he realized what it was, it was a technique that made use of both the earth and water elements.
He walked up to the next statue after bowing to the previous one and did the same thing. This time, there was another added detail to the vision. The man wasn't alone, there was a lady standing behind him, and as the scenery changed this time, there was a lightning storm in the middle of the next scene. The first was just it changing into a mountain, before it was covered in snow, and now, there was a lightning storm covering this large snow mountain. 'A combined attack?' This was all Grey could think of. The first man made use of only the earth element, while also using the ice ability of the water element in the next vision. Now, there's the lightning element, three elements in total, all combined in a single attack sequence.
