A random pokemon journey

Relaxing

The ability usually came hand in hand with water breathing because it effectively turned whoever had it into a fish. You could swim without worrying about water pressure or breathing so for all intents and purposes you could live underwater if you wanted. Obviously few people with these abilities do but the option was there. Still this ability was more physical than aura based so the boost it gave my aura was minimal. As far as color was concerned my aura had long since turned into a pearl color with many different colors swirling in it so these new abilities hadn't really changed it much.-

With that done with all I had left now was the exp tickets from the quest and I wasted no time at all using all five of them on my lords circulation skill that was still at novice mastery. When I did so I was assaulted by memories of me using the skill for months on end and while I didn't actually have the gains from such a thing it wasn't useless at all. Getting months of intense practice done in a mere instant meant that my mastery of the meditation skill went from novice to journeyman immediately.-

Unfortunately I had forgotten something rather important about exp tickets in such amounts, the headache that came with using them like that. I groaned the moment I snapped out of my ticket induced haze as my head was pounding. 'Ugh! I forgot about this shit.' I mentally complained and rubbed my temples. Despite the headache I was in a good mood as I had nothing on my schedule that needed to be done in any short amount of time. I could finally just sit back and do absolutely nothing if I wanted to.-

That's what I did too for the next couple of weeks as the situation with Cypher came to a head. For example I noticed that the dark red on Phenac city had moved over to that new fancy tower in the middle of the desert that was apparently a new colosseum. Realgam tower it was called and it was quite the sight to see with it's almost gaudy design with rotating seats and the colosseum itself held up by a narrow concaved tower. Construction on the place had just finished and the place was in the midst of setting up the first tournament there.-

Ah I almost forgot but the shadow pokemon I took from the people in the lab got sent over to Wes to deal with as I frankly couldn't be bothered with any of them. I mean the Raikou was nice I suppose but Rune covered the position that it could have taken on my team better than it ever could. Honestly the only shadow pokemon I kept were a Magikarp, Sunflora and Mudkip that I purified and released into the Hubs garden and pond. They were rather reserved since they were effectively bland slates after being purified but my pokemon were showing them how to live normally.-

Yani was teaching the Sunflora how to tend the Hubs garden and the not so little one played with the two water types when not training his moves. I didn't need to worry about the two water types ever reaching their third stages because the pond was big enough for them to both comfortably live there even if they did. If there had been a psychic type amongst the shadow pokemon I collected during the trip to the lab I would have kept that too since it would mean the Hub would have a caretaker while I was gone from the region.-

Unfortunately there had been no such thing so I'll most likely have to either import a pokemon for that purpose or simply add someone I trust from this region to take care of it in my absence. That list was admittedly quite small but none on it were likely to be a good fit for that job for different reasons. My contacts were all deeply entrenched in their respective locations and I was willing to bet that Wes and by extension Rui were going to leave the region after this shadow pokemon business was done.-

There was no way someone like Wes was going to stick around for very long after Cypher falls. If anything he was more likely than not going to just head for the nearest league run region to hit the league by storm. I could only shrug at this and decide that if I couldn't find anyone to hand the Hub over to to keep it clean while I was gone I'd just order a housekeeping pokemon from the Devon corp, a Mr. Mime perhaps.-

Speaking of the Devon corp things had been proceeding smoothly on that front as the construction of this regions branch was well on it's way to completion with only the finishing touches left for them to start operation at minimum capacity. The locals hadn't given them much trouble so far that the trainers stationed here by Mr. Stone couldn't handle, street toughs mostly. It dawned on me now that I had thought about it but I had totally forgotten to invest money in the region it wouldn't be a huge issue to fix though. I had seen plenty of the region to know that it lacked a few features that would drastically improve the quality of life here.-

Proper medical facilities and some sort of unique export that would get the economy flowing properly were good places to begin. The medical facilities were out of my hands since the Joy clan had a near monopoly on that field and we weren't on good terms at the moment. The export though I could get set up in a few different ways. The first I was ironically already working on in the form of the hybrid plants I was working on to provide food to the region.-

Naturally If I wanted I could also create some sort of spice that would only grow in a desert like this region but the trick there was getting the locals involved in farming it and then selling it out of region. Honestly I thing it would be more work than it was worth in that case as the vast majority of the regions population didn't strike me as the work in the fields to earn a living type of people. Sadly the people of this region only really excel in one field more than any other region i know of, double battles. That however wasn't exactly something you could export.-

Improving the standard of living in Orre was surprisingly hard without risking ruining the unique charm that the place had. Otherwise I'd just drop a hundred mil on getting the pokenet extended out to the region and call it a day. I eventually just decided to think on the matter while I relaxed since I wasn't going anywhere in any real amount of time.
