Volume 2 Chapter 54: Fashion Show
"Bye-bye, Keith." Carolyn waved her hands.
After breakfast, Julius had put his foot down and determined they were leaving... Well, it was Thalia who decided on this.
Julius was torn between staying here for another meal and letting his daughter stay near Keith.
"See you next time!" Keith waved his hand. Like that, the carriage drove off. Keith stretched his hands.
He turned to the four snowballs, "You guys should go back to your mom." Miyuki knew about them being here. But they should go back.
"Po!" Inti and the others nodded. Their bodies started to disappear, teleporting back to the forest.
"We should go now, Keith." Camelia and Derek were ready.
"Alright!" Keith pumped his hands as he was excited to go.
"Let's go!" Fira pumped her hands as well. And Aria flew onto his shoulders. The three were set.
"Madam, I shall get the carriage ready." But Camelia shook her head,
"There's no need. We'll walk." It was a great day today. There was no need for a carriage.
"Understood,"
"And I have two knights here to protect me as well." Camelia smiled at Derek and Keith.
"Mmhmm." "Understood." And like that, they set off. It didn't take long for them to arrive at the shopping district.
Keith was in awe of the stores.
"They look so fancy, Keith!" Fira stated as she stared. They showed off extravagant clothing there. Keith wanted to go around.
But Keith remembered. He needed to hold onto Camelia's hand and looked around.
Camelia was the Grand Duchess. People might attack her!
So cute! Camelia couldn't help but stare at Keith. He looked like a wary puppy. She understood why he was acting this way. But there was no need to worry. There wasn't anyone who would dare attack in such a public space.
She turned to Derek, who was a few steps behind. He was glancing around the stores as well.
"How about we get some clothes first!" Camelia suggested,
"Hmm?"
"It's been a while since you got new clothes. I think you guys would need some summer clothes." Camelia smiled. She brought Keith and Derek over to a clothing store.
"Greetings, Grand Duchess!" The clerk quickly greeted Camelia. She was a regular in this shop.
"Bring me all the clothes you have in their size," Camelia stated.
"Eh?" Keith and Derek tilted their heads when they heard that. All the clothes?
"Understood!" The clerks quickly moved, and in an instant, they brought out all the clothes.
"We should try them all out." Camelia clapped her hands as she said this. She had never done this before. And she was excited.
"..." Keith and Derek had no words to say. Like that, the fashion show started!
...
"I have enough!" Derek screamed as he quickly went back to the changing room. His mind couldn't take it any longer.
"One more suit, Derek." Camelia had another suit ready for him.
"Grandmother, this is too much." Derek came out with his original clothes. He turned to Keith,
"Am I right, Keith?"
"Yeah. Grandma, there's no need to make us wear all this." Keith scratched his head as he gave a wry laugh. The two wore a lot. Camelia and the clerk went full fashion mode. When Keith and Derek wore one outfit, another waited for them in their arms.
Camelia smiled, "I'm sorry. But the two of you were too cute." That was the only word to describe the two. Keith and Derek's appearance was first class.
All the attires they wore were perfect. Because of this, more people came into the store, wanting to buy the clothes they wore.
"I've decided. I'm going to take all the clothing from there." Camelia pointed her finger and ran it across, showing which ones she wanted.
"Understood, Grand Duchess. I will bring all of it to your home. Also, I will give you a 10% discount for everything today." The clerk smiled.
"Mmhmm. Now then, let us be off." Camelia smiled. They have been here long enough. Camelia asked the two,
"Where would you like to go?" Since they went to the stores she wanted to go to, it was their turn.
"I want to go to a shop that sells magic items!"
"I want to go to a blacksmith."
"There's a blacksmith shop close around here. We'll go there first." Camelia led the two over to the blacksmith shop. When they entered it,
"Greetings, Madam. What would you like?" A clerk greeted them.
"We'll look around first." Camelia smiled and turned to the two,
"You guys find what you want first." Derek nodded his head enthusiastically as he started to look around.
"Derek, are you looking for a sword?" Keith asked.
"Mmhmm. I want something light. Maybe a short sword or rapier." Derek said as he swung a sword around.
Derek asked the clerk, "Do you have something about the same size and made from a lighter material?"
The clerk looked around and grabbed a sword, "How about this sword, Sir?" It was a light blue sword. Derek took it and swung it around.
"This feels alright. How much is it?"
"It will be one gold coin."
"We'll take it," Camelia stated.
"Grandmother?" Derek was surprised.
"It's fine. It's a grandmother's duty to spoil our grandchildren." Camelia smiled as she handed a gold coin to the clerk,
"Let me get the sheath too." The clerk quickly went to the back to get it.
"Thank you...Grandma." Derek scratched his head as he said this. His cheeks turned red as he said this.
"Don't mention it." Camelia smiled and turned to Keith,
"Keith, do you have anything you want?"
"I think I will get some practice swords." Keith asked the clerk, "Do you have any used swords?"
"Mmhmm. They're in that basket." The clerk said as he pointed at the basket full of swords. They were dull compared to the others. Keith took out a sword.
"How much do they cost?"
"3 bronze coins for any thing in the basket." The clerk answered.
"I see." I'll take a few.
"Keith, wouldn't it be better with a new one? I can pay for it." Keith shook his head,
"It's fine, Grandma. It would be a waste to use a new sword for training." Keith picked out a few swords from there and paid.
