"Everyone, you can take your coats off. We're out of the cold region." Sophia stated as she looked out the window.
Keith and Derek followed her lead and looked out. And what they saw was green trees and grasses. The snow was slowly disappearing.
Keith and Derek quickly took off their coats.
"This is the first time you have seen something like this, right?" Sophia smiled as she asked the children.
"Mmhmm." "It looks beautiful."
"This is like my village!" Fira stated as she looked out. In her village, the grass was green and vibrant.
Sophia realized, "Keith, you shouldn't say anything about Mir being a Samui and Fira being a forest spirit."
"Hmm?"
"Before we set off again, we'll stay at a friend's home. We don't want to surprise them." Sophia explained.
"I see." Keith turned to Fira and Mir. The entire estate was calm about Fira and Mir's existence. There was nothing to be surprised since they continued to show up.
But the same couldn't be said when they meet with other people. They might be shocked by them.
"I see." Keith nodded,
"I will say they're my familiars. I won't say anything about them being a spirit and Samui."
"I will keep quiet!" Fira waved her hand up.
"Bo!" Mir did the same. But no one besides Keith could understand him.
"Mmhmm." Sophia nodded. Like that, the carriage arrived in front of a mansion. Keith stared.
It was smaller than the estate.
"We welcome you to our home." A butler opened the door to let them out. And like that, William exited, followed by Sophia. Keith was the last one to walk out, being the youngest.
And there were four people who were there. The man smiled, "It's been a while, William." The man had light chestnut hair and light brown eyes.
"Indeed. It has been a few months, Ryan." William greeted his friend. He turned to Derek and Keith.
"It's nice to meet you again, Mr. Ryan." Derek bowed his head. He had talked with Ryan before when he attended a party.
"It's great to see you again." Ryan smiled as he turned his head to Keith,
"Greetings, Baron Stillword. My name is Keith, the fourth son. It's an honor to meet you." Keith did a light bow.
"So this is the family jewel of your family." Ryan laughed,
"I can see why he's called that."
Keith gave a light smile.
Ryan added, "Are those your familiars?" He noticed Mir and Fira on his shoulders.
"Mmhmm. These two are my familiars."
"It's rare for people to have a familiar at your age." Ryan was surprised.
"Is it?" Keith scratched his head.
Ryan smiled, "I should introduce you to my family. This is my wife, Rebecca."
"Greetings." The beautiful woman beside Ryan greeted them.
"Here is my daughter, Sarah."
"Hello, there." Sarah did a light bow as well. But her eyes never lost sight of Keith, who had a smile on his face.
"And this here is Jack, my son. Sarah and Jack are the same age as you, Keith. Please get along with them." Ryan explained.
Keith nodded and raised his hand, "It's nice to meet you."
"Same here." Jack had a stoic expression as he took Keith's hand. There was a frown on Ryan's face as he saw that. But he turned to everyone,
"Please come in and rest. Our butlers will show you to the rooms."
"I will show you the way!" Sarah raised her hand into the air.
"Alright, Sarah and the butlers will lead the way," Ryan smiled.
Sarah and the butlers brought them to their room. Throughout the walk, Sarah was beside Keith.
It didn't take long before they arrived at their rooms.
Keith looked around and nodded his head. There was only a bed there. But it was more than accommodating for them. Keith rested on the bed. It lasted a few seconds before a knock came at the door,
"Come in." The person who entered his room was Sarah. Keith got up. He bowed his head,
"Greetings, Ms. Sarah."
"There's no need to call me that. We're the same age. Please call me Sarah." Sarah waved her hand.
"Alright, Sarah." Keith said with a smile, "What do you need from me?"
"Do you want to take a walk around the village?" Sarah said with an excited look.
"Sure." Keith nodded. He was curious about the village.
"Let's go, Mir, Fira." Mir and Fira hopped onto his shoulders.
"Mmhmm!" Sarah held onto Keith's hand as they walked out of his room. When the two were about to leave,
"Where are you two going?" Rebecca saw Sarah at the front door.
"Mother, I will be bringing Keith out to the village."
"That's fine. Are Jack and Derek going with you?" Rebecca was curious.
"No. Derek said he wanted to take a rest. And Jack is doing his usual thing."
