Chapter 561.1
Sakuya’s Abilities
“I see. As I thought, or perhaps I should say… you really are your father’s child.” (Lefi)
Lefi explained what had happened earlier, and for some reason that was what she concluded.
“Eh, so that’s the case after all?” (Layla)
“To obtain the right power at the right time, there is nothing quite like the power of a Demon Lord.” (Lefi)
Layla agreed with Lefi’s words and Lefi further added.
…when they put it like that, it made sense.
The shape of the vessel adapting to the situation, was a power more known to the Demon Lord.
“So, did anything change with Seimi?” (Lefi)
“Yeah, actually, after I checked on Sakuya, I also checked her to find that she’d gained a new title.” (Yuki)The new title that had been added to Seimi’s list was – [Friend of the King].
Friend of the King: Those who have become friends with the king, and who were once his subjects. Even though there is no master-servant relationship between them, there is certainly a bond that exists.
When I asked Seimi herself, she said that she felt as if there was a connection between Sakuya and her, and that she was unable to check it out in detail because Sakuya had fallen asleep right after the incident. But, in her opinion, one major merit of this change would probably be making it easier for her to communicate with Sakuya.
“Hmm… but it’s a good power to possess. A power that allows him to live and rely on others, rather than standing at the top alone. You have five direct subordinates, but this child might be able to surpass most of them…” (Lefi)
“Haha, it seems likely.” (Yuki)
Unlike me… Sakuya might be able to control monsters.
Incidentally, if we include Shii and the Wraith girls, my direct subordinates would be more than five, but to be honest, I could never see those girls in that way anymore.
I would not be sending them into battle.
Oh, wait, there was also that wolf I brought back with me from the Rogard Empire.
He was still weak, but if he grew a little stronger, I might be able to add him to my direct subordinates.
To my surprise, my pet army liked him. They said he had good eyesight, was tactful and had a sense of humor.
As for the “has a sense of humor” bit, I was not sure… but I guess he did have a high level of intelligence that allowed him to make the right decisions in the right situations.
“So, I was thinking… Sakuya would probably benefit from experiencing many things early on. Even if it’s something that can wait until he’s older, I think it would be better for him to experience things early on.” (Yuki)
“That’s true… It appears that this child will experience a lot more than you. It’s most likely better to give him as many weapons as possible.” (Lefi)
“I’d like to say it’s too early, but… you’re most likely right. If Yuki-san and Lefi watch over him, I think he’ll be fine even if he goes outside…” (Layla)
Lefi nodded, and Layla agreed while looking a little worried.
“There’s no need to worry so much. Even if I say I’ll let him experience many things, it doesn’t mean I’ll take him to a battlefield. The point is, sightseeing and such would be fine, wouldn’t it? As for teaching him the art of battle in earnest, that will have to wait until his body is ready, and until then, I think it’s fine to just have fun.” (Lefi)
A trip… that’s it!
“I know it’s a bit late to be asking, but when do you usually start teaching people fighting techniques like that? In other families…” (Yuki)
“The Dragon Race can use magic from birth, and they can kick around any monsters they come across.” (Lefi)
“You, born from the strongest race, have no right to participate in this kind of conversation.” (Yuki)
“What are you saying, you idiot?” (Lefi)
Lefi, who was pretending to be angry, was messing with my hair.
I let her do as she pleased, and then I turned to Layla and asked her.
“What about you, Layla?” (Yuki)
