Chapter 193: Heading to the Hot Spring Inn

"The Ashen Knights are born to protect, carrying honor. This is our duty," the captain proudly straightened his chest, indicating he had no regrets: "I wonder what brings Your Majesty here today?"

Elwin pondered for a moment and said, "It would be my honor to serve the country again, only... in my current state, I'm afraid I'm not suitable for the position of captain."

"What if I can help you leave this place?" Karen proposed, gesturing to a female officer nearby.

Approaching, the officer lightly waved her hand, summoning a suit of armor from a dimensional space, standing tall before them.

This suit, crafted from an unknown material, had a dark gray hue, covered in various grooves and cracks. Despite lacking physical support inside, it stood firm.

The helmet was fully enclosed, with only openings for the eyes and mouth emitting a faint red glow, resembling the eyes of a demon.

"This armor is specially made for you. If you inhabit it, you'll be free to move in the mortal realm."

"Is that possible?" Captain Elwin inspected the armor, somewhat incredulous.

Karen motioned for him to try it on, almost as if saying, "I bought you some clothes, see if they fit."

Royalty is royalty; they have resources others can't compare to.

Without hesitation, Elwin accepted the princess's invitation, transforming into a light cluster and merging into the armor.

The armor slightly trembled, then the red glow from the helmet intensified, becoming more prominent.

Click, click

Accompanied by friction sounds, the armor's arms moved slightly, followed by the legs.

At first stiff, resembling a rusty machine.

But as the spirit and armor gradually merged, his movements became more agile.

Creak, creak

He posed as if wielding a sword.

Although there was no physical object, the aura was there.

"How does it feel?" Hua Mi asked with a smile.

"Death Knight" clenched his fist, his voice filled with excitement he couldn't conceal, "It's been a while since I've felt such a vivid existence."

His voice now had a metallic tinge, no longer as ethereal as in his spirit state.

"Elwin Duncan, would you be willing to take on the position of Captain of the Holy Light Knights?" Karen asked formally.

Elwin knelt on one knee, "I am willing to go through fire and water for Your Highness!"

"Elwin left the Ashen Cemetery in his role as the 'Death Knight,' preparing to resume his position as the leader of the Holy Light Knights soon on the battlefield.

As an unexpected ace, they'd catch the enemy off guard.

His appointment as the leader went surprisingly smoothly.

Speed was slower within the forest, but once out, Lu Fei sprinted, significantly boosting their pace.

The wind roared by.

Thankfully, he had prepared and bought goggles from Earth, shielding his eyes.

Otherwise, he might not even be able to keep his eyes open.

Hua Mi had to firmly grasp Lu Fei's antlers to avoid being thrown off.

Xiao Bai accompanied him, comfortably nestled in a pocket beneath his black robe.

In just about ten minutes, they reached the vicinity of the Blackstone Town, swiftly passing by the outskirts.

At Lu Fei's speed, any deviation could lead them far off in no time, wasting precious time.

After about three hours, they had covered nearly half the distance.

If all went as estimated, they'd reach their destination before nightfall at this pace."
