Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 191: Raburle

Astonished, Carmen was truly taken aback when Xu Feng was a Cleric class.

Given his attitude and behavior earlier, she was quite sure that he was a DPS class.

"Do you have any discrimination against healers?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow and asked.

"Ah, no, I don't." Carmen quickly shook her head and denied the allegation.

"I just didn't think you would be a Cleric."

Seeing her frantic expression, Xu Feng shook his head and brushed the matter aside. When even someone like Carmen had such a view on Cleric, it was legit the perfect situation for him.

The more people underestimated him, the better it was for him to take them down by surprise.

'They'll be dead wrong if they all think Cleric is still the same type of healer that can only heal bot or buffer in the backline.' Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

Shortly after, the trio left through the exit of Riverwood Town's East side as they ventured into the deep greenery forest.

The forest was no different than the ones on the other exit side, given the forest was a whole circular structure that surrounded Riverwood Town.

However, passing the forest was what made the difference. The one located on the East Side was the fastest path toward a danger zone where only level 15 and above should enter.

After all, the monsters that resided in such a zone were level between 15 to 30. If a low-level player accidentally ventured here, it would be a miracle if they could even survive three hits from the monster.

"I'll say this again, but make sure to stick close to me from here on out once we pass through this forest." Jeff paused for a moment, turned to them, and warned with a stern expression. Based on his wary expression, it was obvious that even he needed to be cautious in the danger zone.

Of course, he wasn't afraid of confronting them, but having to protect his client as well, made the difficulty harder.

Additionally, he could sense Xu Feng was quite low-level, but it was his status that made him worry the most.

If a noble were to die within his presence, a lot of trouble could come to him regardless of his defenses and excuses. As much as Jeff wanted to dismiss Xu Feng, it was pretty obvious that it was never going to happen.

Just from the conversation Carmen and Xu Feng had been having throughout their walk, it was evident enough that the third party was him.

"Rest assured, Jeff. I will support you from behind… right about now." Xu Feng suddenly said, and without any announcement, he cast Blessed Protection on Jeff.

As soon as the golden light shrouded Jeff, his expression suddenly changed. Alerted, he pulled out his battle axe and swung in a specific direction.

A loud clanking sound resounded on the field, and a monster, who appeared out of nowhere could be seen.

Stunned, Carmen didn't expect an ambush so early the moment they entered the forest. More surprising was the fact that Xu Feng sensed the monster's presence even earlier than Jeff.

'He's really an expert.' She snuck a glance at Xu Feng, who was currently focused on the monster.

The monster was somewhat hideous, and if she had to give a description, it would be like the appearance of a rabbit combined with a turtle.

The monster had a sturdy shell on its back, but the face was similar to a rabbit with two large ears. Its size was comparable to a boar though.

However, the most distinctive feature was the two large teeth that were capable of clashing with the battle axe of Jeff.

"W-What kind of monster is this?" Carmen asked nervously.

"It's a Raburle." Xu Feng responded. "This is a tricky monster to deal with because of its sturdy defensive shell and swift agility."

"Will Jeff be fine then?"

"Yes, don't think that it's impressive that the Raburle was able to withstand its ground from Jeff's battle axe. Just look at the Raburle struggling now." Find adventures at m v lem|p-yr

The moment he finished his comment, Jeff instinctively raised its leg to give a kick to the chest of the Raburle. In response, the Raburle hid in its sturdy shell, taking the blow as it flew away, receiving next to zero damage.

Meanwhile, Jeff curled his lips, a grin flashing on his face as he lightly kicked the ground, propelling himself forward to chase after the flying shell.

Instantly closing the distance between them, the Raburle, unaware of Jeff's movement, popped its head out of its shell, thinking the coast was clear.

However, what it received the moment it came out was a battle axe fiercely swinging in its direction.

Carmen gasped and closed her eyes unconsciously while blood scattered across the field after Jeff landed a fatal blow on the Raburle.

As for Xu Feng, he remained unfazed by the expected outcome. If Jeff was truly an inexperienced mercenary with no skills, then he wouldn't have chosen to hire him for Carmen.

"No need to be scared, Carmen. Even if there are numerous Raburles, Jeff would have no problem killing them." Xu Feng teased, urging Carmen to open her eyes.

Despite the rude behavior he displayed earlier, he had noticed many calluses in his palm, proving that he was someone who had done lots of battle. It was a mark that no one could fake them.

Not to mention, the Raburle was merely a level 7 monster. In contrast to Jeff's level, it was laughable to think the Raburle would pose any danger to Jeff.

Alas, Xu Feng spoke a bit too soon.

Shortly after the Raburle fell to its death by Jeff, a large group of Raburles emerged from the bush, their eyes glowing red, growling ferociously at Jeff.

"Uhh… are you sure Jeff will be fine?" Carmen turned to Xu Feng and asked in a nervous tone.

Adjusting his glasses, Xu Feng nodded his head. "Should be fine. If not, then we can just flee and walk another path."
