Chapter 168: Thor Odinson. 2010 CE

Chapter 168: Thor Odinson. 2010 CE

Thor was sitting in an empty room that was covered with one way mirrors. He was dirty, mud covered his handsome face, and a sad expression enveloped him.

He was leaning to the front, massaging his nose bridge as he thought what his brother Loki just said to him.

Loki just said that his father died because of him… and his mother doesn’t want him to come back…

It is all his fault.

“Oh Thor… Not so mighty now… are you?” a voice suddenly sounded, making Thor flinched on his seat.

He recognised that voice anywhere, it might be a long time since he heard it, but he still remembers…

Thor jolted awake as he turned towards the voice, it was Pluto, standing with his black fedora hat and trench coat.

“U-Uncle?” Thor stuttered.

Pluto raised his brow. “What? You suddenly appeared on earth and you think I won’t visit you?”

“U-Uncle… I…”

“I heard what happened,” said Pluto. “You arrogant brat.”

“I-It was all for the good of As–”

Thor then suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest, as he looked at it, he saw that there was a hole on it, and his heart missing.

He looked at Pluto again in pain, and saw that his heart was on his hand, still beating.

Thor clenched his holed chest tightly, and dropped to the ground, wailing in pain silently.

Pluto then threw away the heart towards him, hitting his face.

“Don’t lie to me, Thor,” said Pluto. His hand then turned green, a magical circle around it, and he turned it, slowly but surely, Thor’s heart came back to where it’s supposed to be. “Have you forgotten that I can read minds?”

“W-What… Uncle? Did you just try to kill me?” Thor said in disbelief, checking his fixed chest.

“Did I?” Pluto questioned casually. “Lie to me again and I’ll do it again.”

Thor then sloppily tried to walk towards the seat again. “W-Why?”

“Why? Because you’re an idiot.” Pluto said. “Like your father said, you hide your pride and greed beneath a vague mask of righteousness.”

Thor’s eyes widened as he heard that. “How did you—”

“Bloody hell… are you an old man? I just said that I can read your mind.” Pluto sighed. He then looked through the one way mirror, and saw that there was a man sitting on a chair. That chair was suddenly enveloped with blue energy, and it teleported to the inside of the room, and the previous man dropped to the floor, confused about what just happened.

Pluto sat on the chair, and crossed his legs. “Your father’s not dead.”

Thor froze. “So you mean… Loki lied to me?”

Pluto shrugged. “When you put it like that…”

Thor clenched his fist. “That bastard…”

Thor then suddenly stood up, but then he got pushed down to the chair again by spatial pressure.

“U-Uncle? What are you doing!? I need to save my father from him!”

“No, you have to deal with me first.” Pluto then raised his hand to a certain direction, and suddenly, Mjolnir launched at him, breaking the glasses and knocking some people that were in the way.

Thor paled as he saw that Mjolnir was in Pluto’s hand. Pluto dropped the hammer to the ground, cracking the tile as he did so.

“Take it.” said Pluto. SHIELD agents then suddenly gathered around the room, pointing their guns at Pluto.

“Put your hands up!” said a SHIELD agent to Pluto, but he ignored it.

“Take it.” Pluto repeated.

“I- I can’t…” Thor said desperately.

“Why? Because you’re not worthy?” Pluto questioned again, and Thor nodded weakly.

“Pathetic,” said Pluto. He grabbed the Mjolnir again, and smashed Thor in the face with it. Thor was thrown away, making a hole in the walls of the makeshift facility, and towards the outside.

The SHIELD agents then suddenly opened fire towards Pluto, but it was of no use, the bullets bounced off of him.

“Agent Coulson, I think you should leash your dogs more tightly.” said Pluto, the lights of the facility were turned off, in between the darkness and the flashes of gunfire, only the glowing violet eyes of Pluto could be seen.

“Mr. Smith?” Coulson was surprised. “I- I didn’t know you’re here, Hold your fire!”

The SHIELD agents stopped their firing, but they were confused, their bullets didn’t do anything to him.

Coulson walked up to him and shook his hand. “Mr. Smith, if you can, please notify us before going here… as to not create an accident like that…”

“Duly noted.” Pluto hummed. He looked at a bald agent besides Coulson, who was sweating heavily. “Sitwell.”

“Y-You know me s-sir?” Sitwell stuttered.

Pluto smiled mysteriously. “Maybe we’ll see each other soon, under different circumstances of course.”

Coulson was confused by the interaction and decided to take a note of it to report to Fury later. “Mr. Smith, I appreciate that you’ve come, but do you know who he is?”

“Thor Odinson, check the Norse mythology about them.” said Pluto casually. “About Mjolnir as well, that’s what this is.” said Pluto, showing off the hammer by juggling it.

“M-Mjolnir?” Coulson stuttered.

“Yeah, don’t disturb me alright, I’ll help you deal with him, after I’m done with him, a man by the name of Erik Selvig should come to pick him up, give it to him.”

“Sir?”

“Just do what I say agent.” said Pluto. “After that, watch him closely, I’ll do something later on, and do not disturb me, no matter what. Got it?”

“R-Roger that…”

Pluto hummed. “Good.”

He then disappeared from the place, leaving the SHIELD agents confused.

Pluto then appeared in front of Thor, who was wailing in pain on the ground.

“Painful, isn’t it?” Pluto questioned as he slammed the hammer to Thor’s face again, making a loud boom.

“U-Uncle… Please stop…”

“Why? I thought you said that I am beneath you, surely you can fight back.” said Pluto, slamming the hammer again, breaking a couple of bones.

When Pluto saw that his body couldn’t handle it anymore, he rewind his body back to where it was still uninjured, and hit him again with his hammer.

“Come on! Fight back!” Shouted Pluto as thunder roars in the sky.

“U-Uncle I-I’m sorry…” Thor coughed up blood. “I- I was wrong…”

“Wrong about what?” Pluto said, kicking Thor’s face.

“I-I shouldn’t… I shouldn't have provoked the Jotuns…”

“That’s it?” Pluto said, still kicking Thor on the ground.

“A-And… And that I am beneath you… not the other way around…”

Pluto stopped kicking, and smiled. “Good.”

Pluto dropped the bloodied hammer to the ground, cracking the dirt. He rewinds Thor’s body, so he’s not injured anymore.

“You are not a god Thor,” said Pluto calmly. “There are many powerful beings, those are gods, not your puny self.”

“I- I just want the Jotuns to fear me…”

“You’re lying.” said Pluto, he was about to strike Thor, but he saw Thor flinched, making him stop. “You are a spoiled child. Since birth, you have everything, the only thing you know are battles, and you never saw the desolation of war. Not battle Thor, but war. War is terrible, and men must become terrible to wage it, which makes you a terrible person. You have a choice between peace and war, yet you choose the worse one, that makes you a terrible king.”

Pluto then kicked the Mjolnir so that it was near Thor. “Take it.”

Thor Pulled the hammer, but it didn’t work. “I- I can’t…”

Pluto sighed. “You know Thor, I was once a terrible person, maybe I still am, I don’t know, but at least I learned from my mistakes, from my experiences, unlike you. I taught, Thena taught you, yet you never learn…”

“I- I’m sorry….” Thor coughed, bearing the pain of Pluto’s punches.

“So right now, I will give you one final lesson,” said Pluto. “You always thought that I’m cruel, right Thor? Fine, I’ll become your villain in your story now.”

Pluto then knelt to the ground. “I will teach you humility, and despair.”

Pluto then vanished, leaving Thor laying on the ground in pain, and the bloodied hammer beside him. The SHIELD agents then ran towards him, apprehending him again.
