Chapter 111: Not Done Yet
Chapter 111: Not Done Yet
The hall was filled with silence after Elliot's declaration. The prisoners, even his friends, looked bamboozled.
"Hey, Mr. Ed," Hope whispered. "If Mr. Moon would act as god, and father says he makes stupid decisions, would that harm us?"
Ed chuckled, never leaving his amused eyes at Elliot. "Yeah. I guess we're all doomed if that happens."
"Oh," Hope let out.
"But that was with the previous Elliot," Ed continued. "He seemed to use his brain often now. Which is good. We don't have to worry about a lot of things."
"But how will you act as god?" a Succubus asked. "From what I feel, the man who bears two swords has more magical potential than you. How will you be able to prove to us that you can save us?"
Elliot brandished his sword and slowly activated his magic, streaks of red aura started to swirl around him as he raised his weapon.
"Enhanced Lotus Blast!" He slashed to eight different directions within a split second, and firing the lotus flower in the middle, forming a large lotus flower. He did this four times, each Lotus Blast seemed to be more powerful than the last.
Elliot had found a way to enhance his Lotus Blast ability. By the hybridization of his buff skill, Supreme Malevolence, he could raise the next offensive magic he would cast.
As Elliot casted his skill over the other, the petals and the flower seemed to grow brighter. It was as if the sun has come down and rained upon the prisoners with its light, the horned ans winged Seductors basking in its glory.
"This is just one of my abilities," Elliot said. "I have more in my arsenal, ones that would guarantee your safety if you would just come with me. And to be honest, I am not done. I am far from done. I have a lot more room to grow and a lot more opportunities to play god with my own bare hands."
"He's really convincing," Connor chukled. "I know when Gomorrah and Santi said that most of these people hadn't seen what real magic was and that we only need to flaunt some of our skills, but damn. Elliot is really showing off."
"And with me are my friends." Elliot gestured to them and made them stand with him. "One who put up this fortress, a formidable protective skill, one can cast flames that could melt even the hardest metals, one who can morph into a terrifying dragon that could wipe cities with a roar, and one who can nullify even magic itself."
"Okay, he's overdoing it," Connor shook his head. "Melt even the hardest metals, I can't believe it."
"This mark" an old woman trailed off and walked over to Connor. Her gasp had shut Elliot off, everyone's attention turning to her who was walking towards the cloaked boy. "Could you please show me your hand?"
Connor was baffled for a few seconds, looking around to see if anyone knew anything. When he failed, he could only raise his right hand and show the back of it to the old woman.
Seeing the tip of a thin line tattoo, the woman requested for Connor to pull his sleeve up. The boy had no other choice but to fold his sleeves up, folding them up to his elbow.
The older Seductors gasped. The thin and minimal tattooed symbols on Connor's arm was familiar to them. A mark that they never thought they could see again.
"He's the Heir!" the old woman cried and fell to her knees. "The Heir to the Throne of the Realm of Inferno, our Ruler, Sabbath!"
"Sabbath!" All of the Seductors got on their kees and praised Connor like a god. Some were crying, while others were pleading over him.
"Our Sabbath had come to save us," an Incubus yelled. "Our Ruler has come!"
Lance deactivated his fortress, making him and Elliot come down and watch their friend becoming flustered while he was being praised.
"It seems like your little speech was overpowered by Connor's presence," Ed teased, wiggling his brow at Elliot with a playful grin on his lips.
Elliot could only sigh, signalling Connor so that the boy would notice him.
"Let us go," Elliot mouthed, pointing to the exit. "Tell them, to go."
Connor nodded, clearing his head with the embarrassing thoughts and spoke, "Everyone, as you have noticed, I am the Heir to the Realm. As an Heir, it is my duty to save everyone from this god -forsaken condition. This isn't living, this is just not dying."
"What shall we do, Ruler?" one asked.
Connor sought Elliot for help, making sure that they were in the same page before he would instruct the people. He pursed his lips and pointed it at the exit, his face full of questioning.
"Yes," Elliot mouthed and nodded his head vigorously.
"Everyone, please head to the exit," Connor instructed, brandishing his sword and pointed at the exit. "We will protect you with all that we can, even I, as your Heir will do the best I can to protect everyone. I will put everyone to safety, somewhere where you can all live freely. Somewhere you can use your abilities for good."
"If he means something like Lizzy's bar, then"
Hope cut Ed off by punching him lightly in the gut. Elliot saw this and clapped his hands, laughing as Ed clutched his stomach in pain.
"Not the time for that talk, Mr. Ed," Hope playfully quirked his brow up. "Try again later."
"O-Okay," Ed coughed.
"Pfft. Even Hope has had it with your peculiar way of talking, Ed," Lance snorted.
He was the one who led the way along with Connor. The latter had his wisps floating above the narrow hall for the prisoners to see the way clearly.
Ed was in the middle to ensure that no one would be left behind, or in case something goes wrong and each of the sides need backup, while Elliot and Hope stayed at the back.
The two who stayed had to check the large dungeon to make sure no one was left behind. When they made sure it was clear, Elliot and Hope followed the line of people out of the pitiful place.
Once they got to the hall filled with doors, Lance put up a long cloth-like veil over them, covering them against the guards on patrol.
"Is everyone accounted for?" Connor asked as they exited the narrow hallway. He bumped into Ed who was frozen in spot.
Lord Caezar was standing at the end of the corridor. The old man raised his hands and three mages ran towards him.
"You thought I was done?"
